Lena march to the main house trying to find Cleaven, she has been waiting for so long and yet he is not back. She finds out from a warrior that he seems to have arrived back at his room and she could see the light on from a distance.

She speed run through the house and soon arrive at the front of the door in seconds, three warriors stand in front of the door and that make her feel something is wrong.

Cleaven always place warriors at his doors whenever something big happens, Lena walks to the door and want to get in but the guard stop her.

"I'm sorry but you can't go in now, the Alpha said nobody should be allowed in"

"I’m sure that doesn’t include me” she told her and tries to walk past them but they refuse.

She exhale angrily and send one of the guard's flying off with a kick, the other two tried their best to stop her but they are no match at all.

Feeling pleased, Lena open the door and as she is about to step in, Toby's voice make her halt, knowing she would be stopped by him if he gets to her, she hurry inside, speed running through the passage.

She could feel Toby behind her but she made it before he could outrun her and push the door open only to be welcome with an unpleasant scene.

Maria feel helpless as he growl at her, trap in between his arms which are both leaning at the wall that feel like falling down any minute.

She know well not to trigger him in this state, so she stay still and wavering praying she do not get eaten.

He lean his face forward and her body pull back involuntarily but he move in again and her heart stop beating for two seconds.

She has the feeling he want to do more than eating her alive and weirdly, she feel like she want him to do it to her.

Her brain feel like being control by something that is not her and when he lean his face close again, she didn't move away but remain stiff like a rock.

The three seconds kiss had every senses of hers grow hotter and she lose the ability to breathe but it only lasted a moment and she feel thirst for a long lasting taste of it again.

She tilt her head to a side ready for his kiss and wishing for it to be slower this time waits for his kiss, however, before it could happen, the door are push open and break the attraction.

Maria feels like she has been enchanted by him just now and pushes him roughly away with a loud yell.

She watch the fury look drain from his face and a displeasure set as he immediately get up and move away from her, his eyes turn to the person who has just burst in completely ignoring her.

Cleaven rush to Lena who look like blood has been drained from her face and try to convince her about what she had just seen but the right words isn’t coming out as easy as he wanted it to be.

He know it has been Lena’s nightmare for him to find his mate ever since they find out that they are not mates and how devastated she would be if she know this young girl behind him is his destined mate.

"What is going on here?" She questioned taking a deep exhale at every step she takes forward.

"Nothing" Cleaven quickly answers her.

"Whatever you have just seen now was nothing, not now, not ever" he said and he mean it.

He signal to Toby who is standing behind Lena to get the girl out of his room and he did immediately as he is instructed. He pulls Lena into a hug not ready to tell her that her worst nightmare has come to pass.

Toby drops the plates of food on the table and turn to the girl who cower away on the bed.

"Come eat" he urges her hoping the varieties of delicacies would entice her but she didn't bulge.

It has been two days since Cleaven asked him to take her out of his room and he has kept her in his own house instead when he has nowhere safe to keep her.

He has not received any instruction about her since then and it seems the Alpha has forgotten about her completely.

Toby has tried making her eat something but compare to her small body, she has a really strong will and strong body to endure hunger for two days straight.

Knowing he has failed to entice her again, he sits beside her and she move further away from him hugging her kneels to her body.

"Where do you come from? Did you have a name? Any family I can help you contact?" He asked the same questions he has always asked but yet receives her silent for as an answer.

Toby give a low sigh and hope she yield soon so he could help her find her family and send her to them, his mate, Naira, has been on the edge lately about him bringing a girl back home.

He knows Naira would have inform Lena that the girl is in staying in his house and Lena must have inform the Alpha about it, so why is it taking so long for him to come for her, after all, she is his true mate.

"I am rejecting her" Cleaven inform Toby who is shock to hear him say that.

He knows how much Cleaven love Lena but he thought the bond between mates would erase any other feeling of another woman even Lena.

When he first met Naira, he could not control himself and had to mate with her right on the spot and since then they have been inseparable. He could not bear to leave her for anything and neither could she stay a day without seeing him.

"Are you going to be okay?" He asked as much as he hate the idea of him rejecting his mate, he want him to be happy.

"Lena is not happy and I hate to see her unhappy" he said looking very sad and tired having being deprived of sleep for days.

Cleaven take a breath and turn his face away so Toby won't see the look of hurt in his eyes, he has been unable to sleep for the past three days.

He keeps feeling his mate emotions and it is full of sadness, anguish, and fear. His heart keep longing for closeness with her.

Even when he holds Lena in his arms, he could not help the thought of his mate hovering in his brain cells. Every part of his body wants to know her, to feel her.

The taste of her lips keep lingering in his head and he try to feel guilty for kissing a teenager rather than ruminate about the pleasure and sweetness he tasted that fateful night.

She looks so young so he assumed that she had just shifted and has longer years ahead even though he hated it, he wished she would find someone better than him who will love her and treat her better.

For the first time, he's thankful that Lena and him do not have the mind link thing, if not their relationship would have been damaged.

To worsen it all, he feel horny at the mere thought of her and whenever that happens, Prince also loses his mind desiring for his mate.

"When will the ritual be done?"

"Tomorrow is the next full moon, you will bring her"

He said and Toby understands why he had left her with him for so long, it was because he was waiting for the full moon so he could reject her and get it over with.

He knows he's going to have a war with Prince about the rejection and pray that it survive the rejection and get over it as quick as possible.

Just as long as it brings happiness to Lena, he does not mind suffering the excruciating pain that follows after the rejection ritual.

Maria stands where she has been asked to and waits for what's to happen. She has been mourning Janine for days, crying herself to sleep and end up having to wake up five minutes with the horrible nightmare of that night.

The mark between her neck seem to be adding more trouble to her as it feels painful for some reason every night, It feel like it is calling out to someone.

Maria do not know much about mates but she could feel it that night when she was in the room of the man who claimed to have saved her, that he is her mate.

She felt the desire to submit her to him and be with him for the rest of her life and never to separate from him, it felt just exactly like Janine described.

And she could guess from the past few days that she had spend in the other man's house that her mate does not want her.

After spending four days without seeing him, Maria barely control herself not to rush into his arms as he stand in at a distance in front of her.

She has been told by the one who brought her over that it is a rejection ritual and she is told what to say.

As much as she isn't happy about getting reject by her mate, she feared what will happen when they find out that she cannot actually speak.

She has been trying for the few days and yet her lips won't open for her to speak. It seemed like it is her punishment for trying to escape her cursed fate.

The moonlight shine brightly on them so she is able to see his face clearly and admire it for the short moment but also it make her see the hatred shoot being thrown at her by the eyes standing behind him.

It's the same lady who has barged into the room that night.

Is he trying to reject her because of this woman? She wondered

Without intending it, Rage build up in her body and she clench her hands in a fist sending glares back at her.

She seem catch unaware when she see her glaring back and make to charge at her but she is stopped by him and Maria could feel her heart aching.

Is he trying to show off their affection for each other?

"The moon has reached the peak" Toby said and everyone concentrate on the ritual.

Cleaven move two steps close and look at her even though he dread doing so, Prince hasn't been quiet and he hope to be in control till the ceremony ends.

"I, Cleaven Belt, reject you..."

Cleaven pause in his words and all eyes turn to him wondering why he stopped especially Lena who has been feeling unsettled ever since.

"What is your name?" He asked surprised that he hasn't bothered to find out her name yet.

Others turn their attention back to her realizing none of them has an idea what her name is or where she came from. She remains silent like she has no idea what she is being asked and that infuriates Lena.

She jumps in front of her before Cleaven could stop her and grab her neck in a pretty tight grip.

"Speak you dimwit, what is your name? Where the hell are you from?" She yelled furiously.

"Lena, you might kill her before we have the chance to find her name" Naira told her worried she would really snap her neck.

Toby step forward to save her and push Lena away to Cleaven who hold her from falling. He turns to the girl to see if she's okay and she did not seem flinch but Cleaven could feel her anger from within. It rages terror.

For the first time in her life, Maria wished she has the power of the Ancient wolf and set the woman ablaze. She is choking really badly in her throat but somehow she can't cough out and could only suffer the terrible chest pain.

"Are you okay?" Toby asked seeing the squeezed her face.

Naira bites her lips and pulls him away from her and gives him a warning glare not to get so close again.

"Guys, I don't think she can speak" Naira said after a long close observation

They all stare back at Maria again to confirm if it is true.

Lena looks most distress about the fact that the girl could speak, then it will be impossible to break the bond between them.

Maria's heart had a fit of panic with all the eyes looking at her and as much as she want to open her lips and give a piece of her mind, she just can't.
