The last few days had been grueling. Luna Carlotta watched me with eagle eyes as I combed through budgets and schedules for hours. If I made a mistake, she was sure to point it out and give me a stern lecture on my shortcomings. However, I had worked diligently and paid attention to detail, so mistakes were few and far inbetween.
My stomach growled as I walked into the dining room. Derek rose from the head of the table and went to pull out my chair, kissing the top of my head when I was seated.
