Tadamichi pulled himself up short on the blow aimed for Hyakuhei and stared with what one could say was a hopeful expression. Kyoko was protecting him. The priestess he’d loved so many centuries before was taking a stand against his brother. Tadamichi swallowed at the very idea that she did indeed love him. She had to love him if she was preventing his death and he fought the urge to smile as this was thrown in Hyakuhei’s face… thrown not by him, but by the one they both desired.
