I turn to see Eclipse smiling at me. He's in the doorway, stroking his beard.
"Apex, do you see something that intrigues you?"
Sliding my phone into my pocket, I glare at him.
“Nice pack photograph. Kallisto looks happy with the woman holding her." I decide to question Eclipse about Kallisto's biological parents.
“You seem intrigued by things that are so simple on their face." Eclipse chuckles.
Is he pretending to read my mind or did he just confirm that the woman holding the baby and the man standing beside her were Kallisto's biological parents? Of course, there's the third option, Eclipse is f*cking with my mind.
"The photo," I start, taking the bait. "From everything I read, her parents were Omegas with special powers. Were they the couple in that picture?"
