Professor’s assignment

CHAPTER ELEVEN
~DAPHNE~
The party ended a few hours later, and I helped Kennedy back to the hall. She was drunk and wasted so we couldn’t hold a sensible conversation. She passed out on the bed after a few minutes. I decided to check my phone to get an update on my brothers. I sent several texts and calls but none of them were picked up. An hour later, Dominique sent a text.
“We have paid for Dylan’s surgery so he’ll be going into the theater soon,”
That was all? No other update? I sighed as I checked the message on my phone and I could only hope that everything would go well. The next day was the start of a new course in class. First period was Professor Fox’s class and after that was Majesty ladies' class.
I exhaled. How do I face Professor Fox after confessing that I wanted his d**k inside of me? How do I look him in the eyes after moaning his name?
“My head is banging right now!” Kennedy groaned as she put on her shoes. I was already dressed and waiting for her.
“No surprises there, you had a lot to drink last night. Are you coming down for breakfast?”
“I don’t think so,” she said, holding her head in pain. “You can go without me. I need to rest for a few minutes before class,"
I nodded and left for the cafeteria. I was nervous about going without Kennedy but I couldn’t afford to skip my meals because I had back-to-back classes.
I went to the busy cafeteria and picked up a plate. My eyes scanned the buffet table, filled with all sorts of food. I picked up some toast, bacon, and eggs as well as a cup of coffee and went to sit at a far corner at the end of the hall.
No sooner had I started eating when I felt a presence. It was Laken, placing his tray of fries and chicken on the table and sitting opposite me. I rolled my eyes, not in the mood to talk to him.
“What do you want?”
“Come on, cupcake! You don’t have to be so rude,”
“Can you leave me alone,” I exhaled, a frown plastered on my face.
“You didn’t want me to leave you alone yesterday when you shoved your lips down my throat,”
I rolled my eyes again.
“It was a mutual kiss. Don’t act like it was one-sided. Plus, we were simply putting on a show because we were dared,”
“It looked like you were enjoying the show a little too much,” he smirked, taking out a piece of his fries and putting it in his mouth.
“Look, I don’t want trouble, okay? Focus on your girlfriend, Yolanda. Or is it Yasmine,”
“If you wanted to know if I had a girlfriend, then all you had to do was ask,” he said, sitting back on his seat, a cocky thug at the edge of his lips.
“You’re really humble,” I scoffed.
“Neither of them is my girlfriend. It’s just fun to me,”
I paused and blinked twice. “Really?”
“Yes, cupcake. I am ‘very’ single,”
“Don’t call me that!”
“What?” His brows curved.
“Cupcake,”
“Ah…well that’s not up to you to decide,”
I sat up leaning a bit closer to the table. “So you’re really not dating any of them? Are you sure about that?”
“Of course I’m sure,” he shrugged. “I never asked any of them out. I’m simply attracted to them and we have a good time together, that’s it,”
I shook my head. Yasmine and Yolanda displayed such drama for a guy who hasn’t claimed them? How astonishing.
“Does Yolanda know Yasmine sucks your d**k in the dark?”
His jaw clenched at the mention of that.
“That’s not my problem,” he finally blurted out. “See you later, cupcake,”
He winked at me and walked away. I glanced at the tray of fries he left on the table and sighed. Despite the fact that the plan was to stay away from him, he somehow managed to get intertwined with me.
I sighed and quickly finished eating before going to class. I took my seat beside Kennedy.
“Feeling better already?” I glanced at her.
“Yeah, I guess,”
“Good morning, class,” Professor Fox’s deep voice penetrated the air as he walked in. Everyone swiftly settled into their seats.
“Morning Professor Fox!” The class chorused.
“I trust you all had a good night and if you didn’t, you still have no choice but to focus in class today,”
There was a light chuckle among the students.
“Moving on! Today I’m going to be teaching the basics of mental strength and after that, you'll get your assignment for your group partners. The mind is a very powerful tool, wolves.
“I dare to say it’s the most powerful element a wolf has to master. Whatever you want to conquer, it starts from training your mind to eliminate fear and tapping into your mental capacity that later transforms into your physical powers ....”
My mind drifted off as I watched him speak so gracefully. How can someone so young be so knowledgeable, and so dangerously beautiful too? The universe is unfair, giving all those amazing qualities to one person.
Despite the fact that he was standing in front of me, images of him tormented my thoughts. I was filled with so much lust that I feared he would never leave my head until I had a taste of him. Soon, the lectures came to an end.
“So your project with your partner is to spend time with them and find out their deepest secret. Each one of you will email me your secret and when it’s time, you’ll reveal each other’s secret. Whoever gets their partner’s secret gets five percent out of their partner’s score so make sure to put your best in this,”
And with that, the class was dismissed.
This is definitely an interesting project. So I have to find out Laken’s darkest secret? I was curious to know what that would be.
