Trisha POV Erik and I had decided to sit the mile run out because I felt woozy. My head was spinning. Gavin’s cologne or whatever it was, was interrupting my ability to think clearly and I swore I was dripping with lust. I swore I could feel droplets running down my thighs, even now as I sat cross-legged watching the others run. “I think Gavin likes you,” Erik teased. I turned to him with an incredulous look. “What? No! I think he’s just being nice. I’ve done nothing but made a fool of myself today…” Erik laughed. “Be in denial all you want. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who noticed the tent in his shorts!” I snorted. I had better things to do than stare at a guy’s crotch. “Of course you’d notice something like that. I personally don’t see why it matters. I’m never going to date anyone.” Erik waggled his eyebrows at me and pointed to the field. “Never say never,” He snickered. I followed his pointing finger and gasped involuntarily upon seeing Gavin had removed his shirt. It felt like I wet myself as suddenly erotic thoughts of running my hands down those firm pecs and tracing those abs while moaning his name as he drove his long, hard member into my… Wait, what!? I couldn’t take this. Something was wrong with me. Maybe I was sick. I jumped to my feet, staggering a moment as a wave of nausea hit me. Then I bolted toward the locker room showers. Once there, I felt the contents of my stomach churn and hurried to the nearest toilet. There, I heaved all my breakfast. Yep, I was definitely getting sick. I flushed the toilet and rinsed my mouth at the tap, spitting the foul tasting water back in the sink. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My face was flushed and my pupils dilated. I took a few moments to steady my breathing that had become erratic due to my pulsating bud and core. I wasn’t sure why my body was acting this way. I was a virgin, I’d never felt intimacy with a man. When I was molested, my uncle hadn’t managed to do more than force some nude pictures and touch my breasts before we were interrupted-thankfully. The memory made me shiver and tears pool in my eyes. I had the urge to pleasure myself, but even that thought felt wrong. I’d never do that. Instead, I grabbed a towel and stripped, getting into one of the showers. I turned the cold water on and relished the feel of it as it hit my face and chest. As it dribbled down further, it cooled and soothed my aching s*x. I sighed in contentment and let the water run over me until I heard the other girls begin to make their way into the locker room. I quickly got out and dried myself, dressing once more in my jeans and blouse, but making sure to change into my spare underwear I always had incase my cycle started. I also put a pad on, just in case. I wasn’t ready to go home yet. Now that I had some time alone, I was feeling better, even though there was still an uncomfortable pressure in my abdomen from the need for release. I gathered my clothes and began leaving to my next class before the next bell rang. I knew Erik would be worried about me, but I wanted as much distance between Gavin and I as much as possible right now. For whatever reason, he seemed to trigger these strange sensations in my body. Was this a crush? Or something more? I shook my head. I was being ridiculous. I was just sick, my period had to be coming or something. That had to be it. It was the only rational explanation. I hurried to my locker and traded my gym clothes for my art portfolio, binder, and art kit. Then hurried off to art. I arrived early and waited for the first bell and then the second as students began trickling in. Please, please, please don’t let Gavin share my next period! Please! I prayed, but then my heart sank when the second bell rang and Gavin entered. I slumped my head to my desk as the suffocating heat and pressure built up once more. Not again… Gavin POV Eon let me withdraw our aura! We are obviously causing our mate discomfort! Let me do this my way! But Eon ignored me. Ever since we discovered what our aura did to Trisha, Eon intentionally kept it out enough to affect her and wouldn’t let me draw it in further. It made students around me submit, and Trisha was visibly struggling. Eon, if for no other reason, then to protect her from these other males! Drop our aura! Now! I pointedly looked at a male shifter whose eyes were that of his beast, his nostrils flaring at Trisha’s scent. His nails were turning to claws and digging into the desk as he struggled to hold himself back. I knew Eon was looking at him, because the sudden fury that engulfed me was intense. ‘Fine.’ Eon finally relented and our aura retracted. God, it should NOT have taken me two and half class periods to reel in my wolf. The mate bond was already taking effect. I watched as finally Trisha’s tense and shaking shoulders finally relaxed and she slumped in her chair, her eyes drooping. I decided then to raise my hand. When the teacher called upon me, I pointed to Trisha. “Sorry to interrupt sir, but Trisha doesn’t look so good. Do you mind if I escort her to the nurse’s office?” the lycan knew I wasn’t really asking permission. I had to put on a farce for Trisha. He nodded. “She does look a bit pale and out of breath. You may assist her to the nurse’s office,” He told me and I stood. Trisha’s eyes widened as I neared her, but she stood on shaky legs and tried to lead the way out. Only as she took a step, she swayed and almost face planted. I caught her in my arms and she looked up at me in an embarrassed and exhausted heap, sweat glistening on her brow. See what you’ve done Eon! She won’t last if we let our aura slip! ‘If you would just mate her, there would be nothing to complain about!’ I clenched my jaw and fought back a retort as I gingerly wrapped Trisha’s arm over my shoulders and supported her as we walked to the nurse’s office. Once at the office, the faerie nurse looked at me with a raised brow. I lay her down in the only bed in the room and almost as soon as Trisha’s head hit the pillow, sleep engulfed her. I knew then, that despite her appearance, Trisha was not immune to auras. She simply had a very high resistance, otherwise mine, mate bond or not, would not have affected her in such an intense manner. Which made me wonder if my brothers' auras could make her submit if they tried hard enough. “What’s wrong with her, your grace?” the faerie asked me. Although I am a lycan, being a Royal demanded all species treat me with respect. There were, of course, other species of Royals, but they held equal power to my own. The only one superior was my father, who was the ruler of all rulers. The King of all kingdoms. However all of our subjects revered each Royal line equally. “My aura was too much for her. I was testing its limits today. She simply needs to rest. And perhaps…could you alleviate her pheromones?” The faerie once again raised another brow at me, but nodded. I knew he wouldn’t ask, but probably suspected something was off. Human pheromones rarely got this strong typically, unless being exposed to s****l stimulation of some kind. And in a way, she had been. But the faerie didn’t need to know that. I watched as he ran a hand over her body without touching her. A blue light emitted from his palm until he seemed to find the source and touched her stomach where the light absorbed and then coursed through her veins. Immediately her scent of arousal vanished, and Trisha visibly relaxed into a deeper, more peaceful sleep. The light then dissipated “Does this mean you are finally going to be able to tame this Rogue?” he asked suddenly, and my eyes jolted up to him. Eon growled softly and I knew my pupils dilated to show his presence. I didn’t realize how insulting the nickname was for her. And I decided then that I wanted it to end. “I don’t want her called that anymore. She has simply been…misunderstood. As for taming, she doesn’t need taming. Rather…some gentle guidance,” I tried to word it carefully so that they would not understand the truth behind them. ‘You may as well have just told her you’re going to seduce her into submission.’ Eon’s words made me angry. What the hell is that supposed to mean? ‘Faeries can see lies you coxcomb saddle-goose!’ I snorted at his 5th century insult. How dare he call me a conceited fool! I know full well they can! Hence why it wasn’t a lie, but a gentle, subtle version of the truth. And don’t insult me without recompense, dilberry maker! I smirked in satisfaction as it was Eon’s turn to snort as I essentially called him an asshole. He turned his rear to my mind’s eye and walked away. I nodded to the faerie, who seemed to be watching me silently bicker with my wolf in amusement. Then I turned and left. Sometimes, being as old as I am, meant I had just as colorful of a vocabulary.
