Plotting Deaths Pt.3

Charles laughed, “You have to love women. Offer to help them, they say no. Then the mate bond comes into play and they compromise.” He needed to shut up. Although that was an accurate point. Angelique laughed, “I did take you up on the offer to kill some Bounty Hunters.” Charles winked at her, “And they were delicious.” This mother fucker. I rubbed my face. Arthur chuckled, “You are not making friends tonight, my old friend.” No, he was not. Charles replied, “Making friends is overrated. Besides, I’m friends with their mates. I even saw K.” If he was about to bring up my mate in any sort of suggestive way, he was dead. My dad was resigned to this Vampire dying knowing exactly how I planned to react. Charles chuckled, “How unsurprising she is mated to who appears to be the crown prince of the Hackura. Who would let her convince him to give me a head start before killing me. She is convincing.” He needed to shut up. I asked, “How could you possibly know who I am?” My dad sent I knew that answer, and I did. I just wanted him to say it and stop talking about my mate. Charles laughed, “If Melanie knows who you are; I know who you are. She knows who all of you are, and she works very hard to protect you. She always has.” I raised an eyebrow at him. Gabe snorted, “Lovely.” Alexander asked, “Angelique, where is Melanie?” Charles laughed, “Angelique would’ve wanted to come back sooner. K would’ve taken her time. She’s always wanted her mate, provided he wasn’t an asshole.” I stood. He held up his hands, “Her words, not mine. She’ll want the perfect gift, then she’ll sit Mel down and have a chat that won’t go well.” He needed to stop being the expert on our women. Alexander snarked, “What chat would that be?” Aunt Haley actually rolled her eyes. Charles said, “To explain your behavior towards me.” Alexander growled, “How about your behavior towards me?” Charles laughed, “It didn’t appear that I did anything to you, young wolf; however, her wolf friends here will point it out. She will concede that point, but I fear you will not convince her your reaction was warranted. I’ll get a stern talking to. She is so feisty and fun.” Sadly, I agreed with him. She would not agree however Alexander reacted was what should've happened. Tristan argued, “Ladybug will understand.” Charles said, “Oh, she understands quite a bit. People underestimate that about her. The problem is that while she understands, she will not agree. I do so look forward to her proving her point.” f**k. I did not. Alexander asked, “About what?” Charles smiled, “Your behavior. From what I know about you, she will have plenty of opportunities to do so.” No, she was not about to treat every woman that wanted Alexander like he treated Charles. Right? I was getting a sinking feeling she was. He chuckled, “She will. Things are not gray to my dear Melanie. They are clearly black and white. I’d advise you to watch your step around the opposite s*x or find they will get punched in the face. Because that will be her proving a point.” I felt shock and horror from Kingsley before Kayda’s indignation. What the f**k? Pain hit me before it went static. I hit my knee while Alexander screamed in pain hitting the floor. Gabe shouted, “H!” I ground out, “K is out.” Angelique snorted, “No.” I replied, “She is.” Angelique said, “Nothing takes K down. Literally, nothing. I mean barbed wire b***h tried and she was sluggish but not down.” She was absolutely unconscious. Alexander shouted, “EJ!” I watched EJ pop out. I said, “We need to go…” It was as far as I got before I watched my cousin bounce three times before he popped up. The Ring was after MY MATE?! Did they know? Did someone f**k up and give them up as Resistance members? I shouted, “WHERE ARE THEY?” Angelique whispered, “Florida.” I questioned, “Where in Florida?” Angelique winced admitting, “I don’t know. Kingsley knows all the secret paths down there. She lived there for a while.” Of course she did. Cassie popped in. I watched Alexander try to pop to Melanie while my Aunt cried. He fell harder than EJ had when he was thrown back. I asked my dad, “Do they know about Melanie? K is out, but Melanie is clearly in severe pain.” He said, “That doesn’t make sense.” Angelique said, “What if it’s a car accident?” Kingsley could’ve been knocked out from something while Melanie was still conscious. I was hanging on my bond with Kinglsey so tightly I missed things going around me. She needed to regain consciousness. I threw strength at her, but she couldn't pull it. Sierra said, “Charles, you need to see if you can track their watches. Only you could understand the instructions.” Micah snorted, “Am I not standing right here? I can understand the instructions. Give them to me.” Charles questioned, “Why waste time? Melanie will contact you all shortly.” Dead. I wanted to kill him right here and now. I felt Kingsley wake up. Kayda was rip roaring pissed and ready for vengeance. I whispered, “Kingsley vigilat. Kayda occidere vult. Kingsley sollicitus est de Melanie. Nunc attonitus est. Non puto esse simul amplius (Kingsley is awake. Kayda wants to kill. Kingsley is worried about Melanie. She's panicking now. I don't think they are together anymore).” My dad said, “Of course not. We will get them both back. We’ll go after K and they can get Melanie.” I nodded. Alexander shouted, “Get her location!” I heard beeping. Charles said, “Ahhh there she is.” Huh? Alexander managed to stand before he was back down. The f**k? Kingsley was now fighting and felt fury and heart stoppingly panicked for a second before reason kicked back in. Kayda was confident in Melanie. Had they told my mate Melanie was dead? Melanie’s contacted Sierra. The pain in her voice told me she was used to this. She worked this way and it wasn’t anything new to her. Her anger had me looking at my dad. That was a leader who had one of theirs taken. She was still acting like an Alpha blood. Melanie confirmed Kingsley had been taken. She was the target. Those motherfuckers weren’t prepared for what I was going to do to their souls. I punched my hand through my Aunt and Uncle’s wall that was instantly prepared. Angela sent panic and guilt. I sent her back that I’d stopped her from looking into Charles path. This was on me, not her. Valentina chimed in, “If we are dealing with demons Angelique and I should shimmer us to K.” Angelique nodded, “She’s right. Though apperating would scare the s**t out of them.” I needed us all to go though. Valentina snorted, “You can’t apparate with people.” I loved that little Demon so much right now. Angelique sighed, “That’s true. I shouldn’t have left them.” Valentina said, “They should’ve been fine. Melanie is going to be pissed.” Mason said, “We will never hear the end of this. They had to be in a car accident.” That was not even remotely a concern to me right now. Alexander declared, “They got hit.” Sierra said, “The tracker stopped. They are stationary.” Angelique laughed, “I bet K got free is wreaking havoc.” She’d been free for a while. Was there a delay on the tracker? Or did it just come up for her? It was Melanie so it just came up. I’d have to tell her about the delay eventually. Kayda felt incredulously angry. Almost as if she felt whoever took her had a lot of audacity. The need to see my mate hummed in my veins. Valentina said, “She had to have hit her head or they couldn’t have taken her.” What did that mean? I demanded, “Someone shimmer me to my mate NOW!” Angelique grabbed my hand. She already had Gabe’s and my dad. Arvid and Alivn faded in with mom. Brenton lunged at the last second. I felt Kingsley’s relief that we were here. She knew I was coming for her just as she knew she could handle this on her own. A slew of emotions flew through me as I realized she was no longer used to being alone. She knew we were coming because we were her Thunder. I shouted out a war cry when I saw her wrist and the dried blood on her head. They made my Queen bleed. I flew into battle and pulled an axe off my back. I threw it and ripped my way through them. Brenton called, “Hey, let a little bro have your back.” I did something I rarely did, I ignored him. I didn’t need anyone to tell me who these guys were. I’d had people looking for them but not hard enough. Brenton caught up. He said, “This isn’t your fault.” I said, “These are the guys from Spain. They fled and hid. I should’ve hunted them down. They made her bleed and they left Melanie to die. I told Angela not to look into why Charles looked like he’d been in a fight because I thought it was with us. This could’ve been avoided. I watched Kingsley pull weapons from her watch. Brenton asked, “What the f**k?” I was focused on the blades. They were red and carved with Dragons. No one focused on that but me though. My dad asked, “Did the watch give her weapons? I need that damn watch.” I snorted, “We have weapons hidden on us at all times.” He grinned, “But everyone expects that. A watch that gives weapons is something we need.” I was almost to her when Melanie’s car literally roared into the field. If her eyes could blaze they’d be sun colored. I asked Brenton, “Do her eyes have a white glow-y tinge?” He said, “I think they did.” They looked more normal though. Maybe it was nothing. My family was ripping through any Demon near my mate while others were being thrown through portals. I felt how much it meant to my mate. Kayda might have leaked again given how she felt warm fuzzy that my family was killing for her and had shown up. Brenton asked, “What the f**k is she? She’s burning his head off but her hands aren’t on fire.” I didn’t actually know how that worked. She wasn’t lava level hot, but maybe that was to me. My mate and Melanie’s banter amused me. Rolfin was tripped and landed at my feet. I said, “Your soul has no idea the things I will do to you.” He stammered, “I’m….” I cut him off, “I know who you are. I was looking for you because you DARED to be rude to my mate over treating yours like shit.” Alvin took him and portaled behind Kingsley. Alexander healed Melanie and I waited holding my mate in my arms. She was healed and cleared of blood and I felt myself calm down in the bond. Kayda felt practically indignant and was determined to not to cry again. There was another reference to my mate’s head I felt like I needed to know about. Should I get her a helmet? Or a hair piece that was charmed to look cute that protected her head? Was it her whole head? What was going on?! I tried to get some details out of Melanie, but she wasn’t in the giving kind of mood. Maybe I needed to find out if I could bring out Drunk Melanie. She had the answers I wanted, apparently. Melanie was off and ranting about cars and accident statistics. Oh boy. Then she brought up Rolfin and my anger fired all over. She brought up a valid point about Guards. I needed to introduce Kingsley to hers, officially. The rant about tools in the watch had me curious. What else was in it? Cayden started hitting buttons on his clearly trying to find the right combination to get him a weapon. His watch would probably be geared towards him too. I wondered what weapons it had. I could literally care less about the Demon rejecting Roflin. Angelique seemed to be living for the real life drama in front of her though so I didn’t tell them to shut up. I was moderately concerned Rolfin was not going to hold up to my torture. Melanie was right, he was a weak willed yes man. I texted Uncle Gunner. Me: Kill of fake Grandpa Joe Uncle Gunner: Already did. I emailed her boss too. She’s on bereavement leave until after Christmas. Me: Good. I love you. Uncle Gunner: Love you too, kiddo. Me: 🙄 Uncle Gunner: You’ll always be the little boy I called kiddo to me, nephew. Me: Fine. Uncle Gunner: LOL I easily spotted the group goaded Melanie into ranting to relieve the tension after the seriousness of the situation. It didn’t seem to help her though. She seemed to get more riled about it. Her brother was on that though and Alexander would calm her down too. What did she do before? Handle these emotions herself? Alexander popped us out. Kingsley tried to sway him on Charles. I wasn’t sold on the Vampire himself. It would depend on who he was mated to. I wouldn’t hurt someone we knew if they marked him. I didn’t care for whatever Vampire tried to make my mate a pet. He might need to die. No one was going to collar my mate. I pinned her to the bed and slammed my lips on hers. I asked, “What’s this about your head?” She winced, “I have a soft spot. It’s not that big but…” I ordered, “Show me.” She pointed at the middle of the crown of her head. I gently kissed it and she shivered. Really? I said, “I’ll have Melanie invent something for it.” She winked, “It’s in the works. It’s not often people get it though.” Her kind would know about it and I was going to make sure she had the advantage. I flipped her over, “You need a spanking.” Kayda purred. I spanked her and she moaned. I grunted and lost myself until she came. I stripped my pants off and slammed into her. I told her, “I never want to feel you unconscious in our bond again. Do you understand me?” She moaned, “Ok.” I gripped her hips and slammed into her over and over. I twisted her n****e until she screamed my name and her p***y clenched around my d**k bringing me to my own orgasm. My dad tugged on the bond gently. I muttered, “Goddamn needing everyone to see everyone right f*****g now.” I had other plans. I sent my dad we needed to blood eagle the bastards. He agreed easily. I’d just put my plans with Kingsley on hold for her first blood eagle with us. I gently slid out of her and ordered, “Do not move a muscle.” She made some intelligible noise I took to mean ok. I grabbed lotion out of the bathroom and rubbed it on her ass before taking her to the closet. We both dressed and went downstairs. I warned my dad, “If Alexander isn’t down here…” He snorted, “They are in the kitchen.” I tugged Kingsley down in between my legs on the couch. Melanie asked, “So….next time we go shopping….how many Guards are we taking?” Dad snorted. Alexander replied, “My guard will be with you next time.” I chimed in, “My guard will be with Kingsley along with hers.” My dad sent me that was overkill but he wasn’t arguing. Kingsley sighed, “I was fine. A little bump to the head. I was more worried about Mel.” Melanie made a face before agreeing, “Annoyingly, that is true. She’s damn near indestructible.” Yes, but there was a soft spot on her head I needed covered as soon as possible. I heard popcorn crunching and knew exactly who was about to join this conversation. Melanie greeted, “Hi Dylan.” I knew he was taken aback since most people let him jump in with whatever he was going to say. He replied, “Hello, MelAshley. I’m glad you’re ok. I am DISTRAUGHT I stopped by my home and missed this event. Christmas is always so calm. You give into that feeling and it bites you in the tuchus.” It was never calm. It was always crazy around here. Dylan said, “Though you are firming up my theory on what she is.” He pointed at Kingsley. Melanie smugly asked, “What is that?” Dylan answered, “She’s a Pegasus.” I actually jolted because the look on her face was that he was wrong, but she knew them. We hadn’t been able to get them to answer the damn phone in centuries and she knew them. I felt Alexander’s shock when Melanie clearly confirmed over link that Pegasus’ were real. Dylan chided, “No silent conversations! I must be part of the action.” Kingsley said, “Life is more fun with mystery in it, Dylan Frost.” Dylan smiled, “I do like you, but I still think you’re a Pegasus. The other option is a werepanther big footed ostrich.” Melanie spit out my water and started to choke while Kingsley threw her head back and laughed. I pulled her in closer, feeling hers and Kayda’s utter amusement over the guess. She admitted, “That is easily the best guess anyone has ever given.” Dylan winked at her, “Stick around. That’s what I do.” That was true, but she already knew that. Kingsley edged over to Melanie and whispered, “I was terrified when I came to. I felt the jolt from my watch, but they told me you were dead. I think my heart stopped until I heard the beeps come through.” I squeezed her tightly. I would give them hell for making her think that. Melanie assured her, “It wasn’t close. I was out of the car the second they shimmered away. I would’ve gotten out before but I REALLY didn’t want to fight them at the time.” I offered, “I can replace the car.” I shrugged, “It’s not a big deal. It was just a car. We tend to go through a lot of them.” Kingsley sighed, “I liked that car.” Duly noted. I’d get the make and get her one. Melanie reiterated, “The car isn’t a big deal, we have more.” Micah jumped in, “I need lessons on how to track the watches.” She replied, “I have instructions written down. I can send them to you.” Sierra muttered, “He might actually understand them too.” Melanie argued, “They are easy to follow.” Sierra rolled her eyes which told me they were only easy for the techy people. Angelique laughed, “For you and Charles the instructions are easy to follow. For the rest of us, it’s practically hieroglyphics.” Micah said, “I’m sure I can follow it.” Melanie agreed, “You can. They aren’t that difficult.” Several people chuckled, but Kingsley didn’t. That must mean she’d figured it out. When we left she groaned, “I should probably get back.” I hummed, “Well, Grandpa Joe didn’t make it and you’re on leave.” She laughed, “You did not.” I replied, “I did. Which is good since there’s a group of Demons running around thinking they could DARE harm you or Kayda.” My family joined us. Everyone hugged her and I felt her getting emotional. She asked, “What are we doing?” I answered, “I don’t think Rolfin will hold up to torture.” She agreed, “There’s no way.” I said, “We are blood eagling them, then we can either leave the bodies on the platform or take them to my island.” Her eyes briefly flashed purple and I felt how much she liked that idea. She asked, “So, my first blood eagle.” I nodded, “Yes, we will show you what we do to people to hurt this family. The realm will rejoice and if you want to parti…” Just jumped in, “I do.” I nodded, “I’m not sure how many are there, but Rolfin is MINE to rip through.” My dad said, “We’ve got all the assignments.” Gideon and Griffen grinned. I snorted, “Are you two doing your first blood eagle?” They both nodded. I hugged them both. Kingsley hummed. I asked, “What’s wrong?” Her eyes were purple. Kayda said, “You all must make me stop leaking. It’s a problem. I just leak from all the emotions. Even when I saw my pet after those ROASTABLES had the audacity to say they left her to burn. UGH! As if I chose a weak pet. INSULTING!” Everyone bit their lip. Grandma Veronica actually busted up laughing which made everyone else join. She agreed, “That does sound insulting. We protect those weaker than us. You and Melanie were alone because everyone knows you can handle yourself.” Kayda cooed, “You are lovely non-roastable who did not make me leak.” Everyone busted up laughing again and we headed to the platform for the blood eagle. Hastein and co have disocvered a group that Bjourn will now be looking into for more patterns. Jocelyn laid down the facts of the Angels actions. H and his friends have ways to make their prisoners think they eat eyeballs. Are you even surprised? What else do you think they do? (whispers it's not just one thing). Charles certainly came close to death several times. Do you think he knew? Poor fake Grandpa Joe, he never stood a chance. Kingsley now has time to be with Hastein and his family through Christmas. Her first Blood Eagle is coming up. Do you think it will be one for the record books? Hmmm?
