Leaking Issues Pt. 3

I pushed her at Gabe, “Distract her for the love of god.” He grinned, “Happily.” He slammed his lips on her and she curled into him. Kayda said, “And I’m fine because that doesn’t want to make me leak. So, I just have cracks. I’m not fully broken.” Oh my god.

Hastein kissed me deeply. His dad came over. He said, “So, how are my two news girls liking Thanksgiving?” Kayda sniffled in my head. I teased, “How ya doing?” She screeched, “LEAVE ME ALONE! THEY ALL MAKE ME LEAK!” I bit my lip and Hastein gripped my hip.

Angelique asked me whispering, “Who is he talking to?” I answered, “Us and he can hear you.” She snapped her fingers, “I totally forgot about that.” She put her index finger’s nail on her thumb and pressed down. She was trying not to cry. Kayda said, “I might have to take to that method to deal with all these leakage issues I’m having.”

I quickly grabbed Angelique’s hand. She shot me a look and I kissed the top of her head. I whispered, “I know.” Hastein asked, “Know what? What’s going on?” Bjourn said, “I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.” I replied quickly, “You didn’t.” Astrid came over and took his hand. Angelique played it off, “You just don’t know that I’m not someone you want to claim as your daughter. I’m slightly crazy.”

Kayda snorted, “Oh lord. She made it worse. They are going to say such sentimental s**t now. I cannot keep leaking, Kingsley. Tell her to knock it off.” All their eyes blazed. Bjourn took her hand and mine. He said, “I am beyond proud to call you both my daughters. That isn’t going to change ever. Besides, I think you’ll find crazy in this family is quite the bar. Honestly, at this point I think Aesir is rejecting people that are slightly normal. It’s now boring to us.”

I tried to cover my laugh. Angelique looked widely at me. I said, “He means it.” She fanned her face with her free hand. Kayda shouted, “YES! FINALLY! SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS MY PAIN OF LEAKING!” I asked, “Am I chopped liver?” She snorted, “You cried more than I did about things.” Oh my god.

Gabe whispered, “Angelique?” She cried, “No one ever wanted me before. Now, you do and your dad is…” She trailed off. Bjourn yanked her into a hug. He asked, “Do you know Latin like Kingsley does?” She snorted, “A little, not much.”

He said, “Then I’ll tell you in English. You are my daughter and Astrid’s. We want you in this family and we adore you for the happiness you bring to Gabe’s eyes. His joy has never been so high in the bond since he met you. You are a Cambridge now as is Kingsley.”

Kayda grunted, “Them with their surname business again. They want me to leak. Go find our pet again.” I could hear Melanie was talking to her dad so we were in this conversation. Kayda said, “Quick! Say you have to go to the bathroom.” I argued, “I’m not…” She took over, “We must use the restroom.” She took quick strides away and I knew Hastein was following.

I asked, “What’s your master plan now?” She answered, “Sucking on my steak d**k, of course.” Naturally. I found a bathroom and she let me take back over. Hastein asked, “Kingsley?” I said, “My Dragon is adversely against leaking.” He asked, “Leaking what?” I said, “It’s what she calls crying.” He was trying not to smile and it was adorable.

Kayda took over saying, “I do NOT cry. You all and your sentiments make me leak sometimes from my eyes. Which is NOT crying. Kingsley made me hang around the roastables and I wasn’t aware non-roastables were existing with their sweet words, surnames, and claiming me as their daughter. I DO NOT CRY!”

He replied, “Of course you don’t.” She nuzzled his face. He said, “We all love and accept you for who you are. Leaking and all. I’ve cried so has every member of this family.” She sniffled and pushed me forward. I announced, “She’s leaking again.” He chuckled, “Well, we can’t have that.” He nipped my neck when someone came in.

He sucked on my neck then asked, “Yes.” Wilder jumped up on the counter and Kayda snorted, “He is amusing.” God, she really was gone over on Hastein because normally she’d be all how dare he c**k block, roast him. She screeched at me.

He winked, “So, sis do you know my mate?” I answered, “Uhh no.” Kayda said, “Tell him we can find out! Our pet knows the strongest soul searcher now.” He chuckled, “Well, several family members have been waiting a long time. Maybe point Melanie at them. She’s really good at the whole deal.” I asked, “Who are you talking about? I have to know that to point her at anyone.”

He answered, “Kade.” I asked, “He is Drake and Heather’s son, correct?” He nodded, “Yup.” Hastein sighed, “Wilder, Kade isn’t really looking.” Uh oh. Kayda warned, “Do not say uh oh.” Wilder scoffed, “He should be. He looks sadly at mated pairs and leaves family events so fast my neck hurts watching it.” Hastein frowned, “Kade left?” Wilder nodded, “Like he has since I can remember.” I closed my eyes wondering if that was one of the members with a human mate.

Hastein said, “I’ll look into it.” I jumped in, “I’ll do it.” Kayda huffed, “Yes, solve the non-roastable family members problems. We are helpful! That’s what we are! Non-leaking helpers.” Wilder grinned, “Yeah H, she’s got this. She’s got the hookup with Alexander's mate. She’s on the ground floor.” They shook their heads at each other. Wilder dragged us back and I noted Kade was in fact missing, but he wasn’t the only one. There were more than three of them though so I’d have to do more digging.

Kayda asked, “Why dig? ILYX will know because Melanie does.” I’d make sure they were well protected then because ILYX would know that too. Did the family know of the deep cover up? Or did those with human mates think their god screwed them? That made my heart hurt for them. Kayda warned, “You think about something else because we are DONE leaking.” God.

King Aiden grinned, “Hello.” Hastein tensed. I greeted, “King Aiden.” He laughed, “None of that. Please call my Aiden.” My phone buzzed. I checked it.

Melanie: He probably has…like…way more answers than me for you…about you…plus ya know…books….I should get those….well…you too…but I’d read them faster….but he definitely has some answers.

Hastein huffed over my shoulder and I knew that he’d read that. I said, “Can we speak privately?” He agreed, “Of course.” Hastein signaled everyone else to stay back and took us to his office.

Aiden said, “I don’t think I’ve ever been in your office, Hastein.” Hastein shot back, “You absolutely have not and the only reason you are here now is for her.” Aiden simply nodded to him. I asked, “Can you tell me things about me?” Aiden's smile softened, “Of course I can.”

I asked, “Do you know what a sparm is?” He nodded, “I do and I’m sorry one that they probably didn’t understand was used on you.” Hastein asked, “What does that mean?” He said, “Their Draconian Sorcerer and Sorceress are descendants of the Fae. They’ve been shut off from us so long there is no way they know the ramifications of a spell. Just as my sister knows what’s in a book, and not something that’s in the knowledge passed down.”

He grinned adding, “For example, those books you have here about disrespect. By chance did you have an uptick in natural causes deaths until you explained the levels of disrespect that deserve death?” I bit my lip. Kayda shouted, “PLEASE ANSWER!”

I cleared my head, “They did.” They both turned to me and I winked. Aiden grinned, “How fascinating.” Melanie’s files had told me all the people Haley killed. Kayda purred, “Our little Fairy is impressive and would totally make sure my roasting chair is fireproof.” Definitely.

Hastein asked, “And do you happen to have proof of that?” I jolted, “Wait, what?”

Hastein said, “My dad, Uncle’s, and Grandpa have no idea my Aunt killed those people. In fact, we searched and there was never proof.” I thought over the files I read. I said, “Umm yes there is.” Aiden laughed, “What does Melanie have?” I said, “Animals that don’t live here killed people.” Aiden threw his head back and laughed.

Hastein said, “That’s not proof. They could’ve gone through a portal.” I said, “No, there’s actual proof in the file I read. It was her. I actually thought it was in your files, not just Melanie’s.” Hastein groaned, “How did she do that? She wasn’t even born when that went down!” I laughed, “It’s Melanie.” Aiden chuckled, “Anyway, I’m sure whatever was done they had no idea it would do what it did.”

I admitted, “I have no memories of my time on earth I was running around. I don’t know my last name.” He jumped in, “Fafner.” I gasped and my hand flew to my mouth. Hastein wrapped me in his arms. He said, “You’d better be positive.” Aiden replied, “I am absolutely confident. The Fafner’s have ruled the Dragon realm forever.”

I asked, “Kayda?” She said, “That name moves me, but I just don’t know.” Aiden sighed, “Your Dragon also lost her memories then.” I nodded, “Yes.” He made an annoyed face. He said, “Please know, whoever did this likely did not know that would happen. Your Dragon should've known things. I am sorry I never found you. I would’ve kept you in Faerie.” Hastein practically growled. Kayda purred, “Hot.” Aiden said, “I’d have her here as well. We’d have rotated her back and forth because I am aware your people can keep a secret. Plus, Dragon’s would fit quite well with the Hackura.”

He muttered, “We noticed.” He chuckled, “Yes, they are probably the most similar realm to yours.” I asked, “Can you reach out to my family?” He admitted, “I have been since I took over as King, but I never hear back. If you’re asking if I’d tell them I’d met you the answer is no. It would put you in danger and I won’t do that. It would upset my sister and Bjourn is a begrudging friend of mine. Besides, you are closely ingrained with my nephew’s mate. She’d probably throw herself into the literal line of Dragon fire to save you.”

He added, “I can get materials to your mate here for you to learn about yourself. I have several starting materials in mind knowing you don’t have your memories nor does your Dragon. The basics would probably be nice.” I admitted, “That would be great.” He said, “We will help you, Princess Kingsley Fafner.”

I said, “Cambridge. They took my surname from me, and H gave that back to me.” He said, “I know that means a great deal to you.” I snorted, “I don’t.” He said, “Last names in the Dragon realm come with power and hair colors. The Draconian sorceress have multiple colors to their hair.” Kenna was one then.

He said, “Purple is a Princess. Blue denotes the Queen, their color is the only one who can change based on mating. Last names are quite powerful in your realm and I’m sorry that was taken from you along with your Thunder. You’re doing better than I would’ve suspected any Dragon would do. I would imagine you were in grave danger for them to send you to the human realm.” Hastein gripped me tighter.

Aiden said, “We will work on that together. Your dad is already working on a plan. I will happily add to it knowing that she’s a Dragon when he doesn’t.” I snorted, “That makes you very happy.” He grinned, “It really does.”

We joined the group again and I was somewhat in a daze until Melanie joined us. Melanie instantly jumped in, “So, A…how was your first family Thanksgiving?” It was exactly what I needed to break the tension from that meeting.

Angelique answered, “There was a whole dinner where no one tried to kill me. It was nice and also unsettling. I think this is called relaxing. It’s strange. I feel endorphins just pinging all around my brain.” Kayda screeched, “I will ROAST her family.” Thank god. My Dragon was back to normal because she’d been far too quiet.

Melanie turned to me, “K?” I sincerely told her, “Thank you for telling Hastein to push me. There’s just a sense of belonging here after a long time of wandering and not feeling like I belonged or fit in. Of feeling that loneliness inside me. I still miss them, but it feels a lot better today.”

Kayda chimed in, “Excuse me?! They can get f****d and NOT in the fun way we will later. They used a sparm not knowing what it would do.” They might not know that. She screeched in annoyance. Melanie brought us back to the conversation, “I know exactly what you mean.” Kayda calmed down. I reached for her hand and squeezed it saying, “I know you do.” Angelique offered, “Me three.” We all held hands for a brief moment then let go. It was a quick but meaningful moment to us all.

Her Xander joined us and we all talked. I laid my head on Hastein’s shoulder until the party broke up. Hastein led me to his wing. He asked, “So, was Angelique serious about her dinner comment?”

I thought about it then clarified, “The dinner where no one tried to kill her?” He nodded. I snorted, “She was one thousand percent serious.” His eyes blazed, “People tried to kill her that much?” I said, “I mean once a week would be low balling it.” Kayda purred, “He’s so hot, all wound up.”

I paused, “They can’t get in here, right?” He scoffed, “Bounty hunters? No and they’d be fools to try.” I held up my hand and pulled out my phone, calling Luca. He answered out of breath, “Oh my god, K. You’re calling Is the sky falling? What bad thing has happened?” He made a hissing noise, “I’m telling you Maddox, something HORRIBLE has happened. K not only has her phone on her, but she’s also calling.”

I said, “As the Falconer, I need you to make sure no one mentions bounty hunters with my friend Angelique here.” He groaned, “I don’t like bounty hunters.” I admitted, “I know, which is why you’ll keep the best ear out.” Maddox grunted, “Why the f**k would you not like bounty hunters.” I said, “Enjoy that f**k fest, Luca.” He snorted and I hung up.

Hastein asked, “What the f**k?! Is a bounty hunter after Luca?! His family thought he was dead.” I said, “They don’t know his name, but there are certain groups after the shifter with the Yule Cats.” His eyes blazed, “They won’t touch him, I swear that to you.” I tapped his nose, “I know.” He ground into me, “How was your first thanksgiving.” I grinned knowing exactly how to get Kayda back to sorts. I said, “Gobble, Gobble.” and dropped to my knees. I’d get my Dragon back to normal god damn it.

Gobble gobble! This chapter ALMOST lined up perfectly LOL it's the season of thanksgiving though so I'm counting it! I plan to get a chapter our next week. I'm not sure if that will be on Thanksgiving (our usual day or not) if I'm not going to manage it at all I'll be in the comments letting you know.

Now - THE LEAKING! Poor Kayda. She just wants to stop leaking. New names! JJ!!!!! Jeremiah didn't go crazy! WHO DID IT? Valdoma is invovled WHAT HAPPENED TO MAGNUS AND HIS FAMILY?!?! *whispers I know ;) * Do you think Harriah and John are long for this world? Ormr is calling to Kingsley. Being in that room won't be easy for her or Kayda. She's very much on the I am a Queen I do what I want kick. MORE MEMORIES SURFACE! She was flying with her family.

H doesn't care if the world falls down around them, it will happen with K by his side. He's not leaving. She has her comfort blanket and Melanie noticed which means H now knows. The charm means a Fairy was invovled. Which one do you think it was? Cassie, Haley, and Angela seem the most likely suspects but was it someone else? Don't you bet Hastein orders Gunner to find that mention of the people in the files who sent those to their friendsgiving? Wanna bet anyone who remotely was related to it has a bad day? Or did Melanie get them all?

ANGELIQUE!!!!!!!! SHE IS HERE! Bjourn is making Kayda leak more and now H knows the problem LOL What's up with Kade Cambridge? Do you think K's gut instinct is right? Does he have a human mate he's hiding? Or is something else going on with him? Aiden has come in with answers. Maddox is riled up and ready to go on people who are upset with Luca. Luca is on his first official look out on the realm. Exciting times :)
