Trusting Him Pt.2

She sneered, “Not if it’s not reported.” Kayda shouted, “Let me EAT HER!” I replied, “Deaths are reported though. If you have enough, then the Vampire council will send a representative. The culture you are breeding around here will bring them down here. I was under the impression from my contract that it was not what was wanted. I was merely helping the Vampires wish to be under the radar. I find it odd you seem intent on bringing down the authorities here by keeping humans injured when they can die quite easily comparatively.” Everyone actually gasped. Tory said, “And that’s why I hired you, Karlee.” I turned and inclined my head showing him respect. He glared at Harriah saying, “My employees show their character and the ability to adhere to our guidelines. We fly under the radar here. Why the hell do you think you’re in charge?” She blinked and everyone seemed ready for her downfall. Her Vampire said, “I’ll hand this, Troy.” Troy commented, “See that you do or I will.” Kayda huffed, “Uhh no, this b***h speaks to us EVER again and I will ROAST her.” I’d be shocked if she did at this point. She’d just plot my demise in secret. Kayda scoffed, “In secret. Please, mate saw her. She’s probably already got Hackura on her ass. If she plots she’ll get taken off the street then I will scent her in his realm and ROAST her.” Harriah was taken out by her Vampire and everyone was silent. Troy said, “Thank you for making sure we stay off the radar, Karlee. We clearly need a better pulse on what’s going on here. I’ll be going over numbers with the King to see if we are covered. I appreciate you making sure things were done as per the contract I hired you on.” He told the room, “Learn from Karlee. We are rougher than most states, but we aren’t here to let you die. You all are lucky the bartender gave her blood and Karlee had him report it. We are not to be rough with humans to the point they could get internal injuries and die.” He turned to walk away muttering, “Bunch of morons. I can’t believe in my absence a human b***h has turned into the Queen bee bully of the pets. God f*****g damn it.” I intentionally made myself not smile. Kayda said, “Now, if I could just be there when he kills a bunch of people for it I would like him more.” She liked him best as far as the Vampires we knew because he was more likely to kill. Kayda sighed, “It’s such an admirable quality.” Tamar said, “Girl, let’s get you a drink asap.” We went to the bar and I had a few more drinks to where I was feeling pretty good. A man came up. He warned, “You made enemies tonight.” Kayda scoffed, “Roast him.” I asked, “And you are?” He answered, “John.” I laughed, “Of course it is.” He glared at me and I flipped him off. He stalked away to his group to glare at me which I ignored because Kayda wanted to kill them. I heard a lot of people talking about how much they wanted Melanie back. Kayda scoffed, “They bring our pet here and we roast the building down.” I could get on board with that. Eventually when Troy came back out we walked outside with Moses and Tamar. Troy whistled and flashed to my car. He asked, “Who owns this? I must buy it.” I hummed and waved the keys. He gasped, “Seriously, K?” I winked, “Go ahead and joyride with Moses. I’m going to jog home.” He was barely looking at me. Moses ordered someone to follow me and make sure I got there safely. Kayda scoffed, “How unnecessary.” I reasoned, “It’s nice.” She argued, “Insulting.” Jesus Christ she was in a mood. I took off running, letting my mind run. Melanie would be in danger if they ever got her. They did not have nice things to say about her. Kayda screeched angrily in my head. I made it to my place with no incidents and unlocked the door. I barely had the door shut when Hastein blocked me into the door. He whispered, “You pleasured yourself on the camera’s.” I whispered, “I did. Are you going to punish me?” Kayda purred, “Please god, say yes.” He didn’t answer, his hand came down on my ass. When the hell did he make sure my clothes were revealing my bare ass? I don’t have any idea. Kayda asked, “Who cares?” He pinched my n****e and spanked me again. I moaned, “H.” He huskily whispered in my ear, “That’s right, say my name.” He alternated between my n*****s as he spanked me. Then his finger found my c**t. I put my forehead on the door as my legs started to shake. He nipped my ear, “Come for me, Cupcake.” I screamed, “Hastein!” He slammed into me from behind and my body molded into his. He slammed into me and said, “I love the way your t**s bounce.” He pinched my n****e. He moaned, “f*****g perfect nipples.” He pulled almost all the way out then slammed back in. He shouted, “You’re f*****g mine.” Kayda purred and all but rolled over in my head. We both came and slid out of me, leaving me feeling like something was missing. He threw me over his shoulder like a caveman. Kayda purred, “Sexy caveman.” I nipped at his butt cheek. He grunted and smacked my ass again then threw me down onto the bed. He grabbed a blindfold and tied me up. Kayda chuckled, “Kinky. I like it.” She knew I did too. I heard a chair moving and heard him sit down. He grunted and I knew without looking that he was gripping his own d**k. I panted and heard his dark chuckle. He asked, “Do you know how amazing you look with your dripping p***y full of your own juices and my c*m spilling out? I have these urges I’ve never had before. I know it wouldn’t get you pregnant but I want to scoop up all the semen and shove it back inside you.” I moaned, “Please.” He chuckled and then I felt his touch on my thigh. He asked, “You want all this back in you?” I answered, “Yes.” He asked, “Yes, who?” I grinned saying, “Yes, big boy.” He grunted, “f**k. Not even what I was going for, but you have me wrapped around your perfect finger.” His finger slid back inside me and his mouth sucked on my fingers. That had no business being this hot. He pulled his finger out and slid down my body to blow on my c**t. I jerked and gasped. He chuckled and I felt his featherlike fingers trail from my ankle to my neck. They traced my mark. He said, “I had no idea the urges that would make me feel. Seeing my mark on you is something I never expected. I’d heard mated people talk about it, but it makes me want to beat my chest and f**k you into oblivion.” Kayda purred, “Yes, please.” He chuckled darkly again, “I can smell how much you want that. Plus, your legs dropped open. It’s such an inviting canvas.” Without warning he sucked on my c**t and his tongue went to work. I nearly ripped the restraints out, but Melanie would’ve used stronger stuff which is why I didn’t break the bed. My hips jerked in motion with him on their own accord. I was screaming so much I knew I was lucky this place was soundproofed. By the time he slid back inside me a few tears of happiness slipped out. He stilled, “s**t. Are you ok?” I answered, “If you don’t move…” He slammed into me. I cried, “God, yes.” He grunted, “Not god.” I teased, “Sorry, big boy.” He chuckled, “Not yet, but you will be.” He slammed into me again and brought me near an orgasm before he disappeared. I whined. Kayda shouted, “Don’t whine!” I ignored her. I felt his lips on my n****e then a clamp on my other. He alternated between the two before I nearly came again then he vanished. UGH! Kayda purred, “I love it.” Masochist. She mocked, “You like it too.” Damn her. I felt a feather on me. I arched up again and shivered. I’d learned a while ago that for some reason feathers were very sensual for me and Kayda. She was already purring in my head. Hastein asked, “Do you like that, Cupcake?” I moaned, “Yes.” He traced it over my body and I knew he was prepared for what was about to happen. I was so close as he trailed it over my n*****s. The second it touched my c**t I was screaming my orgasm. He didn’t let his surprise stop him, if he was. He slammed right back into me and untied my arms. He ordered, “Keep the blindfold on.” Kayda commented, “Give him whatever he wants. Maybe he’ll use the feather again.” He took us into a seated position and I bounced around on him like my life depended on it. I wasn’t surprised since feathers also made me horny as f**k. He sucked my n****e into his mouth then I felt the feather on my back. I gripped his neck harder and screamed out another orgasm. He’d definitely been testing a theory because now the feather was on my mark. He grunted, “f**k, you’re squeezing me so tight.” He came inside me and moved the feather which had me seeing stars and orgasming again. He used that damn feather repeatedly all night into the morning. I was more than content to stay in his arms forever. He asked, “So feathers?” I murmured, “Yeah, I don’t know what’s up with that really, it’s just something I really enjoy.” He chuckled, “Duly noted.” I teased, “With great power comes great responsibility.” He took off the blindfold and winked, “I’ll use it wisely.” Kayda purred, “He can do whatever he wants.” She was such a softie these days. She muttered, “Whatever.” Not even a screech. He kissed my neck, “Did you meet King Aiden’s source?” I asked, “Chariah? Yeah.” He hummed, “And who is Chariah?” I laughed, “Well, I’m pretty sure she’s his source. She’s got in good with third in command. She’s a pet now delivering welcome gifts for the King.” He admitted, “Aiden would be smart enough for that.” I told him, “Yes, Melanie thinks your prejudice with him for what happened to your Aunt keeps you from acknowledging how smart he is.” He was silent for several moments then admitted, “That’s probably true.” I tapped his nose, “Which is why it’s good you’re mated to me. I have no qualms or prejudices with him.” Plus, I knew from Melanie he’d reached out to Dragons to no avail. She’d kept track of that for me in case they did answer him. I clarified, “So, you’re not sure Chairah works for Aiden.” He said, “I know he has a source, your belief is enough for me. Why? Does the Resistance leader need more?” Kayda cackled in my head. I answered, “Yes. The Resistance Leader is HELL on proof.” His gaze narrowed and I watched the suspicion flicker on his face. He hummed, “I see. Cayden commented once or twice that Ashley was that way.” I asked, “Is your cousin over not knowing her real name?” He easily saw my deflection but answered, “No. He feels he failed her and it weighs heavy on him.” I admitted, “I know the feelings. As I said to him, I was more in the inner circle than he was but I had no idea what she was truly suffering.” Kayda screeched in my mind and part of it slipped out. Hastein raised an eyebrow. I admitted, “Kayda doesn’t like that we didn’t know. We would’ve ended them all and Melanie knew that.” He told me, “Paige and Corbin, my cousin…” I interrupted, “I know who Corbin is. Personally, Kayda can’t wait to meet Maximus. She thinks of all your cousins he’s on the level of kill always.” Hastein threw his head back and laughed. He asked, “The Resistance files say Maximus is the most ready to kill?” I answered, “No, Melanie’s personal files of when she went out to protect Maximus and have his back show a stark contrast in his dealings versus the rest of you.” Hastein winked, “He’s sent on those missions for a reason.” Kayda said, “And he will still be on the one on my level. Mate will give me my roasting chair and I could let the partial Demon/Hackura hybrid use it. THINK of our team levels with FIRE.” Jesus Christ. He asked, “How often did Melanie protect my cousins?” I answered, “All the time. Corbin was a challenge because a lot of people tried to kill him.” His eyes blazed. I added, “But a lot of people try to kill you guys and you go out a lot. She always had someone there if a mission was dangerous enough.” He grumbled, “That’s going to be a headache to figure out where she’s in our system at.” I teased, “Is Gunner not working on that?” He answered, “I’m sure he has a program set up running, but we have a lot going on. It’s not a top priority.” I assured him, “Anything to do with your family was always a top priority to Melanie. No one multitasks better.” He asked, “Did you protect my family?” I admitted, “Yes. I knew who Brenton and Caius were before I read their files because I protected them the most.” His lips met mine again and he sank inside me. He kept me completely occupied until I had to go to work. Harriah was thankfully absent. My days fell into a routine. I spent all my time at my place or with Hastein. I hung out with Tamar and Josey when I wasn’t with Hastein. Troy and Moses agreed to share the car, but Troy was having a custom one made for himself. Which I knew because I called in the order for it. ILYX was storing information for me and had Chariah as a ninety-nine point nine percent chance of being Aiden’s source. Melanie’s literal inability to allow things to be one hundred percent was hilarious. Harriah left me alone but her posse was not happy with me. John had tried to get me in trouble multiple times and had been slapped by a Vampire or five for it. Kayda snarled, “He’s on my list.” Yeah, he was. I needed to meet with Melanie though and catch up. I also wanted to check on her. I knew it was overwhelming to get everything you wanted and she struggled with change she didn’t predict. Kayda agreed, “I am worried about her.” I checked my phone and was shocked to find a voicemail from Hastein. I listened to it, “Hey Cupcake, I already miss you and wanted to tell you that.” Kayda said, “That’s adorable. Never tell anyone I said that.” I snorted, “Who would I tell?” She said, “I don't know but you take it TO THE GRAVE.” I snorted, “Alright.” Hastein’s voice drew me back to his message. He said, “If you get a spare second, call me.” I instantly called him back. He answered, “Hello, Cupcake.” I giggled, “Hi.” Jesus Christ he made me giggle. Kayda snarked, “Yeah, see? It’s not just me. I’m taking you down with me.” I rolled my eyes. I asked, “How is your day?” He answered, “It’s fine. My cousin is putting together a dance.” I questioned, “Which one?” He answered, “Alexander.” I gasped, “For Melanie? Like a school dance?” He answered, “Yes to both questions.” Kayda sniffled. She immediately said, “Don’t give me any s**t right now! Meeting mate turned me into a blubbering machine! You know how much that will mean to our pet. I’m so happy for her.” I was too so I gave my Dragon a pass. I told him, “That will mean a lot to her.” He asked, “Have you had any more memories?” He knew how pissed off I was that I hadn’t but I’d told him I was taking a nap today. It was sweet that he remembered that. I admitted, “No, but I’m about to grab my nap now.” He groaned, “If I wasn’t about to head into a case hearing I’d come be there with you.” I assured him, “It’s not a problem. Where is the dance?” He answered, “Red Run. Why are we crashing?” I laughed, “Are you coming?” He answered, “If you are.” I admitted, “Yup. I’ll be there. I need to talk to Mel and I’m off tonight.” He said, “See you at the dance then.” We hung up and I crawled into bed. I quickly texted Melanie. Me: I need to see you. I’ll come to you. I know where you’ll be ;) I have the inside track now. I also know it’s a surprise and I won’t tell you what it is. Mel: Ok…I guess…I’ll see you there. Let me know when you’re…wherever we are going…and I’ll find you. Me: Will do and have fun. You deserve things like this. Mel: You could tell me what this is….but sure. Thanks..I guess? Me: I won’t ruin the surprise. Your Xander planned this for you. I’m just happy he’s the guy you always said he was. Mel: I’m happy when you get married we will be related. Me: Like we were meant to be. Kayda asked, “Are we going to show mate what we are soon?” I answered, “Yup. We just need to have him show us somewhere in his realm where we can’t be spotted. We really can’t get on the radar of the Supernatural Council and if a Hackura was in the human realm and mentioned seeing a Dragon…” I trailed off because getting caught and bringing that Draco dude back here still made me shiver for some reason. I shoved all that from my mind and fell asleep. I woke up watching a toddler version of myself stumble. Eragon caught me, “Be careful, little K.” I squealed, “ERAGON!” He grinned at me and called, “Ember.” A man came out from behind a tree. I squealed, “EM EM!” Eragon laughed, “I know you can say Ember, little Kingsley. I think you like driving your guard crazy.” Ember smiled at me. Zafira said, “I know she does.” I screamed, “ZAF!” She chuckled, “You need to start getting ready and you’re all muddy.” I pouted, “I hate the dresses mommy picks. They are poofy.” Eragon waved a package, “I wonder if that’s why I got this.” I squealed and he handed it to me. He shifted into his Dragon and I climbed on. He flew back with Zafira beside him. He landed on my deck. Zafira shifted back, “Into the bath, you.” I ran into my bathroom and got into the bathtub that was all ready. I scrubbed myself then got out. I brushed my hair and braided it before I walked out and found the dress. It was a slimmer fit than the poofy ones and went from black to purple. I squealed and put it on. I found my siblings in the hall. I was having to job to keep up with little me. I watched as she threw herself into Eragon’s arms. I whispered, “I love it. You’re the bestest brother ever.” He laughed, “I’m your other brother.” I boldly declared, “But you’re better than all the brothers.” Tears sprung into my eyes. The door swung open and I heard someone declare, “The Crown Prince Eragon, Princess Zafira, and Princess Kingsley have arrived.” I scurried after them hoping for a glimpse at my parents, but instead a blaring alarm had me jolting up. I clutched my chest. Kayda said, “So I really am Royalty like our pet thought. I AM A PRINCESS TURNED QUEEN. Do you know what that means, K?” I groaned, “Something about roasting people.” She retorted, “You know that’s right.” Jeez. I glanced at the time and knew I needed to move. I wasn’t going to go into the dance so I just put on a somewhat sexy black top that faded into purple along with yoga pants. Nope, I was not mirroring this after a dress my brother bought me at all. That’s not a thing that I was doing. Kayda scoffed, “Who are you fooling right now?” I answered, “Apparently no one.” I whispered, “Where are they?” She admitted, “They live.” But were they trapped? Why was I alone? I shook myself and hustled to the corner of my apartment. Melanie had Paige set up holoports in apartments that brought them to her headquarters in Nashville. I walked through it then went through the one on Blue Moon’s border. I jogged to the school and made my way in through the back door easily. I walked the halls Melanie had described. I found the science room because she’d spent a lot of time here. I looked around and went to text her when she walked in. I snorted, “Why was I going to bother to text you?” She answered, “I don’t know…there is now a mischievous little fairy involved in our affairs. She happens to be related to both of our mates…things tend to be more fun with fairies around.” Kayda said, “I know which one!” I replied, “So do I.” She grumbled, “Killjoy.” I teased, “That’s usually my job with you since you want to kill everyone.” She sighed, “One would think you’d rise above killing my job.” I knew she was teasing but somewhat serious. She’d eat everyone if I let her. I said to Melanie, “That would be Angela Conners then.” She nodded, “I’m betting she’ll come to meet you.” I quickly said, “I’ll make this fast then. Not that it’s surprising, but the King of Missouri is a bad guy. I’m pretty sure Booker McCann is there and I’ll be finding him.” Kayda scoffed, “We haven’t yet.” Because he was on house arrest and they hadn’t thrown a dang party. She shrugged saying, “Punch him for me.” I knew if I told her I found him she’d come and get him. Kayda argued, “Maybe not but her Xander sure would.” That was true. Melanie might sit on the information then use it at an opportune moment. I assured her, “Naturally. I think the King of Faerie has a partial demon there as a pet.” She confirmed, “He does have someone there as a pet. I don’t know who it is though.” I replied, “I do. He seems to know we are on the same team.” She nodded, “That fits with what Aiden said.” I continued, “As far as what I’ve found about the vampires, I haven’t seen him but there are rumors there’s a very old vampire there with his child and his child’s mate. They are somewhat of a trio. The rumors are one of them can compel any supernatural being. They claim they can even compel Fairies, but we know that’s bullshit. Rumors and gossip have expanded their abilities. I’m still digging. You are a popular topic there.” Kayda screeched in anger.
