Paige The life vest dug into my shoulders and along the inside of my thighs. I tugged on the straps to try and loosen them as we walked out toward the pier. True to Hermes' words, the sky was now a beautiful bright blue. The storm clouds were far on the horizon and drifting further away fast. The breeze brought the scent of saltwater and a hint of fish cooking making my stomach rumble. God, I was hungry. "Four spots here," a chubby older man waved us to one of the boats. "Come on, Paige," Emily called over her shoulder. "We can all ride together." Hermes helped me board the small speedboat. And we sat across from Emily and Daniel.
