I scratched Poseidon's arms to get him to let go of me. "Dion!" I screamed watching him fade from view as we sailed through the sky. Power pulsed in my veins making me feel...like a goddamn goddess...shit, had he given me his godhood somehow? But I didn't want any of this if it meant leaving him behind. Plus, I had zero ideas how to use it.
"Let him go, Paige, this is his choice." Poseidon tightened his hold on me.
Flying on the air beside us was Hermes. The pity and sorrow in his gaze slammed into me. This was wrong. We should be bringing Dion with us not leaving him to rot in the Underworld.
My heart felt as if it was being crushed into a million pieces. I couldn't breathe without feeling like shards of glass piercing my lungs.
"No," I sobbed. "We can't leave him there."
