The man lead us to his living room and gestured us to sit down.
“I’m Theo Lightwood and my friend here is Cameron Wick, I’ve been working on a private investigation with my people regarding the child snatching case.” I formally introduced myself and Cam.
“I’m guessing you read about the male that I witnessed?” The man sighed as he rubs his eyes.
“My name is Arnold, I told the police everything and showed them a picture of the snatcher, they said that they’re on it but I doubt they’re going to crack the case this quick given that it’s mainly involved with wolves.” He explained.
“May we see the photo of the snatcher?” I asked him.
He nodded and searched for the picture on his phone, when he found it he handed me the phone and I looked at the picture with Cameron: it was a photo of a man dressed in black, he didn’t have a mask on and even though it was dark, you could see his face. I took a good few minutes to analyse the picture before handing Arnold’s phone back to him.
“Do you have any children, Arnold?” I asked him.
“I do, I have a fifteen year old son” He answered as took a swig of his water.
“Where is he now?”
“He’s at his nanas’, he goes there every Wednesday and Saturday.”
“I’d advise you to make sure that you’re with your son between 4pm and 11pm every single night, if he ever goes out that is. It appears that children get taken during tea time as that’s when they return to their homes after playing out etc. I’d spread the word to all your friends and neighbours too.”
He nods at me, “I will keep that in mind, thank you.”
“Like you said, the police might not do much but I promise you that me and my people will get to the bottom of this devastating case. Thank you for your time.” I smiled and we all stood up, since there was nothing left for us to talk about Arnold had led us back to the door.
“A friend had told me that children across the entire state has been taken. So I suggest that you try looking into closer towns too.” There was urgency in his expression.
I nod at him, “Thank you for the tip.”
I then gave him a card, “Please call us if you see anything else or have any more information to give to us.”
He took the card and nodded, “Of course, good luck and catch the b*st*rds.” He snarled.
I nodded at him, Cam and I headed back for the car and Arnold slammed his door shut.
“Did you get a good look at the picture?” I asked him.
He nodded, “So did I.” I snarled.
“The sooner we get to the bottom of this, the better.” He sighed.
“Agreed. Wesley, drive to the mall before we head off home please.” I urged him.
He nods and drives off.
“Why are we going to the mall?” Cam asks me, arching a brow.
I flashed my canines at him, “I’m going to buy Lexi a gift.”
I then sighed and looked out of the window, “Valentines is coming up soon and she’s becoming a huge part of me; I want to show her my appreciation towards her. She deserves to feel special and wanted, she’s naughty that’s for sure and it really turns me on as well as irritate me.”
I then turn to him, “But she has the purest soul I’ve ever seen; I just can’t resist, have you seen how angelic her face is?” I whine at him.
He laughs softly at me, “I have, honestly I think that it’s really sweet of you to think of buying her a gift.”
He then looks down, “I hope I find someone like her.”
My heart bleeds for him, “I promise you will.” I squeezed his shoulder and he smiles at me.
“I’ve got a confession to make, I have a crush on Lexi.”
I laughed at his facial expression, “I don’t blame you, mate. Besides I already know, your eyes flicker whenever we talk about her.”
He held his hands up, “I won’t make a move on her, Man.”
I continued to laugh at him, “Don’t worry, Cam, you’re safe.”
We continued to talk and laugh during the rest of the car ride, it took us half an hour to get to the mall.

In the last few days I’ve been watching my brother bond with Lexi, it’s been entertaining that’s for sure but it’s getting so hot between them. She’s just come on her heating period, I can tell she has because in the last twenty hours her arousal aura has been growing.
She’s getting more daring with Theo and hasn’t even hesitated with letting him touch her, it’s not good though because she’s going to try and go all the way with him and knowing my brother, he won’t let it happen just yet.
I was sat in the kitchen, watching my brother and his mate; she was tormenting him and you could tell that his hunger for her was immense and wanted to discipline her. Their electricity energies are like haywire.
Theo had told her to go to college and displayed kinky affection, I rolled my eyes at him. She had turned around to wink at him before disappearing and he had groaned as he instantly missed her. There was a few moments of banter before Theo turned serious, he then stood up and left the room on a huff. Cameron followed him so it was just me, Cane, Aaron and Owen in the kitchen.
Cane inhales, “Boy, I don’t know if I can keep up with them.”
I rolled my eyes and the boys snicker, “I wish he would mark her already.”
I then grinned, “It is cute though, he’s never been like this before.”
“Yeah, I think he’d be lost without her.” Cane smirked.
I sat playing with my nails and looked at them, they were chipping away so I decided to make an appointment to the nail salon. While the boys were sat giggling at each other I felt a pair of eyes on me, I peeked over at Owen and he was staring at me. He cleared his throat and looked away, I smirked as his face went red.
I felt a tug towards him and felt that he felt the same thing, we must be having a calling. I scrutinised his face and it was beautiful: he had blue-green eyes and beautiful long lashes, his face was covered in light freckles and had the perfect jawline. He had a good sense of style too and not to mention he smelt yummy.
The more I checked Owen out, the more I find myself feeling slightly aroused; he must have felt it because his mouth turned into a smirk. I reached into my inner wolf and she was wagging her tail while panting mildly, she whines a little and nudges her head as if to show approval of him.
Some girls are reluctant to listen to their calling, but me? I’m not stupid enough to ignore my calling, especially when it’s rare for my kind. I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if the moon calls us together, he’s f*****g gorgeous!
I looked over at Cane and Aaron, they were gawping at me, “What?” I hissed and they snickered.
“You know what, you and Owen are checking each other out.” Canes’ voice was dripped with sarcasm.
That’s the thing with wolves, our emotions and feelings have no privacy. We can all tell what we are feeling without even saying anything, it’s quite annoying really.
I huff at him before turning to Owen, “Wanna take a walk?” I winked at him, he took my hand and we exited the kitchen as Cane and Aaron wolf whistle.

The mall was quite packed, sales were on since it’s almost valentines. I was stood in a jewellery shop with Cameron and Wesley, we were looking at necklaces. I scanned across the cabinets and saw a beautiful set: silver-chained with a ruby-red-heart pendent and glittery-diamonds coated around the pendant. Along with the necklace was a pair of earrings that was exactly the same as the necklace, to finalise the set there was a silver-chained bracelet with tiny heart pendants linked across the chain.
I was stood holding the necklace and Cam stopped besides me to pick up the bracelet, he caught my staring at the beautiful set.
“Sh*t, this set is perfect.”
I turned to look at him and he zoomed his eyes on the price then his eyes fell wide open.
“Dang, it’s $999,999” Wesley was peeking at the set and his face flew wide just like Cams’ did.
I laughed at their faces, “I’m going to buy it.”
“Yo, you’re crazy.” Cam snickered at me.
Wesley chimed in, “I think it’s lovely, if you can afford it, why not?”
I beamed at them and turned to the woman standing at the til.
“I’d like to buy this beautiful set, Ma’am.” I gleefully barked at her and she smiled.
“This ruby-red-heart-pendant set is on high demand, Sir, that’s why it’s very expensive.” She gleams at me.
I chuckle at her, “I’m not worried about the price, Miss.”
She goes shy as she folds a strand of hair behind her ear, “This lady that you’re buying the set for, she must be special enough for you to splash all that money on her.”
A draw my wallet out of my jeans pocket while grinning wildly, “Money is worthless compared to my girl, she deserves everything I give to her.”
“She’s lucky to have such a handsome man like yourself devoting himself to her.”
She winks at me and I feel Camerons’ and Wesleys’ brows c*ck at our friendliness, I rap my finger on the glass as the lady boxes the set up.
I turned to them but directed my speech at the lady, “I’m the lucky one.” Then turned back to her and she smiles at me.
I clear my throat as she asks for my ID, “May I see some ID, Sir? It’s just a precaution because the purchase is such a high figure.”
“Of course.” I whipped out my ID card and her face widens, I chuckle at her knowing that she’s seen that my ID card shows my royalty status.
“Oh, my God, you’re royalty. Why didn’t you say so?” She squealed at me and we all chuckle at her glee.
She was human so she couldn’t tell that we’re wolves, especially me being royalty. She punches numbers through on the til and swipes a card, it then makes a approval sound and she turns to look at me.
“Because you’re royalty you get to pay half price, so it’s just $499,999 please.”
I lifted my hand at her, “Please, you didn’t have to do that. I’m willing to pay full price.”
She softly chuckles at me, “Please allow me, I insist. Plus you should know that it’s every retail stores policy to give royalty half price.”
She did have a point to be fair, this is a human retail shopping centre but the government approved a policy to allow all royalty wolves to pay half price given that we hold a lot of honour and power. I mean, we have enough money so you’d think we could afford anything, right?
Which is why I insisted on paying full price but the look of the lady’s face felt like she needed to give me a discount.
I sighed then nod at her, “Thank you, Ma’am, I appreciate it.” I wrote her a cheque and she booked it while handing me the pendant set.
“Have a good day, Your Highness, gentlemen.” She gestures to Cam and Wesley and we said goodbye as we left the store.
We walked around the mall for a bit and we sat down at a bubble tea bar, it was quiet for a bit and we just sat having some rest. I had dragged both Cam and Wes into nearly every shop, looking for things to buy for Lexi.
Cam had protested that I buy anything else for her since I already spent half a million dollars on her but I insisted, I found a really nice valentines card with some luscious-divine chocolates and the biggest light-grey-stuffed-teddy-bear you could ever have, it was originally $99 but using my ID card I got it for $49.99.
I then had found some yummy perfume in Superdrug, rose flavoured with a hint of blackberry, I tried other ones but this one was my favourite; I bought the perfume with a few beauty cosmetics, it all came to $60 but I got it for $30.
“Dude, I can’t believe how much money you spent on Lexi today, even with discounts.” Cam muttered as he slurped his bubble tea.
“I’m going to bring her here next time I decide to come here, I think she’ll love bubble tea.” I casually ignore Cams’ comment.
He rolls his eyes at me then chuckles, “Yeah, she’s a real princess.” He mocked.
I narrowed my eyes at him and he sat back in his seat, flicking his straw about. After a few minutes later we set off back home and I stashed all the bags in the boot.

I took Owen to the back garden and we perched down on a swing, next to a little pond. Birds were singing and it was a sunny day, but I looked up at the sky and it looked like it was going to go gloomy and rain.
I peeked over at Owen and he was admiring me, I c*cked a smile. I heard his heart thump and sweat was vaporising on his forehead. Things were silent for a while and he looked a tad awkward, I rubbed my thumb across his bottom lip and he shivered at my touch.
I grinned at him as I moved in slowly, his breathing was ragged and he was staring at my lips.
“Well, ain’t this interesting?” I seductively murmured as my mouth was close to his.
I studied him for a few moments and watched his body language, he was looking at me with lust but was also shifting about. He let out a few sighs and continued to shift his glances towards me and the garden.
“How long have you known?” I blurted out.
His eyes darted on me and burrows his brows and c*cks his mouth, confused, “I’m not sure I follow you, Vic.” He admits.
“I never knew that we were destined for each other because I never honed in on my senses on you until now, but when I observe your body language I see that you already knew.” I babbled on.
“I’ve known for quite a while to be honest, that’s why I’ve always been sheepish around you.”
“Why did you never tell me?” I asked him.
He shrugs at me, “You know how it works, if it’s inevitable it happens eventually. Plus you’re my best friends’ sister, I was afraid he wouldn’t approve.”
I laugh at him, “He doesn’t have a choice, besides I think he’d be happy for me to find someone as sweet as you.” I flirtingly stroked his arm.
He moved closer to me and cupped the side of my face, “I wouldn’t ever treat you the way Derek treated you, I’d never lie to you or cheat on you.” His pupils dilate as he stares into my eyes.
I bit my lip seductively and he kissed me on the mouth, zaps of energy flew around my body and I slid my tongue through his mouth. The steamy kiss opened a tunnel of sparks hidden inside of me, everything was coming together and my aura instantly started to shift.
I parted my hair and moved it around my neck, baring it for him to mark. Owen licked a spot on my neck moaned with pleasure, his canines came out and dug against my skin.
“Are you sure you want this?” He groans against my neck.
“Yes, I want you to mark me.” I whimper as I snake my fingers into his styled hair.
His canines pierced slowly into my skin and just as he was about to mark me, my phone buzzed.
I groaned as I looked at who texted me, it was Cane.
You need to come back into the Manor, we’ve got a problem , it’s Cordy. We’re at the basement bar.
I hissed and marched back into the Manor while holding hands with Owen, the boys looked at us with raising brows; he just shrugs at them.
“Dang, Cousin, you look flushed. Did I interrupt a hot moment?” There was arrogance in Canes’ voice as he smirked at Owen.
I flipped him off and he laughs at me.
I then turned my glare to Cordelia and she’s perched at the bar, looking smug.
“Hey, Sister.” She coats her voice with sugar.
I snarl at her, “Don’t sister me, I’m not your sister.”
“Man, you’re all so uptight; you need to relax and have fun.”
She stands up and saunters upstairs, I turned to Cane, “What the f*ck is she doing here? Theo is going to flip when he comes home!” I barked at him.
He shrugs, “I haven’t got a clue, she rolled up and let herself in. When you left with Owen, Aaron and I decided to play pool so just as we came down here she followed us.”
“Well I don’t trust her to be in this house with us without Theo, let alone by herself at all. “ I barked and stormed off after her.

When we returned back to the Manor, there was a silver Porsche in the drive way; I knew exactly who it was. Thunder started to rumble and it started pouring it down, rain was smashing against my car.
“F*ck sake.” I muttered to myself.
I violently opened the door and slammed it shut, I stormed into the Manor and searched for Cordelia. She was in the pool room, perched in the hot tub with a glass of champagne in her hand. All the boys and Vic were there too, they were all staring at her knowing that she has no place here.
I stormed to her side and she glances up at me, “Hey, you.” She gleams at me like we’re best friends.
“What the f*ck are you doing in my hot tub drinking my champagne like you’re welcome here? I thought I made it clear last time that I didn’t want you here!” I roar at her.
She laughs at me as she sets down her drink and pulls herself out of the tub.
“Baby, I thought that I’d give you some time to think about your mistake and come back to make you see sense.” She purrs as she strokes my arm.
I snarl at her and everyone is shifting about, looking awkward and scared. My aura was starting to darken and Ripper was snarling in my brain.
“Get…your…f*****g… sly… hands.. off…my…arm.” I slowly said and she rolls her eyes at me.
“Do you think I’m kidding?! I want you out of my house and don’t ever come back!” I scream at her and she huffs, she then saunters to the sofa and sits down while shaking her leg in the air as she rests over her other leg.
Who the f*ck does she think she is?
“What makes you think that you can just come into my home whenever you please?” I growled at her, standing in front of her with my arms folded.
“Please, we’ve known each other for two decades. Are you just going to stand there and act like we were never a thing?” She stands up and prods my arm.
Just when I was about to snarl at her, a hand whacked her across her face. It was my sister.
“You’ve got some nerve to come back.” She sneered at her.
“When are you guys gonna get it that me and Theo are meant to be?”
Vic snickers, “You must be joking, right?”
“ Back off, Blondie, this is between me and your brother.” She snarls at Vic.
She then turns to me, “You’re in way over your head with the she-wolf. She’s nothing, you’ve only known her for two minutes.”
“I told you, her name is f*****g Lexi.” I growled through gritted teeth.
“And it doesn’t matter that I haven’t known her for very long, why are you trying to split us apart? Not that you can anyway.”
She clicks her tongue against her teeth before she glancing behind me, she then smiled and kissed me on the mouth. My stomach churned with anger and bile; Ripper was screaming inside my head and was violently slapping his tail.
Gasps were filling the air and I felt a very angry aura, I threw Cordy off of me then turned around; Lexi was stood with her arms folded, her eyes looked dangerous, her mouth was pressed into a hard line. I could tell that she wasn’t pleased with Cordy being back.
“What is she doing here kissing my man?!” Lexi spat.
I held my hand out so that she could take it and beckoned her over as she accepted my notion.
“I’m here to claim what’s mine, b*tch.” Cordy barked at Lexi.
Lexis’ heart was pounding through her chest and Jordan was stood at the side of her, looking blank; the boys were sat at the mini bar looking entertained by the show we were putting on for them.
“He…is…mine!” Lexi yelled at her and all Cordy did was laugh.
Lexis’ aura was darkening and growing stronger, almost as dark as mine. Her claws were coming out and her wolf was trying to break free, I could tell that she was trying to suppress Dollie from making an appearance but it seems that Lexi couldn’t stop it. Everyone backed away and Cordy looked slightly terrified for a second, she then grinned as if she was about to challenge Lexi.
“Oh, my God, are they actually about to fight for Theo?” I heard Aaron howl across the room.
“You f*****g bet we are!”
Lexi growled as her face became angry, in the entire time of spending it with Lexi, I’ve never felt or seen her this angry before. With her adapting to me and my wolf she is going to be stronger, and with her being on heat her emotions are going to be wild. So it doesn’t take me by surprise that Lexi is instantly feeling threatened by Cordy.
I knew that it wouldn’t be long until Cordelia returns, trying to claim me. She always has done but I never wanted to mark her. And today is the day she returns which has created unwanted drama, all she brings is drama. I just knew that the moment I saw her silver Porsche, the return of Cordelia was going to be messy.
“You wanna fight? That’s fine with me, but just be warned: I’ll crush your skull, I’m a Lycan and you’re a pathetic-tiny-ordinary werewolf.” Cordy spat at Lexi with venom in her voice.
What happened next, happened in a flash. I could not believe my eyes, everyone was staring with horror on their faces. Two female wolves had started fighting over me, one was my destined mate and the other was a sly h*e who I absolutely loathe. I f*****g despised Cordelia for her venom-bitterness, I despised the way she treated Lexi and the way she spoke to her.
I feared for my button because I knew that Cordelia was much stronger and that Lexi hadn’t fully adapted to my wolf yet snd hasn’t fully transitioned. I went to go block Cordelia from attacking Lexi but Lexi just snarled at me as she shoved me away.
“I’m not afraid to fight.” She growls at me.
I was stood, in shock, along with everyone else. This is really happening, Lexi and Cordelia are really fighting over me.
