EPISODE 5: THE FIRST ATTACK

The morning after their forest encounter, Elena wakes with a lingering unease. Every sound outside her window makes her jump, every shadow seems alive. Yet her thoughts are consumed by Kael—the mysterious, intense stranger who saved her and revealed a side of the world she never knew existed.

At school, Elena tries to act normal, but her friends notice she’s distant. Maya nudges her, whispering, “You’re hiding something. Spill it!” Elena hesitates, but she knows she can’t reveal the truth yet.

Later that afternoon, while walking home through a shortcut near the forest, Elena senses she is being followed. The hairs on the back of her neck rise as a low growl echoes behind her. Before she can react, Lucian’s scouts—feral, aggressive wolves—spring from the shadows, circling her.

Frozen with fear, Elena hears a familiar voice cutting through the growls:

“Elena! Behind me!”

Kael bursts from the trees, shifting seamlessly into his werewolf form. Towering and fierce, he confronts the intruders, teeth bared, eyes glowing under the afternoon sun. A tense battle erupts—Kael is fast, brutal, and unrelenting, defending Elena with everything he has.

Elena, trembling, hides behind a tree and watches. She is both terrified and mesmerized by Kael’s raw power. Every move he makes is controlled yet wild, a perfect balance of beast and man.

After a few intense minutes, Kael drives the attackers back, leaving them limping into the shadows. He shifts back into human form, panting and tense, then turns to Elena.

“You should never come here alone,” he growls softly, concern breaking through his usual cold demeanor. “Do you understand?”

“Yes,” she whispers, though her pulse is racing—not just from fear, but from being so close to him. She feels something she doesn’t fully understand—an unexplainable pull toward him.

Kael studies her for a long moment, conflicted. “This world is dangerous,” he warns again. “I can protect you, but I can’t promise it will ever be safe.”

Elena swallows hard, realizing the truth: she is already part of his world, and there is no turning back.

As they walk back toward town, side by side, Kael’s hand brushes hers—an unspoken connection forming between them. For the first time, Elena senses that their bond is more than curiosity or danger—it’s something deeper, something destined.

Meanwhile, in the distance, Lucian watches with a satisfied grin. “So, he’s hiding her… but not for long,” he murmurs. “The real game begins now.”
