EPISODE 4: SECRETS IN THE SHADOW

The morning after the full moon encounter, Elena arrives at school still shaken. Her friends notice her distracted, but she can’t bring herself to tell anyone what really happened—not even Maya.

Meanwhile, Kael patrols the forest near Silverpine Ridge, sensing movement. The rival pack is nearby—Lucian is testing the waters, trying to find weaknesses. Kael knows it’s only a matter of time before Lucian makes a dangerous move.

At school, Elena can’t stop thinking about Kael. She remembers the glow in his eyes, the protective way he stepped between her and the other wolf. She doesn’t fully understand why, but she feels drawn to him, even as fear grips her.

During lunch, she notices a shadow watching her from a distance—someone familiar. Kael is there, hidden among the trees lining the schoolyard. Their eyes meet briefly before he vanishes again.

Later, at home, Elena finds strange claw marks on the trees near her backyard. Fear and curiosity collide. She wonders if the forest is reaching out to her, or if danger is already closer than she thinks.

That night, unable to resist, she ventures near the edge of the forest again. Kael appears almost immediately, this time calmer, though tension still radiates from him.

“You don’t belong here,” he says softly, his eyes searching hers.

“I can’t stop thinking about you,” Elena admits, her voice barely above a whisper.

For a moment, silence hangs between them—then movement in the shadows interrupts the moment. Lucian’s men—or wolves—are approaching, testing the boundaries of Kael’s territory.

Kael growls low in warning, his wolf instincts rising. He grabs Elena’s hand, pulling her behind a large tree, shielding her from view.

“You shouldn’t have come,” he growls, both protective and frustrated.

“I couldn’t stay away,” Elena says, her voice trembling—but there’s determination in her eyes.

Kael stares at her, torn between keeping her safe and wanting her closer. “The world I live in… it’s dangerous,” he warns. “If you stay, you’ll be part of it—and there’s no going back.”

Elena’s heart races—not just from fear, but from the thrill of being near him. She knows she’s already drawn into a world she doesn’t understand, but she can’t deny the pull between them.

As they retreat deeper into the forest to escape Lucian’s scouts, Elena realizes that the danger is only beginning—and loving Kael may cost her more than she ever imagined.
