My Werewolf

Chapter 1

~Kate's P.O.V~

I’m walking in the forest when I get a sniff of a human. My first reaction is to follow it. I start to run to them while my senses telling me that something is wrong. When I get close enough, the human scent gets stronger and I know where they are. When I get nearer, I see it’s a woman. A young woman. She looks to be about 16 or 17 years old. Even when she’s unconscious she’s still so beautiful. I transform back into my human self, gently picking her up bridal style, suddenly feeling sparks throughout my entire body. I know about mates and all but I didn’t think a human would be mine. I regain my posture and carry her back to my cave. I lay her down on the ground for a second as I get my bed all made up for her to sleep on. When I get finished I hear shuffling and a small voice.

“Where...where am I? Who are you?” The girl says, stuttering. I turn around and look at her. She looks at me with fear in her eyes. I try getting into her mind and I hear her thoughts.

‘Who is she? Where am I?’ She says in her mind while still looking at me.

“Shhh shhh, it’s okay. It’s okay. I found you in the forest and brought you back here. You’re safe” I say and she still looks terrified. She slowly gets up and I walk over to help her. She’s cautious before she puts her hand in mine and I feel the sparks again. She must too because she shudders. She looks up at me with her gorgeous big brown eyes. Her blonde hair falls in her face and we both go to push it back. When we do, our hands touch, causing more sparks to spread through our bodies, making us both shudder and gasp.

“Um...thank you. For saving me.” She says and I nod.

“You’re welcome….uh….what’s your name?” I ask and she looks at me.

“Oh, it’s Winter. What’s yours?” Winter asks.

“Katie. I go by Kate though” I say and she looks at me. She’s so beautiful.

~Winter’s P.O.V~

Why do I feel this way with her? I’ve never felt this way with another girl. But she makes me feel so safe. She did save me too. I owe her. The way she looks at me with her blue eyes. Her brown hair falls perfectly on her shoulders. She looks at the entrance of the cave and it’s getting darker.

“Um...look it’s getting late. You should stay the night here with me and I can take you home in the morning if you want? It’s not safe here at night being by yourself.” Kate says and I nod.

“Um, you can take my bed while I sleep on the floor. I don’t mind it.” She says. I look at her and nod. I go to lay on the bed and Kate goes to lay on the cave floor. I hear a small growl and as I sit up, I look to the entrance of the cave to see a wolf. Kate sits up too and sees the wolf and growls. I look at her down to see her body start to shift...her clothes ripping as she turns into a wolf, attacking the wolf threatening me. I scream in fright as I watch Kate go after the wolf. I watch as Kate goes after the wolf, but soon the other wolf takes control. The other wolf starts attacking Kate. He bites her neck, making Kate howl in pain. Soon, Kate can throw the wolf off her, and the wolf leaves, running into the night. Kate huffs and falls to the ground. I rush over to her, picking up her head and putting it in my lap. I pet her head and she lets out a content whimper. She shifts back into a human and I see her naked. She looks at me and I look at her.

“Who was he?” I ask and she huffs.

“A wolf from an enemy pack. He was able to find us because of your scent.” She says and I nod, looking away.

“It’s not your fault. I’m okay. I heal quickly.” She says and I look back at her, nodding. I reach over and grab the blanket and put it over her, covering her. She begins to stand and I help her. We walk to the bed and she lays down. I sit on the edge and she moves but I shake my head.

“I’ll be fine. You need rest.” She tells me and I nod. She looks at me and pulls me towards her.

“Why don't you lay with me tonight? Will that make you feel better?” She asks me and I nod, blushing.

She laughs and lifts my head with her finger under my chin, the sparks coming back.

“Cutie,” She says and I shake my head and she nods hers.

"Come on...lets go to sleep." Kate says and we do. I snuggle up to her, curling my body into hers as she wraps a protective arm around me. I sigh, feeling safe and warm. She lays her head down so her chin is on my head. I feel loved and safe and secure by her. A wolf...a werewolf. One who saved and protected me. No one has ever done that for me. Those sparks never going away during the night. She makes me feel so so safe.
