CHAPTER FIVE “Are you going to watch Tom’s band tomorrow night?” asked Janice, wiping down the back bar. “They’re so good. I’ve been to see them four times now.” Evelyn had just about finished cleaning the coffee machine, her least favourite chore. She was surprised at the question. Tom hadn’t mentioned anything to her about playing in a band, and certainly nothing about playing in a gig tomorrow night.
