Evelyn retreated into her own zone, focused on the caterers, which slightly annoyed Jean. “If you haven’t found one you like,” Jean ventured, “let me know and I’ll find out what my friend’s availability is like.” “Aww, thanks,” she answered, “but I’m looking for a team of caterers, from chefs to waiters, who can do the whole thing.” “Ah, right,” said Jean, putting the brakes on. “I’ll just sit quietly over here.” Oh great! That was all she needed, Jean sulking. “You can help me with the food, though, if you want? I know exactly what I need, so if you fancy coming with me, we can find out how much the meal will cost.” It was one way of shutting her up. With Jean busy looking at food on her laptop, Evelyn made more notes of who to contact about the catering. She now had a third company
