Clara felt a surge of emotion welling up inside her at his words. "I just want what's best for the pack," she admitted, her voice catching in her throat. "And for you."

Alexander's gaze softened, a hint of vulnerability shining through. "And what about you, Clara?" he asked, his voice barely more than a whisper. "What do you want?"
