Laura was genuinely frightened by that smile. She didn't doubt for a second that Astria wouldn't do it. A minute passed in contemplation and then she slapped her hand down and cried out for a stop with angry tears streaming down her eyes.
The challenge concluded with polite applause from the audience and a stretcher being brought up to take Laura away for some first aid. Astria shifted back, staring as Laura was being picked up and taken back.
