Chapter 27 : Another Night Together

695 Words
The words “I’m yours” still lingered in the air, vibrating between them like a dangerous vow. Elena could feel it thrumming inside her chest, echoing through every nerve of her body. Adrian didn’t give her time to take them back. He kissed her again, fiercer, deeper, his lips devouring her as though he’d been starving for years. His hands gripped her waist, dragging her impossibly closer, until her body was flush against his. Elena whimpered against his mouth, the sound only fueling his hunger. She clung to him, desperate and trembling, her guilt dissolving into raw need. Daniel’s proposal, the ring, the promise she had made all of it faded into a blur she could no longer hold on to. There was only Adrian. He stood abruptly, lifting her effortlessly into his arms. She gasped, wrapping her legs around his waist as he carried her through the dim apartment. The kiss never broke, their mouths colliding with heat and desperation. When he laid her down on the bed, his gaze devoured her. He hovered over her, his breath ragged, his jaw tight with restraint. “You have no idea,” he growled, his voice gravelly, “how much I’ve wanted this. How much I’ve wanted you.” Elena’s heart thundered. She reached up, touching his cheek with trembling fingers. “Then take me.” That was all it took. Adrian’s control snapped. His mouth descended onto her neck, leaving hot, urgent kisses along her skin. She arched beneath him, her fingers tangling in his hair as a soft cry escaped her lips. Every kiss, every touch felt like fire branding her, claiming her. “Elena,” he whispered against her collarbone, his voice rough, breaking. “You drive me insane.” Her body trembled under his hands, but she no longer fought the storm. She welcomed it, craved it. She wanted him as desperately as he wanted her. Their clothes became a blur, each piece discarded carelessly as they clung to one another. Skin met skin, and the sensation stole her breath, sending sparks racing down her spine. Adrian hovered over her again, his forehead pressed to hers, his eyes locked on hers with a gaze so intense it made her chest ache. “This isn’t just lust,” he rasped, his thumb brushing her swollen lips. “This is mine. You’re mine.” Elena swallowed hard, her breath shuddering. “Then prove it.” The world fell away. Adrian kissed her again, slower now, deeper—every movement deliberate, as though he was etching himself into her soul. His touch alternated between rough and tender, between possession and worship, leaving her breathless, overwhelmed, undone. Every sound she made, he swallowed with his mouth. Every shiver, every moan, he drew out of her like a secret meant only for him. Elena felt herself unraveling, lost in the rhythm of his body against hers, in the way he held her like she was both fragile porcelain and the only thing that could satisfy his hunger. And when they finally gave in completely, the world shattered around them. It wasn’t just physical—it was emotional, consuming, addictive. Elena cried out his name, her nails digging into his back, and Adrian silenced her with a kiss so deep it stole every last ounce of air from her lungs. When it was over, they lay tangled together in the sheets, their bodies slick with sweat, their breathing heavy and uneven. Adrian’s arm was wrapped firmly around her, pulling her against his chest as if he would never let her go. He pressed a kiss into her hair, his lips lingering. “Don’t go back to him,” he murmured, his voice hoarse but tender. “Stay with me. Always.” Elena closed her eyes, the words stabbing through her heart. She wanted to say yes, to surrender completely. But in the back of her mind, Daniel’s face still lingered, broken and loyal. Her voice trembled as she whispered back, “I don’t know if I can.” Adrian’s grip tightened around her, his jaw hardening against her temple. “Then I’ll make sure you do.”
