Ava’s POV:
“Leon, how did you get here? Why did you leave with that witch? Why are you with the rogues? Since when are you a rogue? Are Brisk and Ayah here too? What about mama and Tim? Do you know why we’re here?....” I started asking questions as fast as they were popping in my head without a single breath.
“Woah, woah, calm down cowgirl. I know you got loads of questions, but maybe we should go to another room to talk.” He said, eyeing the crowd around us.
“We can use my study. I also have something I would like to discuss with you.” Axel offered. “Ace, escort my father here. Lucas, Tom, I’d appreciate it if you came along as well. Tonya, bring some refreshments to the study.”
“Yes, Alpha.” They all said in unison as we started to make our way to his study.
“Leon?” I peered up suspiciously as we entered the study.
“I can’t explain everything yet. It’s not my place, but if you come back with me, where its safe, Ayah can give you all the answers.” Leon looked away towards the ground as Axel growled.
“She’s not going anywhere near the rogues!” Axel roared possessively.
“Ayah is here! If Ayah can tell me, then you can tell me!” I glared impatiently.
“It’s not that simple. The truth could get you killed.” Leon said solemnly.
“LEON.” I snarled, pissed, making him whimper. “I’m sick of being left in the dark. I’d rather live a life knowing the truth, than be safe and ignorant. I need to know.”
“You can be pissed at me all you want, I’m not going to risk your life for anything! We didn’t want this life for you, but that stupid hag forced our hand!” Leon yelled.
“Aargh, stop being annoying.” I flicked his forehead. “Are you talking about the witch?”
“No, it doesn’t matter.”
“I don’t really know what’s going on, but if it has to do with her, she has a right to know. Especially if her life hangs in the balance,” Lucas cut in.
“Ha. Of course, you wouldn’t care. It’s not your life that will be in danger.” Leon hissed.
“Leon!” “Don’t talk to him like that. He hasn’t done anything to you.” I yelled angrily, making Leon's expression soften.
“If you come, you can see Brisk.” Leon tried to persuade me.
“Brisk! You left him alone with the rogues?!” “Wait, is he a rogue?” I asked.
“No, he's human. And he’s with Mom, Ayah, and Tim.”
“They’re all here?” I said, dumbfounded.
“Yes, and they're waiting for you. We all are.”
“She’s not going with you,” Axel growled.
“Rogues can’t be trusted,” Tom sneered.
“They’re known for lying and playing dirty just to get what they want. Luna, I know he’s your brother, but he’s a rogue now. He could very well betray you at any moment,” Lucas reasoned.
“I would NEVER HURT MY SISTER.” Leon snarled, full of rage.
“That’s enough.” I sat down on a comfy chair rubbing my temples.
“Ava’s right.” Axel agreed. “How about we find some middle ground?”
“Well, that is the main reason I came.” Leon said, bored.
“Not to see me?” I questioned.
“It was for you! Everything is for you.” Leon said quickly, feeling guilty.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I spat.
“Ugh,” Leon groaned, looking away. “In one week, in the center of Dead man’s forest, the rogue kingdom officially invites you and fifty of your warriors to a peace talk.”
“Peace?!” Tom spat venomously. “Why now?”
“What is our Luna to them?” Lucas asked suspiciously.
“I won’t hand over Ava. I will slaughter every last rogue if that’s what it takes to protect her,” Axel said coldly.
“That’s why Ava’s safer with us than she is with you! The one responsible for all her pain is…” Leon cut himself off quickly as everyone’s eyes narrowed in on him with wide eyes. “I have to go. Ava, if you want answers, come to the peace talk. Ayah and mom, will be there.” He said as Tonya walked in with a tray of food, setting it down for everyone.
“Alphas, Luna.” Tonya said, bowing respectfully, giving me goosebumps.
“Yeah, I still prefer you calling me Ava.” I said, rubbing the goosebumps away, making Leon chuckle.
“I’ve said everything that I needed to say and a little more than that, so I’ll be going now. Axel, if you want Ava to be happy, I suggest you treat her better than you treat yourself. If one hair on her head is harmed, it’ll be you I blame.” Leon said, before turning into a big brown wolf and running out. Leon is a wolf?! I mean he said he was a rogue, so I guess that makes sense. But he’s a wolf! From many of the wolves I had seen, Leon was much bigger, but still only half the size of Axel. If he's a wolf, what else has my family been hiding?
“Are you seriously going to consider peace talks with them?” Tom snarled.
“I don’t know,” Axel answered.
“I think it’s a trap. The fact that he wanted Ava to be there is extremely troubling.” Lucas said, rubbing his temple.
“Umm…, I know it’s not my place…” Tonya's voice squeaked up as every one's eyes set on her. “But I really don’t think it would be wise to put our Luna in that kind of danger.”
“Thank you Tonya for your concern.” I smiled softly, hugging her tightly. “Thank you everyone for being worried about me, but this is my decision to make. I’M GOING.” I said with finality in my voice.
“You can’t!” Tom panicked.
“It’s not safe.” Lucas rubbed his temples.
“Ava, I won’t…” Axel started to say, as suddenly the doors to the study were slammed open by Axel’s father barging in.
“You invited ROGUE’S in our home!” Axel's father's voice boomed. “You let them leave ALIVE!” His muscles bulged. And I thought Axel had a temper.
“Father,” Axel called out coldly.
“Where did I go wrong? Where did I go wrong raising you? They killed your mother and attacked you and your….” His words trailed off as his eyes fell on Tonya. His expression went from rage to full shock.
“Father, I know your upset, but…” Axel started as his father cut in. His father's next words left everyone at a loss for words.
“Mate.” Axel's father mumbled. “Mate.” He said, walking up to Tonya and kissing her like she might disappear.
“What?!” Axel and I said in Unison.
“How old are you Tonya? I mean your in your late twenties and he’s in his, what mid 50’s.” I asked, still trying to recover from the shock.
Tonya chuckled while madly blushing. “I’m 45.”
“How? Mom was your mate?” Axel asked, confused. "She's not mom."
“The goddess has blessed me with a second chance mate.” Axel’s father said lovingly, looking at his mate. “We have to get rid of the rogues once in for all. I won’t let them take my mate away AGAIN.” He growled, holding Tonya tightly in his arms.
Derrick POV:
She knows! She knows! How does she know?! Who is she?! Where did that power come from?! “She knows!” I threw my kitchen table across the room.
“She knows what?” A womanly voice asked as I turned around swiftly to find Rava leaning up against a wall. Her smell was different.
“Rogue!” I snarled.
“Courtesy of his new queen.” She hissed.
“Is he going to make me rogue?!” I asked as my eyes darkened.
“After your pathetic performance, I’m sure it won’t be long.” She chuckled. “Why did you run?”
“His queen needs to be put down. Axel as well.” I growled.
“Oh, really? You think you can do it?” she asked, curious.
“She caught me off guard is all. Next time I’ll make that b***h regret making me look like a fool.” I said with venom dripping out of my mouth.
“I’ll help you.” She offered.
“A woman?” I spat.
“You should become the next Alpha King of All Alphas, then you will make me your Luna.” She explained.
“Why should I do that?”
“I’m a rogue and she has the rogues on her side. I could easily get information that we couldn’t before. And I would do it for you.” She said seductively, running her fingers down my chest to my genitals. “You’ll need to kill Axel's father as well.” She rubbed my shaft up and down.
“Killing him would be my pleasure.” I said, grabbing her hair, pushing her down to her knees and shoving my c**k into her mouth as far as I could go back and forth as she coughed while small tears began to triple down her face. “You wanted to play, so now suck my c**k. Show me why Jason kept your pretty face around.” I pounded my c**k in her mouth, aggressively releasing my c*m. “You better swallow if you want to be my queen.” I smiled maliciously watching her gulp.
“I’ll be your w***e as long as I’m your queen.” She grinned nefariously.
