Ava’s POV:
Since I woke up, Axel’s been busy with work. He has barely had time to come see me these last couple of days. I guess running a kingdom isn’t that easy. I’m bored out of my mind. Axel has me confined to my room again, but this time he says it's only until I’m completely recovered, even though I feel fine. He’s too god damn protective. My leg and any wound I had have already healed up; in fact, it’s like it never happened. I’ve never recovered so quickly. I’m starting to think I’m not as human as I thought, regardless of what everyone else says.
Axel told me that Leon seemed to be in league with the Witch and the rogues. We fought over it for hours. My brother wouldn’t help anyone hurt me. Why would he save me? Why would the witch tell Axel to say sorry to me? Why would they call off the rogue attacks? Nothing makes any sense! I’m sure Leon has a good explanation.
I grabbed my hairbrush and started singing my heart out, tapping on the furniture while spinning around, swaying my hips. ‘Girl gone wild,’ I thought as I continued to dance around the room and sing. I shook my head back and forth, swinging my hair in a circle, jumping on the bed. Raising the hairbrush to the ceiling, and then, to my surprise, I noticed Axel leaned up against the door, staring at me with loving eyes, making me jump in a panic, letting out a scream as I fell off the other side of the bed.
“Ouch,” I mumbled, rubbing my head. “Why didn’t you say something?” I asked, beet red.
“You looked like you were having fun.” He chuckled. “Plus, you were cute.”
“Ugh,” I groaned. “What do you want?”
“I thought I could take you out today.”
“Don’t you have work?”
“Ace can do it. I need a break.” He said, acting like a child. “Today, I want to be with you.”
“Is that so?” “But look at me, I think I need to continue recovering.” I said sarcastically, glaring at him.
“I know you are mad about me keeping you in here. But it was for your safety.”
“But I am healed!” I raised my hands, irritated.
“It’s not just about that! The rogues want you and, on top of that, I have traitors in my own court that wouldn’t mind seeing you dead.” He snarled at the thought.
“Rava!?” “She’s a coward. I can handle her on my own.”
“It’s not just her!”
“Then who?!” I yelled as he silently stared at the floor. “Who Axel?!”
“I don’t know, but tomorrow the truth will come out, one way or another.” He promised. “Will you please come with me? I’d like to show you around.”
“…Fine.” I sighed, rubbing my temples.
“Thank you,” he smiled gently. “My father is waiting for us downstairs in the study.”
“Your father?!”
“Don’t be nervous. He’s actually very gentle. Not to mention he hasn’t stopped nagging to meet you since you arrived.”
“What about your mother?” I asked.
“She was murdered by rogues years ago.” He said, bowling his fists.
“I thought those that lose their mates would go crazy?” I asked, remembering what Tonya had explained.
“My mother was his mate, so when she died, he did struggle with his sanity. But I was only a child, so my father did his best to fight it. Eventually, he was able to overcome it, but he was never fully the same.”
“I’m sorry.” I walked up to him and grabbed his arm as we began to walk out the room. Hearing him talk about his mother pained my heart. He was so young.
“It’s okay, Love. I was so young that I barely remember my mother.”
“I have to admit, I admire what your father did for you. Why is he not the king still?”
“I took over very young because after losing his mate he wasn’t able to perform his duties as well as he could’ve. Not to mention, the older werewolves get, the harder it is for us to keep up with everything that goes into running a kingdom. He tried for a long time to juggle everything despite his loss though. I ended up being a year younger than Tom was when I became king.”
“That’s super young.”
We walked down a hallway full of portraits and then down a spiral staircase that led to a giant room full of books. This is a study? More like a library.
“Well, hello there.” A man roughly in his 50’s snuck up behind us. He had Jet black hair like Axel, but brown eyes instead. He was also pretty well built.
“Dad! I told you not to do that.” Axel glared.
“Because everyone always does what you want.” His father said sarcastically, making me giggle.
“Except apparently you and Ava,” Axel mumbled.
“Oh, that’s good to hear. My son needs a woman to tell him what to do!” His father exclaimed. “I like you already.” He said, pulling me into a hug. “Call me dad, I insist.”
I couldn’t help, but smirk at Axel. “Thank you, dad.” “The first time I met your son he royally pissed me off then threw me over his shoulders and jumped out a window on the third floor. I about died of fright. Can you believe that?!”
“Axel!” He glared. “I’m sorry, my child.” He patted my head like a loving father. “I tried to raise him right, but there’s only so much a parent can do.”
“I feel like I should separate you before the plotting starts.”
“Nonsense.” “Ignore him. I do. You must tell me everything.”
“He had me confined to my room for the last couple days, even though I was completely healed.” I whined.
“You told me I couldn’t see her because she was still recovering.” His eyes narrowed in on Axel, who just shrugged. “I’m really sorry about what happened with those rogues, my dear.” He snarled at the thought. “If I had finished off their queen years ago, you wouldn’t have had to go through that. Back then she was just a princess. I can’t believe she’s rearing her ugly head after all these years. If only I had searched harder…”
“What happened to her parents?” I asked, curious.
He grinned, making me shiver. “Her mother died during childbirth. As for her father, I killed him.”
“I think that’s enough for one day, dad. I was going to show Ava around, since this will be her new home.” Axel rubbed his temples. “Come along, Ava. I’ll talk to you later, dad.”
“Alright. See you, around my child.” He smiled gently.
“Sorry about that.” Axel said, escorting me outside, over to a garden.
“It’s beautiful…” I gasped in awe. There were flowers of all kinds, trees with ruby red leaves embedded into the branches and a stream that led to a small elegant waterfall.
“It belongs to my mother and now it belongs to you.” He smiled, but I just frowned. “What is it?”
“I love gardens. I love flowers. I love nature and all its beauty. It’s the one thing that never lies. It’s truly what it appears to be.” I leaned down, brushing my fingers on a pink flower patch. “I once asked my mom for a cactus because it was pink and cute. You know what she said?”
“What?”
“She said no, even when I begged her. When I asked her why, she said it was because I would probably kill it. Do you know how hard it is to kill a cactus?” I chuckled. “She wasn’t wrong. I’m really clumsy when it comes to plants. That’s why I can’t accept this. Plus, I’m not the delicate type anyways.”
“Your softer than you think, my little rose.” He said, plucking a rose and placing it in my hair between my ears.
“A rose has thorns.” I smirked, splashing some water in his face.
“Oh, no you didn’t.” He narrowed his eyes at me as I grinned wider, throwing more water in his face before running off into the garden giggling. “Your so going to get it.” I laughed, sticking my tongue at him as he tackled me to the ground, next to a yellow flower patch. He held my arms above my head, eyeing my body like a hungry beast before looking back up at me smirking. He brought his face close as I shut my eyes waiting for him to kiss me. My body was shooting sparks, craving him. I wanted him, but nothing happened. “Did you think I was going to kiss you?” He chuckled before tickling me mercilessly.
“You butthead!” I screeched, laughing hard and trying to escape. I flipped myself on top of him, cradling his hips. I was holding his wrists away from me when a brilliant idea popped into my head. “Hehehe,” I rubbed his lower half against my v****a, going back and forth. I leaned forward and licked his neck slowly, making him moan as I nibbled down on his ear. He was struggling to get his wrists out of my hold, but I wasn’t budging.
After all, he’s always teasing me. I think it’s about time I got some revenge. I moved down to his shirt, slowly unbuttoning his top with my teeth. I started to suck on his chest, leaving hickeys and small kisses as I traced down his rock hard abs. As I got to his pants, I unbuttoned them again with only my teeth while slowly getting to his underwear. I placed my mouth right above his tip and sucked through the underwear, making him shiver and moan.
That’s when he got out of my grasp and grabbed my hips, picking me up and placing me on his head, surprising me as he began to suck and lick between my lips into my core. He wants to play that game! That’s just fine with me. I used my hands to pull down his underwear and began to lick, suck, and twirl my tongue around while using one hand to rub his shaft up and down. His tongue was eating out my core, making my legs tremble, while his member pulsed in my mouth as we both came at the same time making our bodies shiver sending us into a moaning frenzy.
“I can’t believe you did that.” Axel said, holding me in his arms as I laid my head on his chest. “Where did you learn to do that?”
“A magician never reveals their secrets.” I chuckled.
