Ava’s POV: “Tonya!!” I jumped at her excitedly. “What are you doing here?!” “Axel sent for me! I was so worried about you?!” “You heard about the attack?” “Yeah. A letter was sent saying that you were dying, but it looks like you're completely healed. Thank the moon goddess.” She sighed, relieved. “A letter?” “Axel told me to get you all pretty up for tonight’s events. I’m going to turn you into eye candy. Axel won’t be able to take his eyes off you tonight.” She giggled, ignoring my question. “Oh, joy.” I said sarcastically. “This should be fun.” “Don’t be such a kill joy.” Tonya pouted, making me sigh. “What’s happening tonight that I need to be all doll up for?” “It’s a surprise.” She grinned as we heard a knock at the door. “Hey ladies.” Ace said, walking in. “Axel asked me to bring you this, Tonya.” He said, handing her a bag. After she peaked at it, she looked up at him confused. “I don’t understand.” “What is it?” I asked. “Since you’re a good friend of Ava’s. Axel thought it would be nice if you attended.” “But this is too refined for someone like me.” She said, pulling out an elegant green dress. “Ooohh…,” I eyed, excitedly. “Ace, get out!” I ordered, grinning like a mischievous child. “It’s finally your turn.” “Wait! Ava! I couldn’t possibly...” She protested as Ace left the room laughing. “Oh, no. There’s no escape for you.” I said, jumping on her, forcing her to change. Honestly, she was adorable. I loved Tonya. She was so cute and chubby. I always knew she was beautiful, but tonight she gets to feel beautiful. I’m so excited. I did her hair while she did her makeup. “Look at you! You’re a hot babe!” “Your too kind. I know even with makeup, I can’t be helped.” She smiled with sad eyes. “Tonya,” I said coldly. “You’re a princess! You don’t need makeup or a pretty dress to be beautiful. I know what everyone used to say, but I also know what I said. Anyone would be lucky to have you as a bride. I wish you had my eyes, so that you could see what I do.” I smiled softly. "Hahaha, I'm not a princess." Tonya laughed. Axel’s POV: “What’s going on?” Derrick asked as he entered the pack room that was already very crowded. “You’ll see,” I said coldly. “Alpha Axel!” Lucas rushed over, bowing respectfully. “How is the Luna?” “Has she woken up yet?” Cheryl asked, walking up behind Lucas worried. “Yes, we are all very concerned about our Luna,” Mistress Rava chimed in. “…,” “The ones responsible will be punished.” I said harshly, as the room became tense. “Rogues!” Jason spat as a group of rogues came walking into the room. My pack members took a defensive position, growling and snarling, ready to attack the rogues. “Rude.” The rogue, Leon, huffed. “We only came because you invited us.” He said, shocking everyone except me. “I’m glad you got my letter. I didn’t know if you would come.” I said expressionless. “Everyone, these rogues are my guests.” “What is going on?” Jeremy hissed. “Where is the rogue queen?” I asked Leon. I know I specifically asked her to come. “I haven’t seen her in a while. I heard she found her mate.” Leon smirked. “WHAT?!” Derrick roared, making everyone turn their heads toward him. “Derrick?” I glared. “Sire, their queen is….” Derrick stopped himself. “This man is a filthy rogue and can’t be trusted.” No one saw anything. Before I could finish laying my trap to get to the truth, there standing before us all was my beautiful mate, with her hands wrapped around Derrick’s neck. Her red hair was glowing and floating above her ears, which were now pointy with black- red tips. Her eyes were as black as night with her claws extended piercing ever so lightly into his skin. She was wearing a golden shimmering dress that fit tightly around her hips, falling to the ground. She was captivating and terrifying. The earth was rumbling as the lights flickered. “Filthy rogue?!” Ava spat. “Can’t be trusted?!” She said, disgusted as she began to lose control. “I see through you, you vile creature!” She roared, strangling him as he gasped for air. “When they learn the truth, there will be no where for you to hide. No where for you to run. Ava will have what she is owed. The moon goddess sends her best.” She said, releasing Derrick, who fell to the ground shaking like a leaf as Ava went back to normal. “How…? What…?” Derrick coughed wide- eyed. “Derrick? What are you doing on the ground? Are you okay?” Ava asked sweetly, as if she was an entirely different person. “Do you not remember?” I walked over to her as Derrick turned into his giant wolf and ran away. Did he just run?! “I don’t know what your talking about.” She tilted her head like an adorably confused child. “Leon?” “Hey.” He casually waved as Ava pushed me to the side, and jumped on Leon, giving him a giant hug, making me growl. She should be giving me a hug, not that rogue! “Dude, she’s my sister.” Leon rolled his eyes as everyone in the room gasped. “Her brother is a rogue?!” Rava scoffed. “I need to keep care of something, real quick.” Ava said, planting a soft kiss on Leon's cheek as she turned to face Mistress Rava. “She’s not fit to be our Luna.” Jason snarled as I growled. “She is my…” I began as Ava cut me off. “Jason, does that mean you’ve decided to become a traitor? And Rava. My brother is human, not a rogue.” Ava said coldly. “Actually, Ava, I am a rogue.” Leon corrected awkwardly. “Oh. You’ll have to tell me about that later?” Ava said, turning red, a bit embarrassed. “Leon might be rogue, but he isn’t bad.” She argued. “But he’s a rogue?” Kayla and Cheryl said in unison. “I don’t care if he’s a rogue, a wolf, a witch, or some weird mythical creature. He is my brother!” She roared using her alpha persuasion, making everyone submit to her. “As for you, Ava. I’ve had quite enough of your ridicule.” She said as her eyes went black. “Jason, will you stand by your Alpha King and his Luna or will you choose your Mistress?” Ava asked. “That’s not a fair choice!” Jason exclaimed, growling. “You heard her.” I growled using my alpha power. “CHOOSE.” “Jason…” Rava whimpered. “…,” Jason looked at the ground defeated. “My Alpha king and his Luna.” “Jason! How could you?!” Rava screeched, outraged. “I may not be his mistress anymore, but I’m still a high-ranking official. I have money and power. I don’t need him.” Rava yelled arrogantly while I watched Ava carefully, who remained expressionless. “I’m glad you see that you don’t need him. If Jason had chosen you, he would have suffered the same fate. You won’t need him, your rank or power. You are banished from all the werewolf kingdoms under King Axel's rule. And he is the Alpha of all Alphas. You are free to leave with the rogues if they’ll have you.” “We don’t want her,” Leon said quickly. “You can’t do this! All because I was a little snotty with you! You might as well make all the high ranking officials rogue!” Rava screamed, trembling, as tears fell to the ground. “I’m sorry, you think it’s because you were rude. No, honey. It’s because you’re a traitor.” Ava said sweetly as Rava's eyes widened. “And as you well know, treason is punishable by death.” I grinned, making everyone in the room shiver, except Ava and Leon. “We know about the globe you used to contact the rogues.” “They’re lying!!” Rava panicked. “I think not.” Leon butted in. “You very well might’ve succeeded in murdering your Alpha king and his Luna, along with his Beta and his men, if Ava had not been his Luna.” “It’s not true!! It’s not true! Please don’t do this!” Rava pleaded. “So selfish.” Ava looked at her disgusted. “Leon could’ve died. Anyone who hurts my family will lose everything, including their dignity.” She said with venom. "I was safe. I'm not weak, you know." Leon huffed. "I didn't know that at the time. I thought I'd lost you." Ava whimpered. "I'm sorry." Leon said, looking guilty. "What will I do?!" Rava cried. "Live a better life than you have." Ava said flatly. “Throw her out. Rava count your lucky stars. I was just going to kill you.” I ordered. “This was supposed to be your welcoming party to the pack.” I said, looking at Ava as I sighed. “Then why did you invite them?” Leon asked, referring to the royal officials. “I was going to interrogate them after tonight’s events. Everything was going to plan, until Ava showed up.” I answered. “Though, I have a feeling Ava did a pretty good job of scary these snobs shitless.” “I’ll say.” Lucas walked over. “We’re so glad to see you doing fine.” Cheryl smiled, speaking to Ava. “Was she really as hurt as you claimed?” Tom asked, coming from the crowd. “That was a bit of an exaggeration.” I rubbed my neck, smiling awkwardly. “We should probably get this over with.” I picked up Ava's bridal style, walking on top of the stage. “Everyone, this is Ava Small, my mate. Please welcome her to the Crescent Moon Pack as our Luna.” Everyone cheered in excitement, accepting their new Luna.
