3. Abigail

Some days we just don't want to wake up or do something. Today is that day for me. But I had to wake up and get dressed because I had to meet Elijah. I didn't want to miss the chance, so I got up from bed and looked at myself in the mirror which was in front of my bed. God, I looked like some homeless person who hadn't washed their hair for days. I needed to hurry up. Today is my first day at drama club. I had to look good. I took a shower, washed my hair and curled it. i have tones of makeup from primer to makeup fixer, but believe me, I don't know how to do a single thing, so whatever I know I try to do only those things. The wing liner doesn't look the same on both my eyes and how much blusher is enough I can't understand. I look totally hilarious. i dont know why everyone always compliments me. I look so beautiful. Why can't I see what they see in me? Those tons of self-love vedio only motivated me till-the-vedio was playing vedio over self-love over. I felt like crying. I took a makeup wipe remover and wiped everything off and did my skin care and put on some tinted lip balm, and I'm done. If people think I'm beautiful this way, then let it be this way.

" You look beautiful, Bella." Your face instantly lit up when you heard your mom compliment you. You smiled at her and took a seat. "Is today anything special?" you nodded at your mom. "Yes, today is my first drama lesson mom." You didn't miss the distressed look on your mom's face which instantly made you sad. Yes, they don't like the things you choose for your studies. They want you to choose management or some business subjects, but you decide to have a degree in fashion designing and drama. Drama is your minor subject. Honestly, you just thought it would be fun. And designing is something you want to do for a living. You don't want to join your father's company or carry on the legacy that Elijah can manage after your parents. After all, they have chosen him for you right now. They just can't complain about what they themselves choose. You ignore that hurt feeling in your heart and complete your breakfast.

"Stop it Bella, you are looking good." This is what you told yourself last time before you left the house. You again decide to take a bus. You liked it. Waiting at the bus stop for the bus makes you happy. You were wearing a high-waist leather mid-thigh-length body-hugging skirt, and a white sweetheart neck with full sleeves, a little floral top, and the same colored brown ankle-length boots. You hopped on the bus and smiled for the day while feeling excited.

" Why is everything so messy? I told you to arrange everything before hand". Elijah was angry, everything was ready for the deal, but at the last moment, Pal, his personal manager, informed him that the restaurant they booked for the meeting was canceling the booking because of some inconvenience. " There is another restaurant down the town that is really great we can try there." Abigail said while checking for the seats. "Do whatever you guys can do i dont want to postpone the meeting at any cost." she nodded and called the resturant.

He entered the restaurant with Abigail, Pal and some more employees who worked on the project. They got into the Vip section, which was fully booked for them, so there would not be any other people. "They are on the way." Elijah nodded at Pal. "Do you want me to order something for you?" Abigail asked while arranging the document. Looking out from the restaurant glass wall, Elijah's mind drifted onto Bella. He is going to meet her after the meeting. He doesn't know how to feel about that, but somehow he is feeling on edge and just wants to finish the meeting as soon as possible. As Abigail asked, he remembered how she wanted to have a smoothy but couldn't have it. "Asked them to make their best smoothy and packed it nicely." Abigail nodded and went from there to order it.

"You did so well, Clara". You appreciate one of your team members who is acting with you. She is so sweet to you the whole time. Not only she, but everyone is so sweet. It's almost going to be 4 months in college, but you didn't make any friends. And now that you are surrounded by 4 people who are so nice to you and want to be friends with you, you just can't express your happiness. "We are gonna rock it. I swear the script is so amazing," Danial said before flipping on the beanbag. "Yes and how come I haven't come across any of you in these 4 months of college," Gabi asked, and I smiled. "I also didn't seen any of you until now." "Because we all have different program dumb bitches that's why." Nate hit her on head before saying "dont you dare insult me by calling me b***h but you can call me bull or tiger or wolf you know." She looked at him like she is gonna puke and 5 of you laughed.

" You are going home by bus?" Nate asked you, shocked. "Yes, actually my driver is on vacation. For 2 weeks, dad wanted me to have another one for the time, but I wanted to take advantage of the freedom I could get for 2 weeks, so I refused." You smiled at him like you had achieved something so big."You, rich people and your rules." Gabi said and rolled her eyes. "Guys we work so hard lets get some food in our system" you also nodded its almost 2 in the noon you didn't have anything after breakfast you also decide to check on some parlor after the college before meeting Elijah you wanted to take some beauty classes so you can atleast apply some basic makeup. You all get your things and decide to go to some restaurant down town, which is not so far from the college.

"So we can start it from next month", Elijah nodded and signed the deal. "Lets have something for lunch." they all ordered and started talking about some political views. Suddenly, one of the investors, Harper's eyes, caught someone from the glass wall which showed outside the vip section. "Oh, I guess that was Bella, Mr Cullin's daughter." This caught Elijah's attention immediately. He turned and looked at where Harper was looking and got a glimpse of Bella, but he felt instantly nervous when he saw her with a male person and his mind started wondering who that guy was. Then a few more people entered, so he understood that maybe she had come with some of her friends and saw her sitting in the corner seat with her friends. "How do you know her", Elijah asked Harper. "Oh one day i had to go to mister cullin's house for some work i seen her there and not only that i was with my son that day and he instantly got some intrest in her, so he asked me to have a talk with her parents but unfortunately mr culling already fixed her marrage with someone." He laughed while telling his sons interest in Bella but this thing doesn't settle with Elijah his face turned cold. "We never knew cullin's has a daughter" another investor asked. "Huu actually she never came in any party and all she wanted to live a normal life." Elijah constantly looking at Bella and this doesn't go unnoticed by other. and on the other hand Abigail was feeling uncomftable by all the talk she looked at Elijah and find him looking at Bella its make her angry but she cant do anything. "Haha she is quite a side to be hold Elijah we all know but didn't mr harper said that she is engaged." Elijah looked at mr investor (sorry i cant came with a name haha) "Yeah with me." with that saying Elijah got up from his seat leaving everyone shocked "abigail bring me the smoothy i asked before im leaving guys hope we can have a nice business togethter." He take his from table and nod at pal and start walking to the glass door.

Gabi was drinking her drink but suddenly she split it on Nate. "What the f.." Before he completed his words, a person stood infront of him and he immediately stopped "Elijah knight", Nate said in a little high pitched voice. Bella was already looking at him and shocked to see him there and stay still without knowing what to do. Her friends were confused about why he was there and why he was looking at Bella. Elijah's eyes caught Daniel's hand, which was casually resting on Bella's back seat. That was really casual, but Elijah didn't like it somehow. He put his hand in front of Bella to take her hand. She looked at everyone and slowly stood up while putting her hand on Elijah's hand. He held it firmly.

"Hmm, the parcel." Abigail handed you a paper bag which contained something but you don't know what. You took it while looking at them confusingly and looked back at Elijah, who was talking on call with someone a few feet away, and looked back at Abigail. "Hello nice to meet you again." You said and smiled at her, but her stare was hard, which made you uncomfortable. "Wish i could say the same." She said it so bitterly that you taken a back, you didn't accpect it at all. "Excuse me" You questioned still looking surprised. "Yeah exactly that i want excuse you and that's not the only thing why don't you excuse yourself from Elijah too." and that all you needed to understand whats going on, you clearly have seen her behavior yesterday too. How hateful she looked when Elijah asked her to leave, but that is not the point right now. How could she insult you like that you take a step forward towards her, and look straight at her eyes. "First of all, it's 'SIR' for you, not Elijah. Second, don't forget your place and, third and very important, don't you dare to talk to me like that. You'll not like the consequences." She instantly looked shocked and her eyes flashed through her nervousness, but she decided to act tough. "Elijah never asked me to call him sir whenever we fucked." and that is the end of your confidence and a mountain of strange feelings flowed down your heart.and before you can think of anything else a hand sneck into your waist and you don't have to looked at it to know who is it and Abigails expression changed into second. "Whats that?" Elijah asked looking at the paper bag. "smoothy" Abigail answer sweetly. "Oh i ordered this for you" Elijah said to you and take out the smoothy from the bag and put the strow in the lid. Abigail's sweet smile was wiped from her face. "Abihail cancelled all the meetings that I have for today." with that, he slightly pushed you to walk toward his car.

What are you feeling right now? You don't even know all your hope for a better life is over. You can't do this. Is it worth marrying a guy who is f*****g his secretary? It means when he said yesterday that he has no one that was a lie or, maybe they are fuckbody, but to what extent? Are they still doing that s**t even after this arrangement? afcorce they are that's why she behaved that way but why Elijah didn't show any emotion toward her whats going on. "Where you wanna go?" "Home" the word come out of your mouth without even your intention but that is what you want. Going home crying your heart out and, preparing yourself to get through a f****d up wedding, your eyes welled up with tears and before it fell down, you turn your head towards the window. " OK, let's go. My father is coming to your home and asked me to join him anyway." you nodded without looking at him and he started the engine. He is quite confused because you were smiling a few minutes before and asked him what he was doing at the restaurant, but now what happened to you suddenly?

The moment he stops the car, you kind of run to your house after getting out of the car. Elijah was looking at you and he didn't miss the way your hand reached your face to wipe your checks off. Is she crying? This was the first question that came to his mind. He got out of the car and entered the house. A servant was already standing at the door to direct him to where to go. "Oh Elijah son, you have come already. Bella had also arrived just a second ago. She went to her room to freshen up. " Elijah nodded his head and decided not to disclose the fact that they had already met yesterday and come together today. They started some business-related conversation but Elijah's mind was on you.

"Oh you come. You take so much time. Bella, come here and sit there." Your mom said as soon as you entered the living room. She pointed toward the seat next to Elijah. You didn't say anything, and just sat there without looking at Elijah. He was feeling uneasy about what had happened to you. And your father started introducing you to Elijah and his parents. His mother complimented you about how beautiful you are. You smiled at her because she was looking genuine. On the other hand, his father has a cold expression. You don't know why it looked like someone killed his dog, but you decide not to get affected because maybe he also doesn't like you. Maybe he likes Abigail, but wait, he is the one who proposed for the wedding, right?. " We decided to get done with the engagement next month." you looked at his dad with a expression which looked like someone had killed your dog too.

After so much discussion, they finalized the date and the whole time Elijah was looking at you for some kind of emotion which he himself didn't know. But he was taken back and not only he but everyone when his father asked you "Bella, why I feel like you don't want to get married?". Like what the f**k, everyone knows that not you and not Elijah, both of you don't want to get married but have to just because of business, but didn't you both agree to cooperate? You want to shout out in everyone's face that no you don't want to, but a look from your mother and you know what to do, you smile at him. "I'm just overwhelmed. I'm okay, just a little nervous." He doesn't look like he is convinced, but who cares, at least not you, because at this point, looking at your parents' happy faces and how good they are at pretending that they are happy makes you want to puke. A maid came in to say that dinner would be served in 15 minutes. You excused yourself, but before you got out of there, Elijah stopped you. " I want to talk to her." He said, looking at your father and, your mother instantly stood up. " Yeah, yeah, you can both go upstairs." You looked at her somehow madly, because if she even saw you with a boy she'll react like you did some sin and now sending a man upstairs with you, so what if he is going to be your husband, he is not your husband right now, without turning to Elijah you started walking toward upstair. He was now getting mad at your behavior.

The moment you entered your room, Elijah turned you harshly toward him. "What the hell?" you shouted because of the sudden act. " What happened?" his voice was ice cold. " I'll ask you one more and last time and if you don't answer, you'll not like the consequence." you try to loose his grip from your hand but his hold got tight at that point which hurts. "You are hurting me" you looked at him with your scared eyes. What's going on? He doesn't look like the man who you met yesterday or today at noon anymore. " Bella". It's like a warning you didn't hold back and answer back "What are you angry at? Are you getting late to get back to the office? " He looked at you confused. " But is not it already the time to close the office?" You didn't stop. Now you are fuming, how dare he, after telling lies and giving false hopes. Now he is pretending that something is wrong with you, and you are more angry at yourself than him because of the way you are behaving. It's not like he is cheating on you because, for that, you have to have a relationship with him which you don't have. You don't have any right to get mad at him, but still here you are getting mad the s**t out of you. "Or maybe your work starts with your secretary after everyone gets back home." This statement makes Elijah hold loose on you and you harshly your snatch your hand from him. "Don't you dare to touch me again with your filthy hands "

"Let's postpone the engagement, dad." Elijah spoke after settling himself in bed. His dad got silent on the other side of the phone. "I already told you that if you didn't get married you'd lose your position in the company." " I'm not saying that i don't want to get married. I'm just asking you to postpone the engagement. Let's have it at least 3 months later. We need to know each other before the commitment." his dad didn't even take a second before answering. "Get engaged and do whatever you guys want to do." and cut the call Elijah sign in defeat. He was so angry after Bella's confession about what she thought about him. He didn't say anything, not even what she was trying to say, because he understood already that you knew about him and Abigail. He knew how absurd it was to get involved with his secretary in that kind of stuff, but he didn't do it purposely and he was so angry after the realization that Abigail might have said something to Bella when he was talking on the phone. He didn't file a complaint against her for taking advantage of him in a drunk state, because he was no saint. He was maybe not in his right mind that time, but he knew all the time that she was Abigail, but his mind was not working that time, but now that everything was messed up he knew what to do.
