Chapter 3 - Mate

THEODORE

I looked at her when she was about to say something until my mother linked me.

“Theo I need you to help the others train today, Damien isn’t here to do it as he’s out. I’m sure he will cover your shift on Monday. I also need to talk to you about your birthday, and the girls I will let you encounter tomorrow” she casually announced

“Mum, I thought I made it clear that instead of you finding me a mate I would let fate decide it, as this will make me stronger and my pack stronger when I take over as alpha” I said a bit annoyed.

“Whatever you say Theodore” she closed the link immediately.

It’s not that my mother doesn’t approve of the mate bond given by the moon goddess, it is purely because she doesn’t want it to be someone with lower power to say it so nicely, she wants someone that will look presentable and be able to stand next to me and look pretty, however, I do not want that.

I want someone who can be my equal.

I came out of my thoughts and I saw that she was staring at me. I smiled at her and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear. I broke the silence first.

“What is your name little wolf “ I said softly.

“Tiffany Faye” she said so quietly that a human ear would not have picked it up.

“You have a very nice name” I whispered in here ear, sending goosebumps down her body. I loved to see her body react to me like that.

“I’m Theodore Cam..” but before I could finish she cut me off.

“I know who you are Theo” she responded with a soft voice. God she had such a cute voice. It was sexy to hear her say my same. I Raised and eye brow at her at being so formal with me.

“I’m so sorry, Theodore I mean, I didn’t mean to be rude, please forgive me Alpha” She must have acknowledged my eye brow as a sign that I wasn’t happy , but that wasn’t the case. In fact I was amused.

“No need to apologise Tiffany” I reply in a soft voice.

TIFFANY

The way he said my name made my heart skip a beat.. I really should get going soon, it’s already 16:00 and I need to start cleaning again if I’m wanting to leave at 11.

I clear my throat and stand back a little to breathe.

“I really should get going” I announce

To my surprise he let me go, he gave me a smile and a nod and moved to the side to let me past.

I stayed put in my spot for a while before finally walking past him taking in his scent.

“We should do this again some time” he shouts at me as I’m half way out of the door

I don’t turn around but smile while walking away.

Room too room, I went in, cleaned and came back out, I didn’t know how fast I was doing it but I was in schedule time.

SOME TIME LATER after finishing the rooms

It was finally half 10 and I had just finished my last room, I didn’t know how fast to get out of there but I was hoping I would see Theodore again before I left and to my surprise as I was walking down the stairs there he was sitting on the kitchen counter with his back to me.

I realised he was only in his black ripped jeans and no top and I could see the way his muscles were on his back and I think I already have a puddle in my panties.

“Wipe your drool baby before you make a mess on the floor” he said in a low growl

I didn’t notice he turned around until my eyes met his, he obviously caught me staring . Now his 6 pack was on view and I was trying my very best not to look down.

He walked over towards me, as he was doing so I took steps back until my back hit the wall, he put both hands at the side of my head and stared intently into my eyes, he lowered his head and gave me a kiss. It wasn’t as demanding as before more soft and gentle. He was trying to show me that he wasn’t here to hurt me.

My wolf was purring in my head

He pulled away, and looked at me once more before turning away from me,

Leaving me there stuck in place breathless like I had just ran a marathon.

I walked out of the kitchen and out of the main doors and when the fresh air hit me and Instantly cooling down my hot body, I took a deep breath to clam my self. I stood there for a while before walking before I heard Matt

“Hey Tiffany, where have you been? It’s half 11, I’ve been waiting for you”

“Oh hey Matt, I’m so sorry I got.. held up” I try to say but he didn’t look like he believed me but didn’t push me for an explanation

“You ready” he plays it off

“For what?”

“Our date of course” he said with a wink

“And what are we doing” I replied with a big grin

“Now that would ruin the surprise beautiful”

Don’t get my wrong, I love Matt, we’ve been together for 4 years and he is so sweet and I am sure he will be my mate but he hasn’t made me feel like the way Theo made my feel .. I feel sort of bad that I don’t feel that sort of attraction to him, he doesn’t make my heart skip a beat or turn me on with just standing there.. let’s not forget.. I kissed someone else.

Me and Matt arrived at our destination and to say it was stunning was an understatement, there was a blanket placed on the ground and there was a picnic basket in the middle, with 2 plates and food surrounding it, it was so pretty with all of the colours of the fruit mixed together. I stared at it with awe. It was completely amazing no one had ever taken me on a date like this before. We were on top of a cliff so from this night up we could see all the lights from the pack house and the separate houses and even the human town, I loved it.

MATT

She looked at the scenery in front of her and the smile would not leave her face. I couldn’t wait for her to realise I was her mate. I had been waiting 4 years, 4 years to lose my virginity with her and I’ve gotten nothing but a kiss, to say I was frustrated is an understatement. But I am willing to wait for her, I seriously can’t wait for her to wake up in 2 days and smell me. When we first met we instantly just clicked with each other and the connection just bounced off of both of us and it was just so easy with her. And she is gorgeous which is definitely a bonus.

“Like it” I said looking at her

Without looking at me at first she replied with a nod.

“I love it Matt, definitely amazing, thankyou so much for doing this for me”

We sat down and ate and before long it was almost 1 in the morning , we had lost track of time, Matt dropped me off home and I watched as he pulled away. I quickly made it up the steps to my house and quietly made it into my house, into my bedroom without waking my mum.

THEODORE

I wake up excited to find my mate, I do hope she is in the pack because as soon as I find my mate i will be given the title of alpha and will be stronger and faster.

I get ready and make my way down stairs to a house full of she wolves and I already know this is my mother’s doing , I sigh and roll my eyes and immediately link my mother

“What is this” I say quite harshly

“Now lower that tone young man, I am still Luna of this pack, I want to find you the perfect Luna”

I ignore her and quickly walk out of the pack house unnoticed and make my way to the spot I love the most. I decide to run there and let my wolf out instead of taking my car.

I get there and I take in the scenery. Each time I come here I love it, there’s a walk way made of wood and it extends mid way of the lake. The lake is huge and covers half of the place but it’s still peaceful. As I shift back into my human form i am hit with this amazing smell. Of strawberries and candy floss and Gavin is instantly purring in my head. I notice a girl sitting on the end of the walk way with her feet dangling over, I make my way over and notice she is reading a book. With my enhanced eye sight I realise it’s Wuthering heights and I get a hear of her voice, she’s reading a passage out of the book

“And he will never know how much I love him, not because he’s good looking ” I heard her saying in her sweet angelic voice

“But because he’s more myself than I am” I finish the sentence and I see her tense as she turns around slowly and I am met with her big brown eyes once again.

The only thing that comes out of my mouth next only makes me continue to stare into my eyes and shiver
