The professor's voice drones on as she explains plant reproduction to the class. Every now and then, she'll go to the chalkboard to draw some diagrams of donuts - multiplying, splitting and separating - to illustrate the lesson. Andy replicates the drawings in her notebook with uncharacteristic devotion, obsessing with the roundness of her donut cells, to take off her mind from Trae and their "fishing expedition.” She mindlessly copies everything the professor scrawls on the board, without understanding a word that she says.
