A dark night

It was around midnight, it was dark around, and a small girl who was studying middle school was waking alone on that road, the lamps were glowing alternatively making the road a little scary for her, the sound of the owl echoed everywhere, the night breeze touches her red hair gently, suddenly she feels someone is following her in that night, she moves, thinking it’s her imagination but suddenly someone keeps her hand at her shoulder she turns with fear, it was a handsome boy with his milky white earpodes and his white bright face!!, he said her" what are you doing in this night alone?"

"no, I’m walking home after my tuition, " she said with her pale face, he asked with a concerned face, "Why don’t you have someone accompanying you this night?","I don’t have parents or a family or a friend, because people think they don't need me, as I'm useless and I don't speak much, so that's why I’m all alone,"

He took out his sandwich and shared a piece, and they both walked together talking and sharing stuff about themselves, she asked his name, "I'm Joseph, and you are.."

"I'm Mariam, a high school student", " It was a cute intro ms. Mariam. He asked about her friends and she said that there were none for her to call as friends, he became a little sad and she asked him not to worry about it because she got used to it.

Their conversations echoed the dark night. suddenly it started raining, and they both stood under a tree for shelter. that time, the boy said," See, our meeting is like a magical meeting, and our conversation started suddenly and so the rain, everything suddenly and now we need to part ways suddenly, but it's a memorable time with an unknown person".Mariam replied by drying herself using her kerchief," maybe our meeting is sudden, we will part ways as you said but the time we had today never fades, this the best time I have ever had in my life, someone to accompany me is my long time wish, it's will be very weird to hear that I have no one to accompany and to remove my loneliness but the fact is many are feeling lonely even when people are around them, I'm far better than them, I loved my own company, self-love and I'm proud about a fact that no one can call me their ex ?"

"you are very different than I thought, interesting..., how come people don't like you, I can't believe it, no one to call you an ex? Seems like you are active on social media, then how you are useless, very suspicious activity" he fell in the rain and Mariam started to laugh." And I don't know, till now, why people hate me, Mariam said and helped him to get up from the water, It was romantic, she was never happy about her life, and she never laughed wholeheartedly but that night she laughed, she enjoyed someone’s company!!. When they were about to part ways, the boy sat on his knees and said, "I’m sorry, I’m in love with a girl, but she didn’t accept my love, so I thought you were her friend when I saw you at the road I mistook you as her friend, I can’t leave you alone this night, so I didn’t want to walk away, but anyway sorry, I’m a selfish person". The girl replied with her tears, "Whatever your intention was!!, I loved your company I was happy in my life for the first time, it’s sad that we are parting ways, anyway thanks!!,they both parted ways!!!

The girl couldn't control her tears when she heard that he was already in love with someone else, and she lost all her hope of love again."It was a good walk … With my first love ❤️, but it is a one-sided love" she said to herself and went home. That girl felt a stronger connection with him than anyone else. Is it love or just an infatuation or a crush or... who knows it??

From then on, she went on that same road at the same time, waiting for him, at least to see him, but she couldn't see him. She started living her life with the hope that one day she'll find him. When will that day be?

She finished her schooling and entered college. To her surprise, she was loved by everyone, she found many friends there, and college life was beautiful, many approached her but he couldn't forget Joseph. "Can one day meet, be unforgettable, actually it was only a few hours, how come a person remembers it, Mariam let go of him, you are pretty and young, the air is fresh, come on don't live in the past, accept it and move on.." her friend Sivi patted her shoulder saying this!!

She never listened to these talks, she ignored them and moved away, she always thought about that dark night, that darkness brought brightness to her, her friend always said to her.

She went to him, he saw her but didn't say anything, he started the conversation," Hello Joseph, how are you? it's been so long,"

"Who are you?, I have never seen you, you mistook me for someone else, sorry!!!"

She was shattered, she knew it was Joseph, but why, did he behave like this? her heart is continuously asking her the same question!!!
