Chapter 7

Calebs POV:

Mate loves us! She really loves us.

I know Nash. I can’t believe it.

I truly can’t believe how fast everything is going with Kristie. She fell asleep on the beach waiting for Bec and Jas to get back. She is the perfect match for me. I don’t want to push things too far too fast. I needed some help to make her know how much I love her too.

“Jasper, can you and Becca go find an equestrian rescue? I need help with something.” I said through the mindlink.

“Yeah man, but can I ask why?”

“Just find one, and let me know if they have good horses there.”

“Okay boss.”

I cut off the link and called Jacob.

“Hey, I have a favor to ask.” I said.

“What’s up Alph...uh I mean Caleb.”

“That will never get old.” I said while laughing. “I need you and Desi to make some calls and buy the plot of land beside my cabin. It’s all grass and that’s what I need. Buy all 80acres and get a barn up and running within 48 hours. Think you can do it?”

“Oh my goddess, are we getting horses?”

“Your future Luna happens to love horses and she told me she loves me. I want to do anything I can to make her happy. Just get it done as quick as possible.”

“Yes sir!”

He hung up the phone quickly and I turned my attention back to my beautiful mate. She looked so peaceful sleeping. She was curled up in a ball, covered in sand. I scooped her up in my arms and sat with her in my lap. She started waking up and smiled at me.

“Well hello sleepyhead.” I said while kissing her forehead.

“How long was I out for?” She asked.

“Not long, maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Long enough for me to get a couple things done.” I winked at her.

We sat on the beach and waited for what seemed like ages. Finally Jasper and Becca came out from the woods, both of their clothes were shredded, hair was a mess and Becca looked more flustered then usual.

“What did you two do?” Kristie said enthusiastically.

“Becca and I had business to finish. But she isn’t feeling too good so I decided to stop. She isn’t happy about it.” Jasper was laughing while Becca sat on the beach and pouted.

“Well I don’t know about y’all, but I’m hungry.” I was looking at Kristie, I heard her stomach growl but I knew she wouldn’t say anything. She gave me a smile and sat up.

“Let’s go grab something then. Bec, y’all down?”

“Yeah, but can we talk for a minute? Alone?” Becca looked at Kristie with a sad expression.

“Yeah sure. Can y’all give us a minute?” She gave me a quick kiss and Jasper and I walked into the woods. I could use this time to see if he found anything for me.

Kristie’s POV:

I could tell something was wrong with Becca. I know they just had s*x again, if Jasper did anything to her, I will kill him.

“Bec, what’s going?” I asked.

“I asked Jasper to turn me, and he said no.” She paused. “I don’t think he’s happy with me as his mate.”

“I’m going to kill him. Did he tell you why?”

“Nope. He literally said no and walked away.”

Becca was crying hard and I was going to let Jasper know how I felt. She didn’t deserve to be treated that way, if she is meant to be with him, why would she be a human?

“JASPER!” I screamed.

Jaspers POV:

“Oh s**t, guess the Luna is going to tear you a new one.” Caleb said.

“Becca doesn’t understand dude. It could kill her. I can’t risk losing her.”

“Alright, I wasn’t going to tell you yet, so before you go, just listen. The Moon Goddess Selene came to me in the hospital room when Kristie was asleep. Both of them are special, they were closed for us for a reason. And she said we HAD to change them.”

“We HAVE to?” I yelled.

“It is important for the future I guess. Look, just go explain and I’ll join you in a couple minutes.” Caleb pointed towards the girls direction.

“Go on.”

I turned around and followed the low cursing and yelling and found Becca crying on the ground and Kristie pacing back and forth mumbling curse words at me.

“Before you say anything, do you realize what you did to her?” Kristie yelled. “You are acting like every other guy that she tried to get close to.”

I let out a growl without realizing it.

“Look, I wasn’t aware of the whole situation. Turning a human can kill them, and I can’t risk losing her. Becca, you have to understand. I love you, I would never do anything that could put you in harms way. You have to understand.”

Becca looked up at me with tears in her eyes. She stood up and ran to me. Her body sank into mine and I wrapped my arms around her. She cried for a few minutes and when we released, I hadn’t realized Caleb came back and joined Kristie.

“So, what do you mean by situation?” Kristie asked, still irritated. I looked at Caleb for help, but he threw his hands up in surrender.

“I am not apart of this. You started it, you need to finish it.” He said.

“So you want me to go on telling them what you told me then?” I grinned because I knew he wouldn’t want Kristie to find out from anyone but him.

“Fine! Kristie and Becca, you both will be turned if that is what you want. I told you both that you are special. I don’t know what you will become, but the Moon Goddess herself told me you will important.”

Kristie and Becca looked at each other then at us.

“When can we be turned? Does it hurt?” Kristie asked.

“I am not going to lie to you, mostly because I can’t, but yes. It hurts like hell. You will get a fever and possibly have a seizure. The seizures is what usually blows it all. Most humans can’t withstand the things it does to your body. It’s hard to explain, but you will feel like your on fire.”

Becca and Kristie grabbed hands and looked scared.

“How long does it take to happen?” Kristie asked.

“It usually lasts anywhere from 12 to 18 hours. But we will both be right there with you. Would you want to do it at the same time to make it easier? Would that help?” Jasper looked at Becca with worried eyes.

“I think being together will def help. Bambi and Thumper, bestties no matter what right?” Becca looked at Kristie.

“Right.” Kristie hugged Becca then turned to me.

“So when should this happen?”

“Well, you two would have to move with us to our pack house... In Georgia.”

“You mean we get to leave this place? f**k yeah!” Becca yelled.

“Hang on babe, Kristie, how does that sound?” I asked.

“It sounds great to me. I need a fresh start, and I think a change or scenery is just I need.” She said.

“I will go get the car. Wanna join me?” I asked Becca, she simply smiled and took my hand.

Calebs POV:

Jasper and Becca just went to get the car when my phone started ringing.

“Caleb, we have the barn delivered, and the fence is being put up as speak. The sale went very smoothly and we got it for 30% less then market value.” Jacob said excitedly.

“Thankyou Jacob. We are going to look at horses today or tomorrow then we will be on our way home. She accepted her role and so did Becca. Please make sure everything is right. I will send you details on her horse so you can get what she needs, and if she finds one she wants, I will need you and Desi to come with a trailer fo rhim..”

“Sounds good. We will talk soon.”

Jacob hung up the phone and I turned my attention back to Kristie. She was sitting by the waters edge staring at her reflection.

“Do you think I will be good for your pack?”

She spoke out to the water. The question was directly pointed towards me, but she seemed like she was talking to herself.

“You are going to be perfect, my little mate.”

As I spoke, Jasper and Becca pulled into the beach to pick us up.

“So are we going to your pack now?” Kristie asked.

Jasper and I looked at each other and smiled. He had texted me a few minutes prior and told me he found a rescue with quite a few horses. That’s where we were headed.

“We have one stop to make first. Then we will head home.”

Kristie laid her head on my lap and fell asleep. When she woke up, she was going to be so happy. I couldn’t wait to see her reaction.
