Chapter 2

Kristie’s POV:  We clocked out and headed to our car. Turns out Jasper waited for us leave and also, he drove the Rolls Royce. So when did he get back? Who drove that lambo? Too many questions for one night. Go figure. Becca was freaking out the entire car ride home. “He couldn’t be serious, could he? He barely knows me! I’m not worth the trouble. I highly doubt he will even be there tomorrow.” She said disappointed. “Dude, did you not see what happened? And besides, he technically gave you his number. When we get home, I’ll pour us a glass of wine and we will text him.” I looked at her and paused. “Together, I’m not letting you say anything stupid.” I was laughing when I said the last part. She glared at me and looked out the window. “I feel like we are being followed.” “There is no one behind us. I think your paranoid from that guy earlier.” And with that, we drove the rest of the way in silence. Becca stared out the window looking at the mirror. We arrived home and went inside. Becca locked the front door and double checked the back door. She was overly paranoid. Or maybe she knew something I didn’t?  I went to the kitchen while Becca was getting in her pajamas. I poured us each a glass of wine, a big one and packed the bong with enough left over to pack once more. I went and changed myself and came back to see Becca chugging her wine. “Slow down there killer.” She jumped as if she didn’t know I was there. “I’m sorry, I’m just anxious. That guy really freaked me out. His eyes were black. And Jasper. Well I don’t even know where to begin with that.” She finished her wine and looked at me worried. “Do you think Jasper is going to accept me?” That was it. She had a lot of health problems and she was usually broken up with over them. Multiple reasons behind it, s*x related, attitude, not feeling well a lot, sleeping a lot, etc. She never felt like she was enough, and I knew that. Even if she didn’t show or say it. “Jasper obviously sees something in you. Just give it time. And besides, he is a gentleman. You don’t usually go for those types so maybe this will be good for you.” She pulled out his card and handed it to me. “What exactly does it say? I haven’t even looked at it.” I looked at it and noticed it was blank on one side and only his number written in small writing on the bottom corner. I smiled and gave it back to her. “Just text him already!” I shoved her playfully and she smiled. “What do I even say?” She said as she typed his number in her phone. “Just say hey, it’s Becca and leave it at that. Hopefully he will give something to go off.” “Okay, who knows? Maybe he gave me a fake number.” “Quit being so down and send it!” She waiting a good minute before she hit send. She gave a sign of relief once she sent it. “See? Was that so hard?” I said while pouring more wine. “No I guess not.” She said while giggling. Yes, the wine was working.Within two minutes, Jasper texted back.“ Hey beautiful, I’m happy you finally texted me. I was worried. Did you make it home safe?” She looked at me with wide eyes and a huge smile. She texted him back but I didn’t see what she said. With in twenty or minutes or so they were texting nonstop, and talking like they were long lost friends. “I think I’m going to take this to my room. I’ll see you in the morning?” Becca said while heading to her room. “Yes ma’am! See you in the morning. Try not to stay up too late.” I plugged my phone in to charge in the kitchen and I winked at her and went in my room. I turned on my bedside light and when I closed the door and immediately felt a breeze. I saw my window was open, but I didn’t remember opening it at any point before work. I quickly closed it and got under the covers. I turned off the light and closed my eyes. Becca’s POV: Jasper and I texted for hours. We talked about everything. I felt the connection and I couldn’t help but wonder if he was something else. I had read heard stories of the supernatural, I mean, who hasn’t? But he wasn’t like anything I had heard about. He seemed like your normal type of person. Except he was built like a Greek god. He was tall, maybe 6’3 or 6’4, had long black hair that he had in a bun, covered in tattoos, I mean literally, neck to foot. Well atleast from what I saw. I wanted to ask him because my mind was telling me to, but I didn’t want to scare him off.  I wasn’t much, Im only 5’3, black and purple hair to above my breasts, but my breasts are perky and my ass isn’t bad. I was just worried that wouldn’t be enough. We had so much in common, it was scaring me. I asked if we could meet for an early breakfast because I couldn’t sleep and I wanted to ask him. He agreed but said he was bringing his friend Caleb with him. I told him that was fine and quickly changed. We were only meeting ten minutes away at the Waffle House, turns out, him and his friends were staying at a hotel close to our house. I grabbed my things and went of out of my bedroom. I got to the front door and forgot my jacket.  I saw Kristie’s hanging at the door so I took hers instead. I knew she wouldn’t mind. I quickly left and began walking down the sidewalk. About five minutes into my walk, I realized I had forgotten my phone. I always forget things.I started to walk faster because I had no way to reach anyone if something happened, thankfully we were close to everything. I saw Waffle House approaching and I saw the green Lambo sitting in the parking lot. Caleb must be the one who drove it.  I finally made it into the parking lot and saw Jasper sitting next to man who was almost identical to him. His body language was slightly more serious and his hair was black and short on the sides with it slicked back on top. He was also covered head to toe in tattoos. He was almost intimidating. I took Kristie’s jacket off, put it in my bag andI walked inside and Jasper and I immediately made eye contact. He stood up and when I made it to the table, he took my hand and kissed it. I blushed and sat down. He went to sit beside me, but I pointed towards the seat next to Caleb because I had questions. He sat down quickly and looked at me with a grin. “I know you have questions. And I will answer them. That is why I brought Caleb, he can answer some things I can’t.” It was like he read my mind. “Why do I feel this connection with you? And why do I feel like.” I paused, I didn’t want to sound crazy. “You can say it.” Again, it was like he read my mind. “I feel like you aren’t human.” I looked down at the table as the waitress brought coffee to the table. Caleb and Jasper looked at each other and smiled. “You have a smart mate, Jasper. She will be good as our Beta.” Caleb said. “Dude, shut up, she doesn’t know anything yet.” Jasper seemed worried. “So what are you then? The way your talking, you have a system and not many supernatural beings have those except werewolves... Wait a minute, are y’all?” I had to cut myself off, even I thought I was crazy. “Okay, before you freak out, yes, we are werewolves. My wolfs name is Eddie and Calebs in called Nash. But it’s complicated and we are still trying to figure out how your feeling all this since your human.” Jasper said. “I wanna know everything! Please! But wait, you didn’t answer my first question. Why do I feel such a strong connection to you? And why were there sparks and tingles when we looked at each other and when we touched?” I probably sounded like a child. “Caleb, help me out here.” “Well, Becca, werewolves have a thing called Mates. We have a Moon Goddess named Selene who selects special people for us, they are our mates. They can be anyone, supernatural or human, but humans don’t feel the mate pull like others and obviously you do.” He paused and smiled at me. Then I looked at Jasper who was red as lobster. “You’re my mate, Becca. And if you accept me, those sparks will be even more then that. But you have to see my wolf first. And there are few other things but we will cross that bridge when we get there.” I didn’t even need to see it, I was ready to accept him already, but Caleb said he was a Beta? “Can we figure out how I feel it? What’s a Beta? And how would I be a Beta female?” I asked. “Slow down love. I’m Calebs second hand. I help him with anything he needs. I basically control everything he doesn’t.” He said laughing. Caleb punched his arm playfully. “You would become the Beta female which means you would be the same except it would be for the Luna.” “What is a Luna? I’m lost.”Jasper and Caleb laughed at that comment. “Caleb is the Alpha, he runs our pack. We are called the Blue Moon Pack. He runs pretty much everything. Our pack consists of almost five hundred people. We live in Georgia, but we have a few hotels here that we own.” I made an O shape with my mouth when the waitress came up. I wasn’t really hungry so I ordered another cup of coffee to go. I took out the jacket from my bag and put it on. When I did, Calebs eyes hazed over to almost white and then Jaspers did. Jasper started smiling and looked at me. “I think we may have found Calebs mate.” “WHAT? No way! Kristie?” “Is that her name?” Caleb asked. “Yeah, she’s my bestfriend. We moved here together after some s**t went down with her ex a year ago.” “Caleb, well I’m sure she’s asleep dude. Just wait til they get to work.” Jasper said. “No can do, Nash wants out now, and I don’t really wanna stop him.” “I’m telling you now, she is very sensitive when it comes to men. She has a lot of internal and external scars and they haven’t healed yet. Just don’t rush with her and I will explain with you this whole thing to her after she’s met you.” I said. Caleb stood up next to Jasper and I realized he was even taller. He has to be at least 6’6. Kristie was an inch shorter then me. This was going to be interesting. Caleb pulled out his wallet and left a hundred dollar bill on the table and we left.
