Song Recommendation: Wild thoughts by Rihanna Thoughts and dreams . Three powerful concepts of mankind. Yet mankind is not powerful enough to gaurd and control them! “Gloomy today are we, My Lord?” Mister Shaw commented as he unlocked his hefty briefcase and began sorting through files “A drink?” Orion offered as he poured two glasses of brandy, ignoring the older man’s intruding questions. Shaw had been there for him through the ordeal of loosing his family, Shaw had stood and took care of all legal matters and business. Orion trusted him, but he wasn’t about to babble on about his love life or the lack thereof. “Certainly your Grace, my thanks” he said accepting the drink and Orion nodded in reply “How the mine investments moving” Orion asked lunged in his chair across from Shaw. “Splendidly My Lord, Tis a shame you haven’t been in London to see the progress for yourself” Shaw said presenting him with some papers and documents for review and signing “ I trust it is in good hands, though I believe before the season is out I would be in London” he replied earning a look from the older man “ The Earl of Mordbridge is not so pleased by your recent actions that have led to his broken engagement” Shaw commented Orion let a small smile play on his lips as he signed the documents “ He sends his regards finally, it’s been too long.. and Lord Beckett ?” Shaw watched him thoughtful trying to read his expression “ No public acknowledgment from him yet but I’m guessing we would hear from him soon” Shaw replied “I thought so” was Orions reply, he c****d his head “Begin arrangements, it seems London bells are ringing” he told Shaw and bent to complete the task before him. “As you wish, your grace” the news of his nuptials to Artemis had taken its sweet time getting across London but now it has finally reached the people that he intended for the news to reach. He would seat tight and watch it all play out, whatever happened from now, he wouldn’t let them touch her. Her swore to protect her and he would. She was playing the hide and seek game. Not that he bothered to seek her out in any case. Artemis sighed, a new habit she couldn’t help, she sat in a hot bath, her fourth of the day, eating strawberry jellies and humming to herself. She would go out okay, just not now, but as soon as she confirmed he was far away from her destination, she had thought of hiding away in the library were she could have the smell of the books for comfort but that was to close to his study were he could possibly be waiting to pounce, and the other library, well she simply could never see it the same way. Much less settle down to read in it without remembering big hands tangled in her hair. She couldn’t risk meeting him with her thoughts all in a jumble what would she say to him. “ Hey Husband, care to refresh my languishing memory on what happened between us in the library?” She groaned into her palms. She had to be in control of herself and her emotions when she faced him and right now she wasn’t quite ready. Jules had come in to assist her as she dressed in a maroon Muslim frock and braided her hair in a long woven ponytail. She dined in her rooms and fought the urge to request for another hot bath. It was getting alarming. Much later on, when she had inquired as to to his whereabouts that evening and had been told that his grace had left and wouldn’t be back for a while. she wore his leather jacket quickly and left her room headed nowhere exactly, she was barefoot and her gentle footsteps echoed in the hall bright with candle lights, she walked pass his study and the library and every other room and as she mounted the steps her feet carried her across all flights of stairs up to the roof grounds, and to the very spot he had brought her before where they had drunk wine, where he had made her smile and laugh and where she had dared reach for him and embrace him. She had been carried away by his sweet words and gestures and the thought that he hadn’t even meant them almost made her choke. Being here in his jacket without him seemed wrong and that was disturbing, at every turn she could almost feel him, smell him, hear him call her by her name. she closed her eyes, and let the mild wind toss her hair in her face, the sight from up here was as beautiful as always she looked down and could make out the whole villa up to the borders, was this what freedom felt like, freedom would mean she could hide out here from the ton and from society and all of its expectations forever? She wished she could, she would have really loved to, now that one thought about it, she could never be completely free though, she could never be free from him. Did she want to be? in a short time he had imprinted himself on her every memory . Those vaguely familiar green eyes plagued her every waken moment. And dream
