Song Recommendation: Die for you by the weekend A Duchess and her Duke, the most powerful pair, A dukes hands, the most sturdy limbs.. “ I’m not a child your grace , and I’m most certainly not a doll, I don’t fit into this perfect little box of yours, this box you’ve created to order your chaotic world. I have to grow else I would wither and die” he shook his head reaching for her. and she Stepped out of his reach. “I am your wife , your equal, your mate” and she was, despite the circumstances surrounding their marriage, despite their differences in this very moment she was despite his maddening behavior, it was the first time she had admitted to even herself how she truly felt. “So you can either let me hunt, with you,let me grow, let me out, let me live and breathe and make my own decisions, or cage me and let me perish” “Artemis—“ he tried to say something but didn’t know what. “If you do not intend to call of your hounds, I request I be left in peace” she went back to the bed, her silent dismissal a heavy blow to his gut. He wouldn’t be dismissed so easily he walked closer to the bed. “The shewsbury anniversary is fast approaching, would you prefer I gift you rubies or diamonds” he spoke to her like they were good friends. Daft man couldn’t read the room “ I would prefer if you did not speak to me at all your grace” she said and this time, he took the b****y hit of dismissal leaving in his wake lemons and sandalwood to assault her nostrils. She woke to a cart full of strawberry jellies and immediately knew who had sent them. She smiled then frowned , did he think strawberry jellies made up for her freedom and will? If those were his thoughts then he was so wrong and she would show him just how wrong it was. she sighted a note in the cart It read: “Dismissed your shadows, I trust you” Oh! she flung the covers and ran to door opening it to an empty hallway, true to his word, the armed guards were gone. No more strange men barging into her room to inquire of her well being at the slightest noise. She stalked back to the bed and read the note again. And again, smiling wildly. He had no idea what this meant to her. At the bottom of the note it was signed GH and not O for Orion. GH, meaning gentleman husband! She smiled, giggling to herself, she note had been written in sure strokes by an elegant sturdy hand. It was the most romantic thing she had ever seen, and she almost wept with happiness at his way of expressing that he cared for her.she tucked the note under the pillow, she knew what she must do, it was long over due. With this thought she got about to doing her toilette, she rang for jules as she unwrapped one strawberry jelly and popped into her mouth. She would go to him, she decided. She would go to him and she would tell him she was ready. That since he could trust her then she could trust him to, with everything, her body no exception.
