Lauren didn’t even realize she was screaming until her throat started burning. “GO, GO, GO—OH MY GOD, LARRY!” The entire stadium was on its feet. The buzzer blared. Larry’s teammates swarmed him, sticks flying, helmets knocking together in an explosion of chaos. Lauren? She absolutely lost her mind. Jumping, yelling, flailing—at one point, she was literally shaking random strangers around her. “That’s my husband!” she screeched, pointing at Larry like no one else knew who he was. “DO YOU SEE HIM? THAT’S MY HUSBAND.” The guy next to her, clearly a hardcore fan, just laughed. “Damn, you might love him more than we do.” Lauren whirled on him, eyes wild. “I DO.” When the camera panned to her on the jumbotron—mid-shriek, arms flailing—the entire arena erupted.
