"Awaken"

I woke up the next day.....

I couldn't believe I slept till the morning. It was better because it wasn't raining yet, though the clouds were dense and opaque. I remembered yesterday "Stephan Salvatore spoke to me". This prompted me to take my diary and write:

Dear diary,

" People are born, they grow old and they die.That's the world we live in. There's no magic, no mysticism, no immortality. There I'm nothing that defiles natural thought". I smile, and it will be believeable. My smile will say "I'm fine, thank you. Yes, I feel much better" I will no longer be the sad little girl that lost her mom. I will start fresh here in Beaumont, be someone new.

My dad has already gone to work already, but he had made breakfast. I took my bath and in a few minutes I was already set for school. All my mind thinking was to see Stephan again.

"Hi Elena". Chloe called me.

"Hi. Chloe" How was your night" I asked her as we walked toward our class.

"It was fine though, yours?" she asked.

"Yeah, same as yours, I guess".

"I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw you with Stephan Salvatore!! What did you to him" He never do talk to any girl in the school. This got everyone wondering" She said.

This got me more paranoid because him choosing to talk to me left questions in my mind which I was going to ask him today. I could also sense jealousy in Chloe's speech.

"Well... I don't kno he might have his reasons to talk to me I guess".

Then we were interrupted by Vickie. Vickie is a nice girl met her yesterday at Art class. She talks nicely and I was going to take her as a friend. Chloe was the hottest girl in Beaumont High School.

"Elena, Chloe how are you doing? let's get to class we will be having Biology this morning.

Vickie interrupted.

"Hi Vickie..." I and Chloe chorused together.

We went to class then to our various seats waiting for the teacher to come in.

I was wondering where could Stephan be. We were meant to have Biology together this morning, but I couldn't find him so I was worried.

Someone then tapped me at the back. We could it be? But Bryan.

"Hello Elena"---

"Hi Bryan. How've you been?" I asked.

He was shy this time and kept and unhappy face which I already knew why.

" I waited for you yesterday- b- ut unf-ortuna-tely, I couldn't find you but found you with Stephan" He stammered

I didn't know what to say but...

"I'm so so sorry Bryan"

" No problem Elena, anytime you need my help just let me know" He said then Left.

The teacher came in.

"Today we will emphasis on the topic "CELLS". Mr. Kingsley started his lecture. Through out that day I wasn't myself. I tried checking on his brothers at other departments, they weren't at school also. I was worried.

My sit was next to the window. I was busy looking outside as the teacher lectures. I was less concerned about the lecture rather I was concerned about Stephan.

"Can I make an inquiry on someone who's absent from school" I asked Vickie.

"Yeah you can, is there a problem with someone?" Vickie responded.

"No not at all I just thought about it so I felt I should ask you" I lied

Mrs.Scot!!!. Mr. Peterson caught me talking with Vickie.

"What were you discussing about Mrs.scot?"

" Nothing sir" I lied

He then made me solve questions on the board which I solved correctly.

He was shocked as well as all other students in the maths class.

STEPHAN'S POV

(this scene shows Stephan and his brothers running in Lait forest, Beaumont downs. Suddenly, they stopped as they sighted and Antelope)

"Living as a Vampire isn't an easy task for thousands of years feeding on blood". Elijah the eldest brother said.

" I'll go for this blood, because I wouldn't love to eat up people on the street.

"Wait!! Let Stephan go. Elijah concluded.

"Ok brother" Stephan replied.

Stephan moved at high speed; one of the powers of a Vampire, snapped the antelope at the neck and began to feed from the neck. The two brothers joined. This scene was horrific as the Salvatore brothers thirst for blood.

vickie and i strolled around the school then she took me to an empty class so we could read.

"why don't we just go to the library?" i urged her.

"well i thought you don't want to be gawked by other students, so let's just read here for few hours then we can go home, trust me this place is safe". vickie said.

i did not know what else to say i think i should just follow her. as she was about to open the door, a fleet of birds rushed out of the room then we fell on tbe floor. our hearts raced.

"could you see what i was talking about vickie?" i changed my face towards her with fear still in me.

"i'm so sorry elena i did not expect to meet something like this here actually please forgive me for stressing you" vickie said.

"i'm not mad really" i lied again.

as we were about to leave an animal came out of the class and came towards vickie.

we were both scared. i couldn't shout for help because it was going to get more mad and could bite me till death so i just kept quiet but trembling tremendously as i don't know what to do as well as vickie.

as the wolf moved towards vickie, grunting like it was going to kill her, i thought of getting a stick because i could sight one.

as i attempted to run, the wolf came after me i then tripped and fell.

it was about to jump on me when i closed my eyes filled with tears then i heard a loud voice. it was vickie's. she should in a language that i didn't understand"like she was casting a spell or performing some incantations.

"esmorales viparus" vickie shouted with her hands pointing towards the wolf. then a roaring wind came forth and pushed the wolf as it was about to tear me into pieces.

the wolf fell hard on the ground and ran away so far that i couldn't see it in any instant. vickie fell on the floor and fainted.
