The next morning, I woke up feeling like a truck had run over me. My body ached from head to toe, and I was utterly exhausted. As I glanced around the room, I noticed it was filled with shopping bags from luxury brands, stuffed with clothes and accessories. The sight was almost surreal, a stark contrast to the turmoil I felt inside. Slowly, I got out of bed looking at the red stain on the sheets a reminder of what happened. I pushed the thought at the back of my mind and made my way to the grand bathroom, which was the size of my old apartment. The opulence of it all felt almost mocking.
