Chapter 2: Marking her

ISABELLA’S POV Tonight, the moon was the fullest I’ve seen in the ten months I’ve spent in this fortress. I stood quietly, gazing at it through the tall glass window, admiring its endless beauty. Its silver light poured into the room, bathing me in a calm, quiet tranquility. This is what I always do whenever the moon glows this big and bright. Its light seeps into every inch of me, easing the exhaustion in my body and calming my nerves. It's deeply relaxing—especially with the constant tension between me and Sebastian. I didn’t know how long I’d been staring at it—maybe minutes, maybe hours. Time had blurred in this place. But tonight… I felt something different. The pull inside me was heavier and deeper, like it wanted something more. I was still chained, still bruised from the cold metal wrapped around my wrists, still held captive in this twisted mansion of stone and silence—but something was changing. Not outside, not in the air. But in me. My body felt strange and listless. There was an unrecognizable heat in my veins, lurking under my skin like wildfire, and no matter how I tried to push it down, it kept on climbing. My chest tightened, my breathing grew shallow. The ache between my legs throbbed in pulses I couldn’t ignore. I squeezed my thighs together, ashamed and angry at myself. But it still wouldn’t stop. I hated Sebastian. I knew I did. I hated what he had done to me—what he had taken. I hated the chains, the cold, and the way he looked at me like he owned me. I hated how he spoke my name in a low and gentle tone. But my body didn’t listen to my hatred... not tonight. The full moon made it worse. It pressed down on me, drowning me in uncontrollable desire. No. This isn't good. My hands trembled in my lap. I couldn’t stop the way my skin craved touch—not just any touch, but his. His warm hands roaming over my body while his wet, hot lips pressed and burned into my skin. I was interrupted from my shameful thoughts when the door slowly opened again. I didn’t have to look. Of course, it was always him. His presence entered before his footsteps did—irresistible and powerful. The air changed its course when he walked in, like the room bent around his shadow. I stayed where I was, on the floor, my back pressed against the wall, pretending not to notice how my heart sped up from his overwhelming presence. Then, I heard the sound of the lock clicking behind him. “Bella.” He called out my name. His voice was low but it's rougher tonight. It wasn’t the same cold threat I was used to. I hated how the sound of my name in his mouth made something inside me clench. I didn’t answer. I didn’t even look at him. He came closer anyway, slowly and purposefully—the way predators move when they’ve already decided you can’t escape. I sucked in a sharp breath when he stopped just in front of me. I felt the heat of him before I saw him. Still, I didn’t move. His hand reached down, fingers brushing against my face. I flinched—just a little—but he didn’t pull away. “You feel it too,” he said, voice a little quieter. “Don’t lie to yourself, Bella.” “I hate you,” I whispered in a shaky voice. “I’ll always hate you, Sebastian.” “Your hate won’t stop the bond, Bella,” he insisted. I closed my eyes, trying to shut it out, but my body betrayed me. I felt myself arch toward him—only a fraction—but enough. He saw it. I knew he did. His thumb traced my cheek, and my skin burned where he touched. “I won’t fight it anymore,” he murmured. “And neither will you.” He leaned in, his hot breath splaying against my ear. “You’re mine tonight.” A shudder ran through me. The chains rattled slightly with my movement. He crouched in front of me, his hand brushing the chain at my wrist. “Let me take these off." His hand, holding the key, extended briefly, and with a sharp click, the chains fell away with a loud clatter. My wrists throbbed with sudden freedom. This could've been my chance to escape. I could’ve fought him… could’ve run. But I didn’t. Because the ache inside me had turned unbearable. He stood slowly, backing away from me. His eyes glowed faintly, golden under the moonlight. And the way he looked at me—like he needed me, like I meant everything—made my knees feel weak. “Come here, Bella,” he ordered. I should’ve screamed, or should’ve slapped him. Should’ve done anything to resist him. But my body moved on its own, trembling, breath ragged. I rose to my knees and stepped forward. When I reached him, I tilted my head back to meet his gaze. His hands came to my waist, pulling me closer. I didn’t stop him. I couldn’t do it. His mouth crushed mine in a kiss nothing like the first time he ever touched my skin. This wasn’t violence. It wasn’t control. It was heat—raw and intoxicating. I moaned into his mouth, unable to hold it back. My fingers tangled in his shirt, pulling him closer... needing him closer. His hands slid under the nightgown I wore, roaming my back, gripping my hips like he would tear me apart if I asked him to. I gasped when my back hit the cold wall. His lips moved to my neck, then lower. His big hands clasped my breasts while his tongue played on my hardened n****e. My skin erupted under his mouth. When his other hand traveled down and found the space between my legs, I whimpered. He growled, low and possessive. “You’re already wet for me.” I didn’t answer. I couldn’t, when my body was overwhelmed with burning desire. My legs wrapped around his waist as he lifted me like I weighed nothing. The cold stone wall pressed against my back, but I barely noticed. All I could feel was him—his hard, hot rod pulsing between us. His mouth came back to mine, gentler now, slower, like he was learning me with every kiss. Like he was claiming me in ways chains never could. “Say it,” he whispered in a low growl. “Say you want this.” I looked into his eyes. My heart pounded so loudly it echoed through my ears. “I hate you,” I whispered, delirious. “But I want you.” That was all it took. He entered me in one deep thrust, and I cried out—both from pain and something I didn’t have words for. His c**k stilled inside me for a second, his breath just as ragged as mine. “You’re mine, Bella,” he breathed heavily. “You were always mine.” Then he moved. Every thrust sent fire through my veins, and I held onto him like I was drowning. His mouth found my shoulder, my throat, my collarbone. And when he bit down—when his teeth pierced my skin—I screamed. It wasn’t just pain. It was the bond. It snapped into place like a seal. A mark and a vow. My body convulsed around him, climax crashing through me so hard that I forgot who I was. He groaned, deep and broken, and followed me over the edge. And when it was over, he held me. No chains. No cages. Just the full moon above us, and the sound of our hearts, beating in the same rhythm for the first time. ***** SEBASTIAN'S POV She collapsed against me, her body still trembling. My mark on her neck was fresh—raw, red.. Her scent had changed. It was deeper now, richer—claimed. The bond between us pulsed steadily, like a second heartbeat. But I wasn’t done. Not even close. Her breath hitched again when I slid my hand to her core, cupping her soaked heat. She was still pulsing around me, still high from the first climax. I kissed and scraped my teeth along her smooth neck. “You think that was it?” She blinked up at me in a daze, lips swollen and flushed cheeks. I dragged her back to bed, lowering her slowly, gently—but there was nothing soft in the way I looked at her. I wanted her wild and wrecked. I want her to remember my name every time her body throbbed with the memory of this night. I spread her thighs open, wide. She tried to cover herself—some small part of her still clinging to modesty—but I growled, grabbing her wrists and pinning them above her head. “Don’t hide from me.” Her chest rose sharply, crimson flooding through her cheeks. “I want to see you come undone again. And again.” I entered her again, then moved slowly this time, in sinking, deep strokes. Her moan came louder—head thrown back, thighs trembling. I watched her face, every trace of pain and pleasure on it. Her body arched into mine like she couldn’t help it. Her body was begging for more even when her mind still hated me. I leaned down, pressing my forehead to hers. “You feel that?” I whispered. “That’s us. You can’t run from it.” Her legs wrapped around me tighter. Her nails clawed at my shoulders. Her lips parted, but she couldn’t speak—just cried out with each thrust as I drove into her, harder, deeper. The sound of skin on skin echoed in the room. Her scent was everywhere—on my skin, in my lungs, drowning me. She came again, her body locking up, her moan breaking into a sob. I didn’t stop. I couldn’t possibly stop. I was drunk on her—completely, utterly consumed. “Sebastian—” she whimpered. God... Hearing my name on her lips like that nearly made me lose it. “Say it again,” I demanded, gritting my teeth as I slammed into her. “Sebastian.” Louder this time. I flipped her onto her stomach, yanking her hips up. She gasped but didn’t resist. I pushed back inside her, and she cried out over and over, back arching, hands clawing at the sheets. “f**k—Bella..” I groaned as I grabbed her hair, twisting it around my hand and drove into her from behind. She was soaked—tight around me. Each thrust pulled a raw, hoarse cry from her lips. She came again. I felt it—her body spasming, her legs shaking, her voice breaking. Still, it wasn't enough. I wanted to ruin her for anyone else. Wanted to make sure she never forgot who owned her. Every inch. Every breath. Every f*****g heartbeat. I pulled her up, wrapping my arms around her from behind, my chest flush against her back as I kept moving inside her, both hands caressing her full breasts. Her head dropped to my shoulder, lips trembling, barely able to keep her eyes open. “You’re mine now,” I whispered into her ear. “Forever.” She didn’t argue. Because she knew it was true. And as I finally gave in, spilling inside her, holding her tight as we both shattered again, I knew— I would never let her go. Not even if it killed me.
