As the days turned into weeks, Joy found herself enduring Jae's constant chatter and gradually realizing just how talkative he truly was. It seemed that he couldn't shut his mouth whenever they were seated together, telling stories about his life, even though she didn't ask for them.
Jae told her about his love for soccer and how happy he was to be able to join the team after his parents managed to turn things around after three years of being on the brink of losing everything. He talked about his friends, about all the stupid things they'd done. And despite her initial reservations, she found herself looking forward to their conversations, finding herself genuinely interested in his life.
“Is that L-O-V-E, perhaps?” Angela asked, intrigued by this turn of events in Joy’s life.
