A Few Weeks Later
Life had become calm and mostly peaceful again. After my grandfather's pack had returned to the north, Jack was named Alpha and his mate, Josie was named Luna. A new Beta was appointed and soon a new generation of wolves was born. We stayed in touch and soon became firm friends.
My mother had also travelled north to reunite with my grandmother. It took some time and lots of care before my grandmother began to become more like her old self. She started talking again and the sparkle returned to her eyes. My mother stayed in the north with her but visited at least once a month, and when my grandmother was well enough, she came too.
