24 I woke up with something scratching my cheek. I tried rolling to the other side, away from the discomfort, but Jack's heavy body, leaning on my back, his leg around my waist, stopped me. "Are you awake?" I whispered, not wanting to wake him up. There was no answer. I realized that the scratchy thing was my hand and stretched my arm, admiring the sparkles the rays of sunshine made on the ring. "Do you like it?" Jack's raspy voice said. I turned around, loosening his grip slightly, our noses almost touching. "I do," I said, softly, with a smile.
