43 I wasn't arrested, they told me. I was there as a witness and victim, to describe the events that led to the man's death. I was sitting in the waiting area when the dark mage came with the rest of the arrestees. The gendarmes processed the men when the dark mage spoke up. "You can't detain me," he said. "I have diplomatic immunity." The gendarme who was doing the processing looked at him with suspicion but reported it to his superiors. Everybody started running around. Soon, they freed him of his anti-magical handcuffs and escorted him out before my very eyes. That's when the Major came.
