Dinner was quite a tense matter, with Jack's gaze fixed on the Major, in what seemed like a challenge to a fight. I called Jack on the phone before I left the office, asking him to come home for dinner. He was working late like I was, so I caught him while he was still at the police station.
When dinner was finished, and Billie went to sleep, Grandpa invited us all to his office, where he activated the secrecy spells.
"So what is the matter, Dana?" he asked. "You told us all to have a meeting to discuss some important matter — what is it?"
I told them everything — about the fight with Coby Mullens, and the conversation with Graham Hopp.
"I wonder — is he really a member of the Inquisition, or is he just using them to scare me off?" I asked.
