Joe really liked to drink on somebody else's dime. Today, the beers were on me, so he was really going to town. I kept my consumption more moderate, switching to tea (would never trust the water in these places; with tea, at least you know they boiled the water) after the first pint. "It took some convincing," Joe said, after the third pint. I had to get the information out of him before he became too drunk. Joe had the unfortunate habit of molesting big, strong guys when he was drunk, and that got him in trouble. That was the entire point. But Joe wasn't a very good fighter.
