Four days had already past remaining just one day before the earthquake attack, and the machine wasn't ready yet, "Janessa where are we on building that machine?" I asked again impatient, "we still have one more day Q, they're almost done they just need to attach a stabilizer to the machine and increase its capacity to store the energy absorbed" Janessa said, she was the Thinker and I trust her, "Alright but I need that machine today" I said firmly emphasizing on the Today, "Esperanza is the evacuation team ready?" I added, "yes but..." She tailed off, I gave a look that says 'what again', "The Dean's reluctant to realize them since they're almost done with the machine" Esperanza continued, "Normally I would agree but lives are at stake and we shouldn't risk that, I'll go talk to her" I replied as I made my way to her office. On my way I heard Esperanza shouting my name from behind while running towards me, "tenemos un problema" she said, I couldn't understand Spanish but I could tell it wasn't a good news, "Esperanza English!" I yelled, "we have a problem" she translated talking and taking breath simultaneously, "what?" I asked, "The earthquake, it's early, Janessa's already on her way to help them with the machine" she said, I was surprised, it wasn't a new thing for our detectors to be wrong but I thought since we upgraded our machine everything would be more perfect but it wasn't after all, "we need to send the evacuation team right now" I said as I hurried to Dean Lim's office.

"Quevel I was just about to come see you, let's send the evacuation team right now" Dean Lim said, "and where are we on that machine" she added, "we need more time for the machine" I answered, "Lead the evacuation team" she said and I nodded turning to Esperanza, "gather all senior Peculiars at the hall, I'll be there in a moment" I said and rushed to thee construction lab, "how much time do you still need?" I asked seeing them work on something on the table while Janessa calculated something on the board, "I got it the stabilizer just need a little soft iron core to reduce it's Hysteresis loss" Janessa said, "that's true, why didn't we think of that" Lenzyn and Tenzyn said simultaneously, she turned to me "just little, and also we'll need Esperanza to charge up the battery", "you're quite good" Tenzyn complimented Janessa, "am a Thinker for a reason" she said and smiled, I walked out and made my way to the hall trying to clear my mind, as I needed to open many portals for all senior Peculiars to go through (I can't open a portal with something on my mind).

On getting there, "I already dismissed some Peculiars, you were taking longer than expected" Esperanza told me, "good one" I said to her and made my way to the podium, "Peculiars, the lives of citizens are at stake, evacuate them safely to the outskirt of the District, that's all we can do for now, I'll open a portal, e everyone would go through it" I said as I began to open a portal large enough for everyone to go through, including me.

"What should I do" Esperanza asked wanting to enter the portal too, "The need you to charge the battery of the machine with your electromagnetic wave I guess" I told her, "seguro (sure)" she said as she made her way there.

I arrived at District Seven and helped in the evacuation, the earthquake had already started and it only made things difficult for us, everyone (Normal citizens) was panicking and running towards different direction, I decided to create a portal in their way, so they could run I into it.

I claimed thee nearest wall I could fine and stood on it, I began opening portals in front of citizens, I was so engrossed in helping I didn't realize the wall I was standing on was already coming down, I slipped from the falling wall am landed into someone's arm, "I got you captain" I heard him say, "I looked up to see who it was but his face was directly under the sun, do I had to close my eyes, "are you ok?" He asked, "am fine" I sad as I left his arms to stand on my own, I looked at his face I hadn't seen him before, "Captain, the machine's ready, they need you to open a portal for them" He said, "and how do you know that?" I asked, also I couldn't shake off the fact that He calls me Captain, "this" he said pointing to his ear comm, "sure" I said as I opened a portal leading to school.

I arrived at the construction lab, "The machine's ready" both Tenzyn and Lenzyn said at the same time, while Janessa and Esperanza giggled, (I don't know why), "Have you tested it?" I asked, "No but according to my calculations we have an 80% chance it would work" Janessa said, "That's more than enough, we can't waste any more time" I said as I opened a portal. We all walked through the portal and arrived at District Seven, "so how does it works" I asked, "your finally here" I heard someone said, turning it was the guy who helped me earlier, "Leo, did you dig the spot?" Tenzyn asked, "yeah, this way" He said, so His name was Leo, Leo what I thought, wait that's none of my business so I shook the thought off.

He led us to a spot where he had digged,they placed the machine in the spot and turned it on, the ground vibrated for some seconds and everywhere became still, "Funcionó, it worked" Esperanza celebrated, so did the others as I smiled, we took a tour round and everywhere was still, I let out a breath of relief, "We did it" Lenzyn and Tenzyn said together, "Do you always talk at once?" I asked, "Sometimes" They both said simultaneously said again while Janessa and Esperanza laughed.

"How do we get back?" Esperanza asked, "I can just open a portal" I said, as I proceeded to open one "But I brought my car" Leo said, "I'll go get it, we can drive to school" He said and left, "That's just time wasting" I said "Come on Q, when last did we have a relaxing drive?" Esperanza asked, "Fine" I said agreeing to her.

Leo arrived in His car, they paced the machine in the booth and we all got in, for some reason I ended up in the passenger sit, "Ah, this feels good" Esperanza said, "Not as good as walking through portals though" Janessa said, "Must be cool being a Breacher and not having to walk right?" Leo asked me, "I wouldn't really say not having to work, opening portals takes a lot of concentration" I said, we went silent for some time, "what are your powers?" I asked realizing I knew nothing about him, "My sword" He said, I was confused, "Actually I can increase the total kinetic energy in a body, but it's not really useful in combat so I invented this sword, in which.." He was interrupted by Tenzyn "oh I see, Leo's already bragging, He didn't create the sword all by himself, we helped too" Tenzyn said, "Shut up Tenzyn" He replied and I smiled. Finally we arrived at school. "Thanks for the ride, we had fun" Esperanza said, "Sure anytime" Tenzyn and Lenzyn both said, "see you around Captain" Leo said and walked out, "Captain?" Janessa asked trying to understand, "awwn, he calls you Captain" Esperanza added, "Not now Esperanza, we've wasted time already, we need to report to the Dean" I said, "seguro (sure)" she said, as we made our way to the Dean's office.

"Quevel, am so grateful" The Dean said welcoming us in as i sat comfortably in the chair, crossing my legs, "it's my pleasure" I replied her, "you girls did wonderfully well today, I don't know what I can do without you all" she flattered, "we can do more, I have a suggestion" I said, "and what is it?" She asked curious, "If we're a team we can achieve more, strengthening others weakness and fighting together, having each other's back, that would be more productive" I said and I was serious, I really wanted Leo and the Twin on my team, they were so productive and I wanted productive people to fight beside me, "How do you mean, like a group of what?" Janessa asked, "we can put Peculiars into group at a maximum of six like league" I said, "but they would need to learn each other skills, train with each others and adapt, isn't that a lot of work?" Janessa asked, "She has a point, it may be too much to handle right now" Dean Lim said, "They can train together, and we won't group then with someone new, just their normal friends, they can adapt easily and it would help strengthen teamwork and cooperation which would make us stronger" I said, "I'll talk to the Board Members about it" Dean Lim replied, "sure, and fir the grouping I want the identical Twins and their friend Leo on my team" I said getting up to leave. "Leonard Snart and the Twins, you're up to something aren't you?" Dean Lim asked suspiciously, "of course not, it's like I said it'll strengthen us" I told her as we walked out, "You're up to something Q, what is it?" Janessa asked, "Nothing much, I just want strong Peculiars on my team" I said, I didn't want to lue to my friends, "but we're already strong together" Esperanza who had been quiet suddenly said, "we couldn't stop the earthquake on our own" I told her, "maybe you're right, it would e nice to team up with Lenzyn again" Janessa said, "Am always right" I told them.
