Ella and Gray had spent nearly every moment together that they could but being apart of a guild meant that they had to take missions to make a living and though they tried to go together on most missions and job there were times that they knew they needed to take a break from each other and go on their own, they had been doing this for nearly 2 years now.
Gray had just returned home from his most recent mission and when he walked into the guild the air around him seemed off, he knew instantly something was off however he couldn't tell what; not even Natsu was acting like his usual self and the guild hall was so silent that you could practically hear the flap of a butterflies wings. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Makarov clear his throat as Gray approached the bar.
"Gray when you're available would you meet me in my office, alone? There's an important matter we need to discuss." Makarov said quietly, Gray of course agreed however the more he thought about it the more he felt as if he was about to get in trouble. What he didn't know was that his entire world was about to shatter.
Gray went in to the masters office and stood behind a chair,
"You wanted to see me old man?" he asked eyeing the small man in front of him, Makarov was standing on his desk and his voice was more gruff than usual.
"Gray I want you to know that we are doing all we can to find her." he began, of course Gray was confused so he stood patiently waiting for the old man to continue.
"Ella left for her mission shortly before you left for yours correct?" the master asked peering over his shoulder, Gray shrugged in different,
"Yea I think that's how it was, she left about a week before me, why?" Gray asked beginning to get concerned by the question and the way the master was talking.
"Gray there was an attack on the village that Ella was working in and nobody has seen or heard from her in over two months, her mission should have been done within a week of her being gone, we fear for the worst." Gray eyed the old man hoping it was some kind of joke but he knew in his heart that something was wrong, the master would never make a joke like this about one of his children.
"Have any of Fairy Tail gone to look for her? Is there any way to be sure that she's missing?" Gray asked, his hands balling into fists at his sides, his muscles contorting in anger and worry, as Makarov shook his head sadly.
"We have sent all of our most capable members to search for her but there isn't much of the village left after the attack and we fear the very worst." Gray turned to leave nearly breaking the door down in what he wasn't sure was anger or fear all he knew was that the woman he loved was missing and nothing would be the same without her.

Days had turned into weeks and weeks soon became months it was nearly a year and soon Fairy Tail was gearing up for the Grand Magic Games, and with team Natsu already gone to Crocus in order to prep for the games Makarov called his secret weapon into play.
"I see we have all arrived and are ready to begin with the instructions for the games? You will all be Fairy Tail team B, our secret weapon." he said looking around at the only members of Fairy Tail that he had kept behind, Laxus, Mirajane, Juvia, Gajeel. Gajeel looked around and raised his eyebrow at the little old man.
"Shouldn't all the teams who are participating in the games have at least five members?" He asked making sure he counted everyone correctly, Makarov smiled and nodded to some unknown person outside the doors to the guild hall, shortly after Jellal walked in followed by a short hooded figure who stood at the mouth of the entrance and kept their head down so nobody left in the room would be able to see their identity.
"This young one is going to be your fifth member, and trust me when I say that they are a member of Fairy Tail." Makarov said acknowledging the mysterious stranger, just then a breeze made it's way through the open door of the guild hall and blew past Gajeel and Laxus who both recognized the scent nearly immediately, however it was Gajeel who stepped up to the small figure and ripped the hood back, revealing Ella Dawn still alive and well and giving him a look that seemed as if she would burst into tears at any moment.
"I know what you're going to say Gajeel and I didn't run and hide out of fe
