The Fight For Custody

1017 Words
All Christians and Jews know the story of the two women who were fighting over custody and ownership of a baby. Most people would bulk when I say the custody hearings of modern day are garbage compared to the wisdom of King Solomon. In 1 Kings 3:16-28, The Bible tells the story of the two women as an example of the tough decisions that a leader must make. Yes the extremely intense moment when the king draws the guard's sword and swings down at the baby only to have the true mother fall to the ground over her child offering her life so that the child may live was a true life test of motherhood. If you recall that the king stayed his sword and gave the child over to the woman who offered her life for his but has anyone asked about the fate of the other women who kidnapped the child in the first place? The Bible offers the first party account of how the woman, we will call her {Mother-A}, knew all of this happened but still she didn't do anything to correct the theft of her child while the event had happened. And Solomon in his famous wisdom didn't ask this question, or maybe that detail was omitted for relevance. "Hello, I am Anatolie." "And I am Dema." "I am Victor." "And I am Luke. Together we are known as the Four Horsemen. And this is "Patriots Must Rise! We are coming to you live in our first podcast ever for the Forever Brewing Coffee Shop, across the street from Sever Hall in Cambridge's own Harvard University campus. We have met here in the backroom together to study and those mock trials became such an attraction that four years later, after we graduated, the owner of this amazing on campus experience invited us to keep using his establishment for recording. Does anyone have anything to add about The Forever Brewing Coffee Shop?" Dema keyed up the microphone. "No Luke that is everything, good job. However I find it appropriate to call over the owner and ask him to say hi to our newest listeners. Caleb, come on over to the Microphone and say a few words." Caleb stopped putting away dishes long enough to sit down with us. I was nice but we could all see that he was uncomfortable talking to people that his may never meet. A lawyer is trained to talk to the jury selection to sway a jury in the duration of the trial; however, a shop keep is not. "Hello America." said Caleb. Victor saw that America needs to change, but like too many others, Danny's son needed to learn that any true change comes from within one's self or the change that happens is as much of a burden as it was long ago and our nation would see history repeat it's self. Caleb continued on the Microphone, "Tolie that was a great introduction." I smiled and nodded. "Was Solomon you subject matter too night? What inspired your choice?" I keyed up to answer Caleb. "Yes the story of the two mothers is said to be some of the inspiration for American jurisprudence. For this reason I chose our first subject matter." Caleb smiled and went back to work. "Well Caleb is the only one opening today so he left us the put away dishes. That is the noise you are hearing in the background. So Dema, what did you think of my intro? Dema keyed up to say, " You poised and interesting point." Dema paused to gather his thoughts. " Everyone in this room believes that the Bible was written with intent. If everything you read in the Bible is true then at least some if not all of what is not said yet implied is also true." "Interesting!" I answered back. "What do you guys think? Yes, I am talking to everyone in the room. Even the guy busing tables across the room. Everyone is welcome to be heard. I rolled up with my microphone in hand and asked Carol what her thoughts on the subject were. "I am talking to Carol who needs to get back to work, so I will make this fast. Was King Solomon's not calling out the first mother for letting the other women kidnap her child done with intent?" I held the microphone towards her. Carol smeed like she was put on the spot. "Do you need more time?" She said that she did. "OK, We will get back to you. And back to you Dema." I was just having way too much fun as I galloped around the tables with my front wheels up as customers started to come in. {Smack} "Oh sorry, I was just testing some new equipment. Here please have a seat, the first round is on me. I really didn't mean to knock you over. Are we cool?" Dema turned on the PA system, "Anatolie come back to the table and get back to work the costumer you knocked over is fine." I sheepishly went back to the table. "And that my friends is how you don't started a new podcast." Victor keyed in laughing. Boy was I embarrassed but the viewership loved the random putting people on the spot. from that point on Brian and Carol would go out into the crowd and screen questions to put on air. Our first episode got 10 million views in a week and AdSense paid off all five of my friends student loan debts within the year. Amongst ourselves we discussed the kidnapper in the story. History tells us that the Jewish king would have had her arrested and possibly executed for the act. The Bible also says that the kidnaper was asleep while committing the act of kidnapping, so many among Jewish people would have said that she was possessed by Lilith the first wife of Adam. If Lilith was the case she took the sole of the first child and in the same night arranged to take another. Ingenious if you ask me.
