Natalia POV CRASH! The glass cup shattered into pieces. "That b***h is still alive—not even, crippled, or ugly. He said it would work, but instead of being humiliated, the other students started singing her praises!" I paced back and forth in my room, screaming angrily. I grabbed another glass and threw it. SMASH! But instead, it caused a monster stampede. I never wanted that. All I wanted was for her to learn a lesson. I bit my fingernail nervously. What if they find out it was me? They can't. I know they won't. I let out a sigh in frustration. Dream POV I woke up in the same field of flowers. I was in my tetrabrid form. Nova: "This dream again." "Yeah, but this feels different.",I said. I walked through the fields, away from the small ponds. I could feel the soft grass beneath my bare feet. "Hello?”,I said. No one answered. My voice simply echoed through the wind. Where is she? I continued walking endlessly, but then I realized that every time I walked away, I somehow returned to the same spot where the pond was located. What's going on? Why do I keep coming back here? It's like a never-ending loop. Nova: "This is so weird." I nodded. Nova: "Maybe check the pond. It might have some clues." I nodded again. I looked around the pond, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. It looked completely peaceful. I sighed. Staring at the water's surface, I saw nothing unusual. The water was calm and crystal clear. I'm going to jump into the pond,I said. Nova: "Wait! Have you thought this through?" "Yes. Besides, I can breathe underwater. I'm a siren, remember? I'll be fine,I said proudly. Nova: "That's not what I meant... you know what? Forget it." She sighed in frustration. I chuckled. She had totally given up on me at this point. I took a deep breath before diving into the pond. I expected the rush of cold water, but instead... Nothing. I was standing in a vast void filled with stars. Even the ground beneath my feet reflected the night sky—or maybe the sky reflected the ground. I couldn't tell. I looked around and saw the same woman from my previous dreams. She was kneeling on the ground as if praying, with her back turned toward me. I walked toward her, but the distance between us grew longer and longer. My walk became a jog. The jog became a sprint. I panted heavily. "Wait! Look at me!",I said. I kept running. Then it was as if the ground disappeared beneath my feet. I started falling. I reached out toward her, desperate to grab her. But she faded away. Elk POV Lisa had been taking care of Elk for the past three days. She had remained unconscious the entire time. Cain had also come to help, but he had a research project to work on, so he couldn't stay for long. Lisa was refilling a glass with fresh water when I suddenly sat upright in panic. Where is she?!,I said. I repeated the question over and over while looking around the room in panic. Lisa was startled at first, but she quickly regained her composure. Calm down, Elk,said Lisa. She placed a hand on my shoulder, snapping me out of my frantic state. Breathe in... and breathe out, said Lisa. I followed her instructions, and my body gradually relaxed. I'm fine. Sorry for scaring you,I said. She nodded. Elk, you kept asking, 'Where is she?' Who were you talking about?said Lisa. No, it's nothing. Just a nightmare. I'll be fine,I said. I'll go get the doctor. You rest here, said Lisa. I nodded. The door closed gently behind her. I looked around the room. This isn't my dorm... I guess this is the academy's infirmary. I remembered passing out after the fight with the wendigo. A flashback surfaced in my mind. Azravel had saved me from falling. He saved me again. I should really thank him. I sighed and relaxed back into the bed. Maybe that dream was just my subconscious. The sound of the door opening pulled me from my thoughts. Lisa entered with the doctor. I nodded respectfully. You're awake. I'll do a quick checkup to see how you're doing, the doctor said. Okay. I feel fine now,I said. She nodded. A few minutes passed as she examined me and asked several questions. I answered each one honestly. Finally, she smiled. You're doing fine. Just drink more blood, and you'll recover, said the doctor. BAM! The door burst open. Azravel stood there looking completely disheveled. His hair was messy, his clothes were wrinkled, and his tie was barely hanging around his neck. The doctor, Lisa, and I all stared at him in surprise. Inside my head, Nova was laughing herself to death. Headmaster!,said the doctor. She blinked in surprise. Azravel coughed awkwardly. I'm here to ask Student Elk about the incident. Please step outside, said Azravel. I tilted my head in confusion. Lisa pressed her lips together tightly. Everyone looked at one another for a moment before Azravel nodded toward the door. Understanding the silent order, Lisa and the doctor left, gently closing the door behind them. Azravel snapped his fingers. A soundproof barrier surrounded the room. What are you doi—,I said. Before I could finish speaking, his lips crashed against mine. A startled sound escaped me, but I slowly relaxed into the kiss. Our lips moved together at a quiet, steady pace, neither of us rushing. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against mine. I thought I almost lost you. You were unconscious for three days, said Azravel. My eyes widened. Three days? Was I really out that long? I looked directly into his eyes. I know... but I promise you, I won't die that easily,I said. My gaze was filled with determination. He stared into my eyes before letting out a tired sigh. I smirked. So tell me... do you always look this disheveled when visiting your students?,I said teasingly. He flicked my forehead and I pouted. That's for teasing me, little ruby, said Azravel. I rolled my eyes playfully. I sighed again. Why the heavy sigh?,said Azravel. I don't think the monster stampede was a coincidence,I said. I thought so too, said Azravel. Yeah. Something doesn't make sense. When we entered the forest, there weren't many monsters, especially during a hunting exercise,I said. Exactly. The kingdoms regularly inspect Area One, and it was snowing there. There are simply too many uncertainties, said Azravel. Yeah... and that wendigo was strange,I said. He nodded. Forget about it for now. You need to recover. I'll continue investigating, said Azravel. I nodded. Get some rest. I'll be here if you need me,said Azravel. He patted my head like I was a little kid. You know I'm not a kid,I said. I pouted. He chuckled. After he left, gently closing the door behind him, I heard a few muffled voices before everything went silent. Nova: "I guess he made up an excuse so Lisa would leave." Yeah... I guess so,I said. I slowly got out of bed and walked over to the window. The crescent moon shone brightly, its silver light illuminating my face. I gently pressed my hand against the cool glass as my reflection stared back at me. What is really going on?
