CHAPTER 13: [ JOEY'S POV ]

It was about 5 in the afternoon and I was returning from work . I entered the apartment and put my things down on the counter. I walked around calling April and then I noticed her in the bedroom, I entered and she had a towel wrapped around her body. I walked up to her and hugged her from behind - she smelled like chocolate and she was warm. " How was work ? "  " it was good , how was your day ? "  " good " she turns around and looks at me , I put my hands around her waist and she puts her hands around my neck. She leans in and kisses me and I kiss her back - her hands went down to my tie and and she unloosened it , next she took my suit jacket off then she unbuttoned my shirt and took it off. Her hands roamed around my chest - her hands traced my 6 pack and her fingertips were so gentle and alluring. My hands went to her towel I took it off , my hands went to the back of her brassiere I was about to unclip it when she stops me.  " Maybe tonight after the event! " I groan - I put my hands through my hair and mess it up " babe we had a moment back there ! "  " I know but there is no way getting around this event " she kisses me on my cheek " love you! "  I smile and look at her - this event meant everything for her she deserves it! " Okay I'll get ready" 

                                                                              [ APRIL'S POV ]

I put on this crimson red long sleeve slit A - line long prom dress , I then put on these round toe stiletto heels ankle strap black pumps . I then did my makeup ; I did this black glitter smoky eye look , I put on mascara, eyeliner , some Chanel perfume and lastly some ultra HD matte lip mousse hyper matte red lipstick . I did the finishing touches - I put on these Sterling silver black shadow crystal dangle earrings and of course I did my hair - I curled it and left it loose.

I walked out of the bedroom and entered the library- I took the book and walked over to the lounge , I sat down on the couch looking through this baby book I came across this name Athena it was a beautiful name it was the name of a Greek goddess - the goddess of wisdom and war . For some reason I loved this name but it felt so incomplete so I looked a bit further in the book and found nothing interesting so I closed the book . I thought for a few seconds about middle names and then I thought about the name Brooklyn . I combined it all together Athena Brooklyn Arthur it was simply amazing. " You look beautiful tonight ! " I look up and notice how handsome Joey was looking in his tuxedo I got up and walked over to him. 

                                                                                           * 

" Are you ready to go ? "  " hmm I am " 

                                                                                 [ JOEY'S POV ] 

I  was in the car driving to the event , the radio was on and the song SWALLA by Jason Derulo was playing. I looked over at April she was looking outside. I put my hand on hers and she looks at me " love I found a baby name for a girl ! "  " well do tell me the name ! "  " okay so here it goes Athena Brooklyn Arthur " I look ahead and then I look back at her " its amazing" April instantly smiles. We reached the event and I got out and opened the door for April.

We were almost inside when I grabbed April's wrist , she turns to look at me and I look at her .I walk closer to her and I put one hand on her chin , I lean in and kiss her , she kisses me back . We suddenly got interrupted by none other then Jeremy " a- hem are you two love birds going to stand here all night or are we going to go inside? ''  I groan in the kiss and April smiles  - we broke away and I looked at Jeremy and glared at him. 

                                                                                            *

" Look dude I would love to ditch this event and go cuddle with Caroline at home but these 2 beautiful talented woman have made us proud and they deserve to be at this event! "  Caroline then came walking over to us " hey Joey ! "  " hey Caroline . "  She walks over to April and they hug each other , Caroline then starts complimenting April on her outfit and April does the same for Caroline. 

                                                                                 [ APRIL'S POV ] 

Caroline and I were sitting in the seats reserved for the artists, the models then began modelling down the runway. " They look cute ! " I look at Caroline and nod.

Linda then came up and started speaking and honoring us artists . Caroline and I were holding each others hand - she was squeezing mine really tight I smiled at her she simply looks so adorable when she is excited . After Linda's speech ended , Caroline and I went to look at the paintings - while we were observing some paintings - a few people came over and congratulated Caroline and I on the excellent work.

We came over to my paintings and Caroline tugged on my hand '' April this is seriously amazing ! "  " thank you . "  '' You know the baby is going to have the best mother in the world! "  " I'm sure she will "  " you want it to be a girl ? ''  " any gender is fine with me ."

Caroline and I were eating some snacks served at the event and then I felt these hands around my waist - I turn to my side and it was Joey " babe well done on your work ! ''  " thank you ! "  '' You not feeling tired ?" " maybe a little ! "  " you want to leave ? ''  '' that sounds like a good idea . "   I walked around trying to find Cassidy and then I found her " hey Cassidy may I go home I'm just a little worn out ! "   " hey April of course you may - that's a very lovely outfit you wearing ! "   " oh thank you , I love your outfit too" 

                                                                                 [ JOEY'S POV ]

After April greeted everyone we got in the car and left.

I was driving and then April put the radio on , the song As long as you love me by Justin Bieber started playing. She started smiling and turns to look at me" love do you want to sing along ? "  " I'll think of it "  "okay then don't mind me " she starts singing and I chuckle.

We came to a red light and I looked at her - her heels were off and her dress came up a bit showing off her thighs.  I tried reaching out for her hand but she was so occupied with singing that she was moving along to the song :

Her singing was crazy but I loved every bit of it , the light turned green and I drove . We finally reached the building - the song finished off just  in time. I parked the car and got out ; I walked to April's side and opened the door . She got out and put her heels on.

We were in the lift when I look at April - she was looking at me. " What's wrong ? "  she comes closer to me and gives me a quick peck on the lips. I was about to kiss her back when the lift door opens , she winks at me with a smile evident on her face - she walks outs and I soon followed. 

                                                                                              * 

I enter the apartment and lock the door behind me ; I went straight to the bedroom when I notice April still in her dress. " Love you want to help me out here ! " I walk over to her and stand behind her , I gently move her hair to the side and then I slowly take the dress off - it was almost off when she turns around , her hands went around my neck " where's the fun in that ! " I smirk at her and kiss her she kisses me back , her hands went down to my suit jacket and she takes it off and then she takes my shirt off. My hands went to her dress and I took it off , my hands then went to the back of her brassiere I unclipped it and it fell on the floor . I eventually deepened the kiss and April wraps her legs around my torso , I carried her not breaking the kiss but we bumped into the dresser I eventually put her down , she was sitting on the dresser , her hands went around my neck and she plays with my hair. I then carried her to the bed and put her down , I broke the kiss and kissed her neck - she moves her head to the side to give me better excess. The rest of the night went by with us making love to each other .

It was 11 am and I was laying on the bed , April was laying next to me - the sheet was tumbled up. She got up and wraps her gown around her , she enters the bathroom and I hear the shower turn on. I got up, entered the bathroom I entered the shower with her and I notice she was washing her hair , I took the body wash and sponge and washed myself. April finished up and got out - I took my time and then I got out , I got changed in  black sweatpants with a black long sleeve top , I dried my hair and left it looking messy. 

                                                                                  [ APRIL'S POV ]

I was standing in front of the mirror looking at my outfit for one last time- I was wearing a black short dress with a floral skirt and along with it some black lace up flat sandals. My hair was French braided and I wasn't wearing makeup.

I left the bedroom and entered the kitchen I notice Joey made omelets along with smoothies . " Morning beautiful "  " morning ! "   I took a seat and started eating while eating Joey starts speaking '' so I was thinking that the wedding should be in 8 months time , is that alright with you ? " I look at Joey " um it sounds perfect. "

After we ate and washed the dishes , we left the apartment and drove to the doctor.

I was laying on the bed while the doctor was showing the scan , Joey was present in the room and I look at him he was so happy I smiled - he was going to be the best father ever.

After seeing the scan I felt immensely happy - I was going to be a father and to be honest I'm not sure if I'm ready but then hey I'm going to do my best .

We were currently sitting at SURFS UP and by we I mean Caroline , Jeremy , myself and April. I told Jeremy about the wedding and he agreed that 8 months was fine. I noticed April talking to Caroline then they started laughing about something - she was so happy. After we ate April offered to pay the bill but Caroline wasn't having any of that so Jeremy and I spilt it- April and Caroline were annoyed.

All 4 of us took a walk down the beach and then I heard someone call my name, I turned around and I notice this guy and there was a women with him - they walked closer and that's when I noticed it was Jerry -my older brother by only 8 years.

We hugged each other and then I noticed Katherine - his wife , April was walking with Caroline down the beach and Jeremy was on the phone " brother I never see you for a long time ! "   " I know Jerry things have been hectic , how are you both doing ? " Katherine then replied " we good and how are you ? "  " I'm better than ever I have a fiancé , come I'll introduce you guys ! "   My brother and Katherine were both shocked , we walked over to April and I called her she turns around. " April this is my brother Jerry and  this is his wife Katherine  "  April walks closer to them " its a pleasure to meet you guys ! " my brother and his wife both respond " the pleasure is all ours"  Jerry then looks at me " she is the same April you loved 4 years ago am I right ? "   " yeah you right "   " she is so different and by that I mean she is a successful artist and beautiful as ever"  Katherine laughs " of course she is ! "  Caroline and Jeremy come along and as soon as Jerry and Jeremy see each other they bro hug and start catching up on everything they missed talking about - what can I say they knew each other . I look at April and she was talking to Katherine and Caroline , she must of told Katherine something that she looked at me with big eyes and her hand was on her mouth .  Jerry comes with Jeremy and immediately starts questioning the look Katherine was giving me " Katherine what's wrong ? ''  she removes her hand from her mouth and looks at Jerry " April is pregnant ! " Jerry looks at me " bro you going to be a dad " he comes over and was about to bro hug me when he hugs April instead " Jerry I was expecting a bro hug ! " he looks at me and shrugs " well April is pregnant not you and besides I like her more "  I give him a questioning look and they all start laughing.

After we talked and all , Jeremy and Caroline had to leave and so did April and I but before we left Katherine calls us " how about you guys come over for supper tomorrow night - you can see the  kids they been asking about you Joey ! "  " how are they doing and how old are they ? "  " Well  Tyson is 18 , Mike is 17 , Kayla is 16 and Jed is 9 and they doing pretty ok for hormonal teenagers! "  " that's good well we'll be there tomorrow night , bye! "

We were in the car and April turns to look at me " they nice! "  I look at her and smile " of course they are !" " So on a scale of 1-10 how worried should I be about your niece and nephews ? "  " honestly lets say 2 ! "  " Are you sure ? "  I look at her and she looks worried ,  I take her hand and kiss it " as sure as I'll ever be! "

We were currently at home , April and I were sitting on the bed watching BROOKLYN NINE- NINE , she was sitting cross legged and my legs were spread out.  While watching I looked at her and she was so concentrated , her hair was loose and I looked at her hands which were on her lap . I noticed the ring and I smiled - it was so beautiful on her finger , I can't imagine giving anyone else that ring! she got tired and put her head on my legs , I took a piece of the blanket and covered her up. I looked at her and she looked up at me - we didn't say anything we just looked at each other . She took my hand and intertwined our hands together , the show finally ended and I put the TV off , I looked at her and she was sleeping. I moved her off my legs and put her head on the pillow - I covered her with the blanket and I got up from the bed - I walked to her side and kissed her on the forehead. I put the bed light lamp on and I got in the bed - April turned around and I looked at her , I looked at her freckles and then her nose ring which was absolutely cute , I looked at her eye lashes and then I looked at her lips . I soon got tired so I put the lights off and I closed my eyes. 

                                                                             [ APRIL'S POV  ]

It was around the evening and I was getting dressed - I put on this Zeston slim fit black jeans along with this black off the shoulder top V neck long sleeve slim fit blouse shirt. Over this I put on a faux leather biker jacket with quilted sleeves. I put on ankle socks and these block heel square toe ankle boot shoes - black Suede. I did my hair in this vintage curly up style chignon bun , I put on silver stone stud earrings and lastly I applied some perfume and I went light on my makeup only applying mascara and eyeliner.

I left the apartment and headed towards the lift.

I reached outside and I noticed Joey standing outside his car - I walked over to him and he smiles looking me over " you look beautiful! "   " thank you ! "  I noticed he was wearing black chino pants , black shirt , his shoes were black converse and his hair was gelled . " Love you look so casual ! "  " well they know me so I don't need to worry ! "   " right I'm over thinking things ! "

We were in the car - Joey was driving I noticed he kept on looking at me but I was looking at my phone , I was nervous as hell I shouldn't be but I was - what if the kids never liked me or maybe worse they mean to me . I'm being ridiculous it will be fine!  

                                                                                 [ JOEY'S POV  ]

I constantly kept on looking at April she was looking at her phone ; I could tell she was nervous so I decided to lighten up the mood " babe do you want me to play some music ? " she shook her head, okay so she didn't want music I tried again this time by holding her hand but she removed her hand from mine . I continued driving until I reached their house - I parked the car in front and I turned to look at April she was busy typing on her phone " babe ! "  she bit her lip and looked at me '' its going to be fine! " she just nodded  - I leaned in closer and kissed her , she returns the kiss but she soon broke it off. I was obviously pissed off that she broke it off sooner but there was a reason for that  . I got out of the car and opened the door for April she got out and walked to the front door I closed the door and ran up to her . I tried intertwining our hands but she never let me - she was really nervous . 

                                                                                 [  APRIL'S POV  ]

After we entered Jerry and Katherines house they showed us around and then we walked to the lounge ; their house was honestly very beautiful with crystal chandeliers and a long staircase and they had 6 bedrooms , a garden , a movie theatre and many more things.

Katherine and I were talking when all 4 children entered the lounge ,   Katherine then started introducing us . " So kids this is April Carrington - uncle Joey's fiancé and she is pregnant " they all stood there looking at me , oh gosh I'm even more nervous now . " So April this is the oldest - Tyson his 18 " he stepped forward and  I noticed he had green eyes and brown hair like Jerry and Joey " hi"  " hey! " then Katherine introduced me to Mike who was 17 he had brown hair and blue eyes then I met Kayla and Jed who both also had blue eyes and light brown hair  - Kayla was 16 and Jed who was such a sweetie pie was 9 .

While we were eating I could feel all of them looking at me , after we ate we all sat and talked and then the kids talked to me - Kayla was the first to talk " so what do you do ? "  " I'm a realism artist and a dancer! "  " that's cool ! " then Jed talks " do you have long hair ? "  " yeah I do maybe one day I'll show you ! " Jed smiles .  " I wanted to say this for quite some time but you very beautiful! "  I look at Tyson and smile  "thank you ! "   " so you into tattoos ? "  I look at Mike " let me guess you found my i********: account ! "    "I wouldn't say that "  I smile at him and nod ,I take my phone out and check his i********: account - his account wasn't private so I click in it and stroll down looking at his pictures . I look back at him " your girlfriend is HOT ! "   " not as hot as you ! "  I look at Tyson and laugh " that was smooth . "  '' So Tyson do you have a girlfriend ? "   " I've been stalking this girl  for some time "   " any luck ! "  " almost there ! "  " so does she work anywhere ? "   " at Starbucks ! "  " cool so I'm guessing you go there to see her ! "  " You could say that ! "  " so what's her name ? "   " Ella ! "   " that's beautiful ! "

We talked for a while longer and then Joey and I left .

After we came back to the apartment I noticed April was more relaxed , I walked into the gym room and April was sitting on a chair and playing the violin. She was smiling while playing and she looked so beautiful at this point - after she played we went to the bedroom and slept .
