CHAPTER 11: [APRIL'S POV]

It was early in the morning when my phone started ringing; I got up from bed , grabbed my phone and left the bedroom. I entered the living room and answered the call: 

APRIL: " Hello" 

CASSIDY: " Hey its Cassidy sorry for calling this early in the morning ! "

APRIL: " Oh hi , what's the matter that you called ? " 

CASSIDY : " Well we got a client that's very confused about what she wants , so I called all the artists and told them to meet me at the art shop - this task is very important because its a very influential person who needs this! "

APRIL : '' I see, okay well who is she ? " 

CASSIDY: '' Her name is Linda Brook and the reason I called you is because we need to go to her studio - she has her own modelling company and the set where we will be based is a fashion runway! " 

APRIL : { shocked } " this is very different um I'll be there in 30 minutes , bye! " 

CASSIDY: '' See you in 30 minutes!" 

                                                                                            * 

I quickly rushed to the bathroom, did my business , showered. I walked out of the bathroom and walked to the walk in closet. 

                                                                                            * 

I put on a white Levi's mid- rise skinny jeans along with a white blouse lace chiffon short sleeve top.  I  put on this real leather pink Suede biker jacket; I put some ankle socks on and my white Martin boots. I combed my hair and put it in a white pony tail, I put on some mascara and eyeliner.

I was walking out of the room when I noticed Joey was still sleeping, I entered the kitchen , ate cereal and rushed to my paint studio to get some supplies. 

                                                                                           * 

I grabbed my car keys, wallet and phone, I ran back to the bedroom and I see Joey come out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist" morning let me guess a client! "  " morning love, yes in fact its Linda Brook so I have to get going" I ran and kissed him on the cheek . " See you later " he kissed me on my forehead.

I entered the lift and I notice the 2 guys from the other day, we talked and it looked like they knew who I was , they found out I'm pregnant and engaged and congratulated me. 

                                                                                           * 

I reached the art shop, parked the car, took my supplies and ran inside " good you here we have to get to the studio! " 

                                                                                           * 

Caroline and I got out of our cars and walked inside the studio , Cassidy then placed us around but I went with her towards the runway. I took my supplies and then Caroline shrieks " what's wrong? ''  '' YOU ENGAGED PLUS PREGNANT ! you are seriously living life! " I laugh and then I hear Cassidy " you what? "

After telling Cassidy , I got a very big hug from her and she mentioned how beautiful my ring is. 

                                                                                           * 

She showed me around the studio - the male models and then I finally got started; I took my canvas out and set my supplies out. A few minutes later , the models started walking on the runway and I stopped one of them but they all stopped. " Hey could you tell me what look your designer is going for! " as the one guy was about to respond this woman started screaming at me.

" What do you think you doing - who are you to stop him? "  " excuse me I'm the realism artist and by the way my name is April Carrington''  " I see I'm Linda Brook ! " she looked at my outfit and back at me " is something wrong? ''  " You don't seem like an artist to me ! "  " well people come in all shapes and sizes"

I finally got back to my painting , the model informed me that it was Rock n Roll so I searched the studio and internet for a few ideas.

After I got more information , I took my sketchbook out and started planning how the painting will look. 

                                                                                           * 

It was about 6 pm and I was still at the studio , I finished my planning and packed up.  I left the studio and drove towards Papa's Pizza.

I didn't buy pizza but instead I bought us burgers. I drove home and reached the apartment, I entered and went straight to Joey's study before I reached his study I put the food down on the kitchen counter. 

                                                                                [ JOEY'S POV ]

I see April enter my office and she looks tired as hell, I get up and walk towards her, I give her a hug which she returns. '' How was your day? '' she pulls away from the hug and looks at me '' tiring as hell! "  " you want me to run you a bath? '' '' oh yes please!" I chuckle and walk with her to the bedroom.

I ran her a bath as promised , she finished her bath and got dressed in her pajama's.

We sat down and ate the burgers- it was amazing, I noticed April she looked so tired but yet so beautiful. I got up from my seat and walked over to her - I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the bedroom. 

                                                                                             * 

I put her on the bed and told her to lay on her tummy , I got some oils and then I took her top off and applied some oil on her back- I massaged gently " I never knew you were good at massaging ! "  " babe I'm good at a lot of things ''

                                                                                             * 

After I massaged her , she got up from the bed and that's when I noticed her top was still off. She walked over to me and put her hands around my neck , I put my  hands around her waist - she stared at me and began biting her lip and gosh I loved it when she did that. I quickly leaned down and kissed her- the kiss was so hungry and needy , she wrapped her legs around my waist and her hands were under my top . She broke the kiss and pulled my top off - her hands roamed around my chest. I walked her to the bed and put her down , she then switched positions and I was at the bottom. She leaned down and kissed me and then she started kissing my neck and it turned into small bites, gosh she was so freaking HOT right now.

I switched positions with her and kissed her all over , she smelt like chocolate and I wanted more of that. It became really hectic , after a while of just kissing and teasing around we got serious. It felt like we never saw each other in a long time and that we were so needy of each others touch- the night went by with us making love to each other.

I woke up pretty early this morning; I was currently on my 3rd cup of coffee. I woke up early because I had some work to finish off. 

                                                                                               * 

After I finished everything I got up, left my study to go and check on April. I enter the room and she is still sleeping - her phone starts ringing so I quickly answer it: 

CASSIDY : " Hey April I called to tell you that our client is making a big fuss over the fact that you are not  yet at the studio " 

JOEY: " Hey Cassidy its actually Joey , April is actually busy with something at the moment ; I'll let her know you need her urgently ''

CASSIDY: { surprised} " Oh hi Joey , uh congratulations - you a very lucky man!" 

JOEY : { smiles } " Indeed I am listen let me get April there so Linda doesn't freak out anymore! " 

CASSIDY: '' Okay then bye! " 

JOEY : " Bye! '' 

                                                                                               * 

I ended the call and I look up and I see April opening the curtains, I put her phone down and walk to her. I hug her from behind and she puts her head on my chest. " Morning honey! "  " Morning was that Cassidy on the phone? ''   " yeah apparently Linda is freaking out ! " April turned around and pushed away from me " well then let me get ready!" I chuckle and she enters the bathroom. 

                                                                                       [ APRIL'S POV]

After showering and doing what I had to , I walk to the walk in closet and put on these white high- waisted distressed shorts along with this crisscross waist white striped crop top and over it I put on this zipper long sleeve sheer mash splicing light weight summer jacket. I put ankle socks on and my black n white Adidas- I walk over to the dressing table which is situated in the walk in closet. I open my jewelry box and take out this black laser cut leather choker necklace along with these angel wing crystal dangle drop pendent silver earrings. I put them on and then I do my hair - I comb it and leave it loose and lastly I put my mascara and eyeliner on. 

                                                                                       [ JOEY'S POV]

I took out some bowls for us and put cereal in them, I see April leave the room and I stop what I'm doing and look at her, I notice her outfit  and I start smirking - I love it when she wears short shorts but not only shorts she looks good in anything she wears. She quickly sits down and we eat in silence.

We leave the apartment and enter the lift, these 2 guys greet her and she greets them back then these guys talk to me and to be honest they cool dudes!

The lift opens and we greet the guys and walk towards the car, I notice April going to her car when I stop her. '' I'll drive you! "  " wont you be late? "  " babe I'm the owner ! '' she rolls her eyes at me and we finally get in my car. 

                                                                                                   * 

I'm driving when I take a look at April- her head is against the seat and her eyes are closed, her hands are on her lap. She is so tired she needs to rest but I don't understand how  Linda can be so selfish, once I reach the studio I get out of the car and open the door for April- she is still sleeping but she looks so peaceful and beautiful at the same time. " April! " her eyes slowly open and when its fully open I notice how beautiful her grey eyes look with the eyeliner on " sorry! " I help her out and I lock the car and we walk inside , I intertwined our hands.

Once we inside Cassidy comes running over to us , she looks at April and starts talking " April are you okay - is the baby fine?!" April looks at her very weirdly " Cassidy I'm fine and so is the baby - what's wrong ? '' Cassidy puts her hand on April's shoulder " April you look very tired and if you want we can postpone this event" I couldn't believe Cassidy said that '' Cassidy I'm honestly fine we don't have to postpone the event'' just as Cassidy is about to speak , Linda comes running to us and starts shouting ''Cassidy how incompetent are your artists ? you can't even get them here on time!'' I start getting angry and April notices this and kisses me on my temple I look at her and our eyes connect. I honestly love the way she makes me feel , she looks back at Linda and so do I , she then defends herself'' Morning Linda Brook I'm here now and if we so incompetent why don't you do it yourself !'' Linda then looks at me and takes a step back '' Joey Arthur !what are you doing here ? '' '' hi Linda I assume you don't know ! '' '' know what? ''  I pull April closer to me and she looks at both of us '' Linda this is my fiancé and the mother of my child so I suggest you treat her with a little more respect - she will not be coming to the studio at 6 in the morning because she needs to rest and if I were you I would reconsider on how  you behaving because if you don't already know I can pull out of that deal we made and trust me I'm not afraid to lose the money invested.''  '' You wouldn't be stupid to do that '' '' in case you forgot I'm a millionaire and the only investor willing to look at your modelling company'' Linda was about to speak back when April cut in '' well this is fun and all but we got to get back to work so  Linda don't you perhaps want to go and see the models'' Linda nodded and walked away , Cassidy left us and then I looked at April '' what?''  '' you are seriously an angel! '' she looks at me and shakes her head '' I'm not I was just trying to prevent a fight from happening'' '' I see! '' '' well I have to go see you later!'' I grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her into my chest  '' what now?''  '' I need my goodbye!''  '' Well then goodbye !'' I look at her lips and touch them'' April you my lucky charm ! '' '' I can't be ! '' I look into her eyes'' ever since we got back together everything has just been falling in place and not just that before I met you again I was seriously messed up in my head but when you came along I became more happier - I started hoping again and this time my hopes and dreams came true''  I see tears in her eyes which she quickly wipes away'' you complete me Joey Arthur and I would never dream of spending my life with anyone else except you'' the minute she said those words I instantly smiled and kissed her  and she kissed me back . We pull apart and I look at her '' I'll pick you up around 13:30 pm we going to get lunch '' she nods at me and walks away. 

                                                                                       [ APRIL'S POV]

After I walk away from Joey I notice I  gathered a crowd , I feel something wet on my hands I look down and I see droplets of my tears , I quickly wipe them away. I reach my canvas and sit down " that baby is going to have a very good father!" I look up and notice Caroline , she smiles at me and I smile back.

I start taking  my paint brushes and sketchbook  out I dip my paint brush in some black paint and apply it to my white canvas - since I found out it was Rock n Roll I did some research and I decided to  combine some guitars along with a lot of red , black n white colors and I was going to need to add a person to portray in my paintings.

I painted my canvas with black paint , I added red in the background , I noticed one of the models on the runway and stopped him " hey can you just stand still for about 5 minutes "  " um sure! "  I looked at him and made a cartoon version on my canvas I added white n red to his clothing wear and lastly I added a guitar in his hands. I wrote Rock n Roll in big white letters.

I thanked the model and he left , I looked at my canvas and I was so impressed with what I did . I waited for it to dry and then took a black sheet and put it over the canvas ; I looked at my phone it was only 11 which meant I still had enough time to make smaller paintings only representing the theme . I took out a smaller canvas the size of 12 by 12. The first 5 canvases I painted it black n white mixed with red and green tiles with the words Rock n Roll in big white letters , the last 5 canvases I added a lot of red and beige guitars along with some sayings such as : 

~ ROCK N ROLL # BORN TO BE FREE### 

~  I HAVE ROCK N ROLL PUMPING THROUGH MY VEINS !!! 

~ *** ROCK N ROLL AWAKENS MY SOUL*** 

~   

~ …TODAYS MUSIC AIN'T GOT THAT SAME SOUL . I LIKE THAT OLD TIME ROCK N ROLL...

After my paintings dried , I covered it all ; the big event is taking place on Friday afternoon so on Thursday which is tomorrow I shall put the paintings up. 

                                                                                                     * 

I packed my supplies away and went to the bathroom and washed my hands. I came out and noticed Joey standing there talking to Cassidy. Joey then came walking over to me " hey babe are you ready to leave?"  " hi yeah I am I just need you to help me carry these canvases to your car. "   Are you done with your task?"    '' yes I am - I completed 10 small paintings and the main painting"  I smiled at him and he chuckles " okay then my lovely fiancé let me take this to the car! " Joey took my canvases and I took my bag of supplies and walked over to Cassidy and she notices me " Hey Cassidy , I'm done for the day may I leave ? "  " yes you may what time are you coming in tomorrow " " I'll be coming in the afternoon about 5 - I finished the task and now I just have to place them in the right spot. "  " That's impressive well I shall see you on Friday afternoon  - I wont be here tomorrow I have to get an outfit for this event "  '' I'll see you then! "

I got into Joey's car after putting my supplies on the back seat , I put my seat belt on and he started driving . I kept on looking at the roads - they were different compared to the roads I took , I looked at Joey " where are we going ? ''  " its a surprise! " he looks at me and smirks I lean further in my seat and sigh. After a while I ask him again and this time no response so I lean towards him and kiss him on his cheek , I was about to sit  properly back  in my seat when he pulls over to the side of the road - he puts the car off and turns to look at me he puts his hand on my chin and kisses my lips I kiss him back. I moved from my seat and I was sitting on his lap - the kiss deepened and I found my hands on his suit jacket , I took it off not breaking the kiss - my hands started unbuttoning his shirt and I could feel his hands around my jacket he pulls it off and his hands go to my top he was about to pull it off when we heard a car horn hooting . I broke away from the kiss and look outside and then back at Joey - he was biting his lip and then he leaned forward and kisses me again . The kiss was about to get really intense when I broke away from the kiss , I look at Joey and he looks back at me - I noticed his shirt was unbuttoned and his chest was showing" I guess we lost control "   " yip we did " I buttoned his shirt and look back at him  , he runs his hand through his hair " April ! "  " yes "  " I love you so much ! "  I smile at him - whenever he would say those 3 words I felt so happy " Joey I love you as well! " 

                                                                                          [ JOEY'S POV ] 

Oh my god I cant believe I almost lost control , imagine someone driving past and seeing April only in her undergarments . I have to control myself but how can I - I'm absolutely in love with her . 

                                                                                                     *

We drove the rest of the way to the restaurant in silence - I would occasionally look at April , I put my one hand on her thigh and she looks at me with raised eyebrows " Joey are you trying to kill us ? ''  " of course not I just want to feel your skin against mine "   " maybe after lunch we can go to the beach and then you can see and feel as much as you want " I smirk  and continue driving " what are you planning ? "   "nothing! "  " Joey! "   " I was just thinking about all the fun I can have with you at the beach! " 

                                                                                                      * 

We reach the restaurant and I look at April " you do know right that this is a very private restaurant ! "  " I know ! " 

                                                                                                      * 

We walk in the restaurant and take our seats ; April was about to order when I ordered for both of us vegetable stir fry and water . She glares at me " I hate vegetables ! "  ''well we both eating vegetables because I read somewhere that pregnant woman need to eat healthy and the best way to do that is if their partners also eat healthy to motivate their partner. '' 

                                                                                                     * 

The food came and April looks at it " come on you will love it ! " she took small bites and literally tried swallowing it , after we finished she looks at me. " You owe me a milkshake "  " no I don't ''  " you forced me to eat that green stuff so you do ! " she starts pouting at me and I couldn't take it any longer so I order us a milkshake!

When the milkshake arrives she looks at me " we sharing?! "  " yes we are "  " Joey why ? ''

April drinks  the milkshake and then I notice she was going to finish it so I took it from her and finished it - I look back at her and she's pouting . The waiter came by and noticed her so he inquired what's going on? I looked at the waiter " my dear fiancé over here is pregnant and she practically begged me to get her a milkshake and after a while I did , we were supposed to share but then she had better ideas she wanted to finish it  all by herself but I stopped her and drank the rest of it ."   The waiter started laughing and looks at April , she stops pouting and looks at him " hi miss I understand how you feel , my sister was also pregnant and she used to do similar things - my brother in law used to call me to help deal with her " April smiles at him and asks for his name " I'm Chris and you are? ''  April then responds " I'm April ! " 

                                                                                                       *

After lunch we drove back home , April wanted to go to the beach so we decided to go to the beach about 2 minutes away from us. 

                                                                                          [ APRIL'S POV ]

I quickly got to the walk in closet and changed in this white rib mix and match bikini top , over it I put on a striped sarong sling dress. I took off all my jewelry, I told Joey that I'll meet him at the beach ; I put on sandals and sunblock and left the apartment.

I reached the beach and I noticed how beautiful it was- it had soft white sand , amazing clear blue water. I walked further and I noticed Joey he was wearing white shorts with no top on , his hair was messy.

I walked to him and I noticed all these ladies looking at him , I rolled my eyes they better not try something or else " hey baby ! "   " hey love "  I smiled at him. 

                                                                                          [ JOEY'S POV ]

I noticed April and walked over to her '' you perhaps want to show me some skin " she rolls her eyes. She took the dress off and then I noticed her bikini , I looked at her fully acknowledging that she was looking damn hot in that bikini.  '' Like what you seeing ? "  " oh baby I love what I'm seeing " I walked over to her and put my hands around her waist " you know you attracted quite a lot of woman back there ! "   " I know but you know what , you are hotter then all of them '' April's hands touched my 6 pack " I love what I'm seeing ! "   " what are you seeing ?"   "Well I got a very hot fiancé " that was actually the first time I heard her say that and I have to admit it is quite a turn on. 

                                                                                                        * 

We finally stepped in the water and I hear April shriek , I look at her and she jumps on me - her legs wrapping around my torso , she was looking in the water . " Are you scared ? " she looks at me " its cold!'' I look at her and start laughing , she rolls her eyes.  " April I seriously thought you were scared ! " I say it in between laughs she hits me  playfully on the chest " don't laugh at me ! " she jumps off me and walks further in the water- she yelps but continues walking in. I go after her  but she runs away" April are you upset with me ? " she continues walking away from me " babe I'm sorry for laughing! "

I look around for April but she's gone , I see her sitting on the sand I walk towards her and sit down.  " I'm sorry I was a total jerk back there " April doesn't look at me " honey talk to me! " she looks at me and I notice her eyes are full of tears " hey don't cry I'm sorry I should be the one apologizing" she puts her head on my shoulder and I pull her in front of me , she puts her head back on my chest " I'm sorry for laughing!" " I'm sorry I overreacted ! " I smile and she looks back at me and smiles '' we should leave ! "  " agreed" 

                                                                                          [ APRIL'S POV]

I was currently sitting in the bathtub ,  I washed my body and hair. I hear the shower turn off Joey gets out. I get out, dry myself and change into pajama's . I dry my hair leaving it loose. I leave the room and enter the kitchen - I make myself some tea and walk to the mini library. I'm so mesmerized by how beautiful it looks. I sit down on the couch and read this book called AMELIA. 

                                                                                          [ JOEY'S POV ]

I walk around the apartment looking for April , I notice the library door open I walk inside and I see April laying on the couch drinking tea and reading a book. I instantly smile and walk towards the couch and squeeze in between her.  I start reading the pages she's reading and I soon know what's happening , I notice April snuggling more into me and I wrap my arms around her. I kiss her on the cheek, she looks at me and smiles, I truly am a lucky man !
