CHAPTER 7: [ APRIL'S POV]

I opened my eyes slowly , I looked around it was my apartment but how did I get here. I remember I was at Rico's event, I stood up slowly and I see these blue eyes looking directly at me , OMG! did something happen between Joey and me last night- I remember him carrying me to his car and me trying to escape from him and I also remember we kissing, that was totally unplanned ugh why did I have to let my feelings get the better of me? '' Morning beautiful , how are you feeling" I just stare at Joey" what are you doing here ? " I rub my eyes " you don't remember! " I look at Joey confused " remember what? '' so something else happened " let me tell you then" I stood up completely " give me 15 minutes then you can start"

I walked to my bedroom and entered it , I closed the door behind me and I walked over to my bathroom and entered it.

I got out of the shower and I changed in these cute blue short - shorts with this black loose fitting t-shirt. I combed my hair and put it in a messy bun ; I put some ankle socks on and some black n white converse shoes.

I entered my living room and I noticed Joey sitting on the couch busy with his phone, I totally forgot about him. I walked in the kitchen and took a bowl out and poured some coco pops in the bowl , I opened the refrigerator and took out the milk - I poured the milk over the coco pops. I put the milk away and turned around. Joey was looking at me '' what are you looking at ? '' I took a spoon and put it in my bowl, I walked towards the couch and sat down opposite Joey. " You look beautiful!'' Joey tells me '' yeah and you look tired ! " I tell Joey " ouch that stung" I give him this look " get used to it! " I took a spoonful of my cereal and ate it " I'm here because I brought you home last night '' duh! " Rico drugged you and he tried seducing you , do you remember? " I almost choked on my cereal "WHAT!?'' I thought about it for a second I remember him offering me a drink and then he was touching me so I ran away from him and that's when I bumped into Joey , of course I remember . " I dealt with him you don't have to worry! " that wasn't enough for me " I want revenge! he has to pay for what he did " Joey runs his hand through his hair '' hold on my tigress - you cant mess with Rico Johnson" bullshit " well I can I'm a woman he'll never see it coming " I stood up from the couch and I grabbed my phone from the counter , I opened my phone and I noticed 15 missed calls from Caroline - I'll call her later I went to my contacts and dialed Cassidy:
CASSIDY: " Hi April , how can I help you on this beautiful Sunday morning ? "
APRIL: " Hey um I needed Rico's number ! "
CASSIDY : " Everything alright ? ''
APRIL: " Yeah everything is fine "
CASSIDY : " Okay then I'll send you the number ! "
APRIL: '' Thank you , we'll chat tomorrow! "
I received Rico's number and I dialed it , I walked back to the couch and sat down:
RICO : " Hello whose speaking? "
APRIL: '' Hey love its April! "
RICO: " Oh hi , how can I help you ? "
APRIL: " What does a girl have to do to get you alone ? "
RICO: " Sneaky aren't you ! "
APRIL: " Just the way you like it ! "
RICO : { starts laughing } " meet me tomorrow at Surfs Up"
APRIL: " I cant wait !" { grinning }

I ended the call and look up and I see Joey giving me this weird look " JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT! what are you , some teenager ? " I roll my eyes " relax will you ! I don't think I despise anyone as much as I despise Rico! " Joey looks at me " I hope so ! " Joey tells me " you should get going its pretty late " I tell Joey " I should !" just then I remembered Zack , I took my phone out '' are you calling your boyfriend? no use he left town already " I looked at Joey " why? " Joey looked chill " I made him leave" I was shocked "WHAT THE HELL!!!'' Joey looks intently at me " I want to be with you April just give me a chance! " I didn't know what to say , after all these years he still wants me . " Say something! " I sighed " Joey how is this possible ? " I was so confused '' I always loved you and no matter how hard I try not to , I can't stop loving you "

I walked over to the door to open it but I felt this presence behind me , I immediately turned around and Joey pinned me to the door - my heart beat was rising due to the close proximity " you feel it too don't you? " I looked at him confused " feel what? " he put his hands around my waist and pulled me closer , our noses were almost touching. " Say you love me! " he asks me " what if I don't ? '' Joey looked sad " then I'll leave " I began to speak " do you know why I never dated after you its because I always loved you and as much as I hate to admit , Joey Arthur you one hell of a man not to love , Joey began smirking and leaned closer and kissed me I kissed him back. I gripped his tuxedo and pulled him closer - the kiss became hungrier . I put my legs around Joey's waist and I put my hands around his neck - his hands roamed around my t-shirt.
[ JOEY'S POV]
I kissed her hungrily , her hands went around my neck . I slowly walked towards her bedroom and her legs were fastened around my waist.

It was in the morning and I was already awake, I had to go home and grab a few clothes. I walked back in April's apartment and immediately went to her room, I noticed her already dressed in these black ripped jeans with a black lace top and some white converse shoes - her hair was in this ponytail. She looked really good this morning , she turned around and noticed me, she walked towards me and smiled " what are you thinking about? " she asked me " just how hot you look! " I added a smirk. She walked up to me and looked me over " you look YUM! " she put her hands around me and kissed me I kissed her back, her hand slides under my t-shirt and she draws small circles on my skin- we broke away from the kiss and we walked to the kitchen.

We left her apartment together and we reached outside she turned to me " I'll see you tonight" she smiles " yeah you will" I smile back at her " love you" I tell her feeling happy about it " I love you too! "
[ APRIL'S POV]
Caroline met me at the café -she knew everything and she was getting worried about me.

I drove to Surfs Up , I reached the beach and I looked at myself in the mirror one last time before I put my plan in action. I got out of the car and walked towards the restaurant Surfs Up - its a nice restaurant and they serve the best sushi ever made. I looked down at my outfit ; it may have shown a little cleavage but this outfit was needed so my plan could work , I needed to catch this scumbag - Rico.

I was walking towards his table with my glass of lemonade in my hand; he noticed me and approached me instead. He greeted me with a hug which didn't really go as planned for him- he got drenched with my lemonade " I'm so so so sorry ! I'm so callous " Rico didn't seem upset " its not your fault give me a minute or two I'll be right back" I simply nodded.

Rico returned and we were having this conversation with each other but his eyes kept on looking at my top " is everything alright ? " Rico looks at me " yeah its just that you look very beautiful- do you perhaps want to spend the night by me? " what an asshole he is " I cant I have plans tonight " I make an excuse "cancel them! " Rico tells me impatiently " I cant! " Rico gets up from his seat and came to sit next to me , his hands were on my jeans ,he leaned closer to me and his hand went up to my top. I got up from my seat and smacked him" HOW DARE YOU!!!"

Everybody turned their attention to us ; no one got that close to me except for Joey. The owner came to our table and asked me what's wrong ? '' I'm sorry but this man tried seducing me , the owner looked at Rico and Rico immediately stood up and tried defending himself " she's lying I did nothing !" this b****y i***t " I'M LYING- LOOK AT YOURSELF !!!"

We fought and scream a lot , Rico tried getting close to me but that earned him another smack , he eventually caught hold of my wrists and tightened his grip on it " You are hurting me! " the owner finally came back and got the security guards to get Rico's hands of me.

They finally got him banned from Surfs Up and then the owner asked if I was okay - I responded by saying yes.

There's the saying: Throw me to the wolves and I will return leading the pack.

He wanted to seduce me in front of every influential person and put the blame on me but look how the tables have turned. I got him banned from a restaurant and you know what's even better he got embarrassed for one person and that being a female - its true when they say we got woman power.

After leaving Surfs Up I went home , I took a shower and I got changed in my pajama's

I went in the kitchen and made myself a sandwich that's when I noticed my wrist swelling up. I took out some ointment and put it on my wrist - I took a bandage and tied it on my wrist.

It was 6 in the evening and I was eating ice cream by my balcony , I was looking down upon the beautiful lit lantern lights by the beach and I was singing along to the beat of Collide by Lady Zamar. I heard a knock on the door so I left the balcony ; I put my ice cream down on the kitchen counter.

I opened the door and I see Joey standing there , I instantly smile and hug him , he hugs me back . I hear the door opposite mine opening Joey and I turn around. '' April its good to see you um I was just wondering who this guy is ? " I break away from the hug and Joey pulls into his side, he puts his hands on my waist in a protective manner. " Oh hi Isaac! this is Joey , Joey this is Isaac" they both look at each other awkwardly " right I see so his no stranger" I smile " nope Isaac his perfectly safe ! '' my smile grew bigger " well then nice to meet you , I wish I could talk longer but I have to go - um good night ! " Isaac starts to walk away " night Isaac! "

We walked back in my apartment and I turned to look at Joey '' I don't like that guy ! " Joey states " you said that about Zack'' I give Joey a questioning look " I had a reason!" Joey tells me " what was that reason? " Joey walked towards me and puts his hands around my waist , he leaned closer to my neck and kissed it " the reason would be that you are on my mind " he stopped kissing my neck and kissed my lips- we stood there kissing each other until we couldn't anymore " hmm I missed you so much " Joey tells me with a drool visible on his face " but you saw me this morning ! " Joey sighs '' April you a very attractive woman and I have to admit that when I'm not around you I become crazy " I walked away from Joey and took my ice cream on the counter " want some ? " I ask Joey " maybe later !"
[ JOEY'S POV]
I cant believe how everything changes so fast - one minute I hate April next I'm becoming protective over her.

We were sitting on her balcony and we were talking about Rico ." April its pretty impressive that you got him banned from Surfs Up ! " she instantly started smiling , gosh I loved her smile. '' Told you he'll never see it coming" that's when I noticed the bandage on her wrist I became instantly furious " WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR WRIST? " April looks at her wrist " its nothing " is she serious right now " what happened ? " April looks at me " so after countless times of smacking Rico he decided that maybe holding my wrist really hard would make me stop smacking him - he held my wrist really hard that's all '' she didn't seem concerned about her wrist but I was " this is a very serious matter - let me see! " April pouted " no I'm fine "

I ran around her apartment trying to catch her and then she ran to the balcony and she stopped " OMG ITS ON! " I was confused " what's on ? " she looked at me with a smile on her face , she walked towards me and pouted " my favorite song is on, please dance with me ! " the song Singing in the shower by Becky G came on " Singing in the shower is your favorite song ? " I had no idea " YESS! now please dance with me!" she was so excited " I'm sorry I cant dance !" she huffed and walked away " fine then watch me dance! "

As promised she danced to the song - she swayed her hips left and right and she sang along . DAMN THIS GIRL COULD SING AND DANCE!!!

When the song finished she walked over to me and put her hands on her hips - she looked so HOT when she did that " you lied didn't you ? " I shrugged " maybe I did " she just shook her head and walked inside. I followed her " are you staying over ? " she asked me " yeah is that alright with you ! " she nods "yip ! "

[ APRIL'S POV]
Joey went to shower so I decided to make us supper - I made for us spaghetti Bolognese.

I finish set the table when I felt these pair of hands around my waist " you look hot ! " I smiled a little " are you trying to apologize for lying about not dancing? " I was still upset at that " do you want me too? " I smiled again " I would appreciate it if you did " I tell Joey " okay then I'm sorry "

We ate supper and then Joey got a phone call so he went to the bedroom , I took out some ice cream and put for us in a bowl ; then I went to the bedroom after finishing the dishes.

I entered the room and sat on the bed, Joey paced around the room talking to Jeremy on the phone and he soon finished and came to sit next to me on the bed " everything alright ? '' Joey looks at me " yeah its just I'm throwing a party at my house tomorrow - do you want to come ? " Joey asks me " unfortunately I'm going to be at the art shop till pretty late - we got a big project ! " he nods '' no worries ! '' he was chill about it " I got you ice cream" I handed him the bowl and he took it .
[ JOEY'S POV ]
We decide to lay on the bed , I decided to feed her ice cream and now an then I would deliberately mess her and then I would kiss her to make up for it - she rested her head on my chest and I put my arms around her - we were watching Brooklyn Nine - Nine together. I looked down at her and intertwined our hands ; she was so beautiful I couldn't have loved anyone as much as I love her. We snuggled into the blankets and she would occasionally mess my hair, she looked at me and I looked back at her. " What's wrong ? " she bit her lip and smiled , she then climbed on my lap and looked at me and I placed my hands on her thighs.

She leaned forward and kissed me I kissed her back , my hands went around her waist and she buried her hands under my top - she traced my 6 pack. I deepened the kiss and soon I was on top of her and not once did we break the kiss and lets just say the rest of the night was spent making love to each other.
