CHAPTER 12 : [ APRIL'S POV]

I woke up and I looked to see if Joey was still sleeping but he was already gone , I got up , made the bed and opened the curtains. 

                                                                                          * 

I walked in the bathroom , did my business and then got in the shower. 

                                                                                          * 

I came out and got  dressed in this pink New Zone off shoulder 3/4 sleeves strapless romper jumpsuit. I put on some white ankle socks and then I put on my Adidas superstar cloud white & copper metallic shoes. I combed my hair out and put it in this half - up Boho bun hairstyle. Lastly I put on my mascara, eyeliner and a little Chanel perfume.

I walk out of the room and go an open the curtains in the lounge. I decide to go out on the balcony and see how the view looks from up there. I open the sliding door and step out on the balcony , I walk towards the railing and I look down - I see the ocean in the distance and I also see the beautiful city.

I walk back inside , I walk towards the gym to see if maybe Joey is there , I walk inside and I spot Joey lifting some weights , I notice this bench and walk towards it and sit down. His back is towards me so he doesn't notice me.

I notice his only wearing black shorts and no top , he has his air pods in his ears ; I never figured he was a music kind of a guy. He walks towards these other equipment and I notice how his arms flex - Joey has always been this fit kind of  a guy. He turns around and notices me ; he stops exercising and walks to me  "morning beautiful , how did you sleep? "  " morning love , I slept quite well actually. "   He stood in front of me, took my hand and lifts me up to my feet , he then took the same hand and places it under my chin , he leans forward and kisses me. I kiss him back but I soon break the kiss and push him away which really didn't work because if you felt his chest it feels like its made of rock. He looks at me " why did you push me away ? "  " you sweaty! "  he ends up chuckling and tries to kiss me but this time I run away from him , I ran in the library and then I ran to the lounge , I was standing behind the couch so he jumped over and I ran to the kitchen , I was  about to jump on  top of the counter when he stopped me.

I look at him and he comes closer to me until I was sitting on the kitchen counter- he stood in between my legs. I looked at his chest and when I looked up I noticed him looking at my lips it didn't occur to me at the time that I was biting my lip. He leans forward and I took the wooden chopping board and put it in front of me , he grabbed my hand which was holding the chopping board and his other hand went around my waist. He took the chopping board out of my hand without breaking eye contact with me and put it down on the counter.

He leans forward and kisses me - the kiss was very rough at first , I kiss him back and deepened the kiss. My hands went around his neck and I pulled him closer to me , his hands went up to my back and I could feel him loosening my romper. My hands were still around his neck , the kiss was becoming really hectic - he unloosened my romper and I felt it fall off his hands then went to my brassiere , he was about to unclip it when there was a knock on the front door. We broke away from the kiss and he looks at me , he comes closer and kisses my neck which turns into small bites. I felt his hand try to unclip my brassiere when the knock came again , he groans out of annoyance and pulls away from me. He looks at me and puts both his hands on the side of the counter " this is to be continued! "

Joey walks into the bedroom , I put my romper back on and tied it at the back. I look at myself one more time and went to answer the door. I open it and I see Tim - one of the guys I met in the elevator who knew who I was already " morning neighbor ! " he smiles at me and I smile back at him. " Morning Tim , how may I help you ? "  " this letter got dropped off at the wrong address I believe it belongs to you ! "  I took the letter from him " thank you! "  " you welcome I'll see you around ! " " see you around ! "

I closed the door and walked over to the couch and I started reading the letter - I heard someone in the kitchen but it must of been Joey. The letter was from Royal Modelling Company , I was invited by Linda Brook. I felt this hand on my shoulder and I look up " breakfast is ready! "  I get up from the couch and put the letter on the kitchen counter " what's the letter about? "   " I got invited to a modelling company event by Linda Brook - the one we working on ! "  " I'm coming along and I'll take you "  I nodded and took a seat, I look at the plate in front of me - it was an omelet with mushrooms and vegetables, I decided to eat it and not complain because Joey went out of his way to do this. I picked my fork n knife up and started eating ; I could feel Joey looking at me . I then drank the glass of juice he poured for me - after we ate I washed our plates out and packed them away.

I suddenly got a phone call so I answered the call : 

MRS. GREEN : " Morning dear I called to tell you we wont be having dance classes today! " 

APRIL: " Is everything alright ? " 

MRS . GREEN : " My grandchild just gave birth to a cute little baby girl so I'm on my way to the hospital as we speak " 

APRIL: '' Aww that's so cute um I'll see you next week then ! " 

MRS. GREEN : " Okay bye ! " 

APRIL : " Bye ! "

I ended the call and I look up and see Joey putting his grey suit jacket on - I walk over to him and help him. " Who was that? "  " it was Mrs. Green she cancelled class today because her grandchild gave birth to a baby girl ''  " I see , it will be our turn soon enough ! "  '' it will "  " what are your plans for today? ''  " I have a few things to do and then at 5 I need to go set up my paintings at the studio "  " interesting! "  I walked over to the counter and grabbed Joey's phone, his car keys and his wallet ; I handed it to him and kissed him on his cheek. He kissed me on my forehead " do you have any meetings today? ''  " yeah a big one actually ! "  " well then good luck! "  Joey bent down and kissed my tummy , he then kisses me on my lips - he looks at me " I love you ! " I smile at him " I love you too"

It was about 3 in the afternoon and I was sitting in my art studio painting when I get a phone call from Joey: 

JOEY : " Hey babe I need you to go to my study and on my desk - there is a blue folder can you perhaps bring it to the company ? '' 

APRIL: " Sure I'll be there give me 10 minutes! "

I grabbed the blue folder and then my car keys, phone, wallet and ran out of the apartment.  My canvases were already in my car so I didn't need to worry.

I reached the company , grabbed the folder along with my car keys and phone. I entered the company and the receptionist greets me.

I reach the board room and Jeff was standing there , he saw me and comes over " hi is that the folder? ''   "yes here you go! "   we were standing outside the board room talking when we heard Joey's voice " both of you come inside! "  I look at Jeff and he shrugs , we both entered the board room and I noticed all these businessman looking at me - I felt out of place. I noticed Joey was sitting at the head of the table , I walked past the businessman and reached Joey - I handed him the folder and he looks at me and smiles , all my nervousness died down and I smile back at him. He then addressed the businessman telling them I'm his fiancé and mother of his child ; I got a lot of compliments such as I'm beautiful. 

                                                                             [ JOEY'S POV ] 

I noticed how nervous April was but then she started opening up and speaking to the businessman , then the one businessman looks at me and speaks " so Joey is she the reason behind your sudden cheerfulness and your new strategic plans? "  " what can I say- she is amazing" the businessman then ask her what's her occupation and when she tells them they all shocked " Joey we surprised that she is a realism artist we expected a lawyer or something " the questions continue and then I look at April - she is looking at the time on her phone " babe is everything fine? " she looks at me " I have to get going I'll see you at home wait lets change that idea I'll meet you at the tenpin bowling range about 6 , is that fine with you ? "  " yeah that's fine "  " okay then see you at 6 and don't be late ! "   " you got it! "  she turns to the businessman and tells them it was an honor to meet them and then she walks out with Jeff. 

                                                                             [ APRIL'S POV ]

I reached the studio and take the paintings one at the time.

I managed to set the paintings in its respective order , I then walked out of the studio and got in my car and drove to the mall . While driving I put on my playlist and the song Crazy in love by Beyoncé comes on, I sing along to the song and then I come to a red light and stop. I look out of my window and I see this Ferrari on my right , the guy opens his window and smiles at me " you got some moves girl I've been watching how you drive and not to mention the way you singing" I just look at the guy like his crazy. The light turns green and I drive leaving the weird guy behind , I reached the mall and parked my car.

I walked towards the tenpin bowling range , I reached and then I noticed Joey already there - I walked over to him.

Joey and I were sitting on a draw he knocked all 10 pins out the first try which is called a strike , we played a few more times until I won him. We left the tenpin bowling and we decided to go walk around the mall, we came across this musical shop and I decided to go inside. I entered and looked around ; there were guitars , pianos , drums, a violin and many more. " Do you know how to play one instrument ? "  I look at Joey and smile " well love lets find out! " 

                                                                               [ JOEY'S POV ]

I watched April walk around until she finally decided to play the violin , she sat down and started. It was slow at first but very beautiful to hear- I never knew she was so talented. Her hands did their own thing , I noticed some customers come in and they came to see who was playing, the owner also came by. " Is that your wife? "  I look at the owner " she's my fiancé ! "  " well she is very talented! "  I smile at him and look back at April - I took my phone out and started recording her playing.

She finally finished and when she got up , all the customers including myself and the owner started clapping for her. She just smiled ; she walked over to me. The customers started telling her how beautiful she played and the owner suggested her to come and play more often. She looks back at me and intertwines our hands " I never knew I could play but what's more surprising is that I have a feeling that the baby liked hearing me play! "  I smile at her and she continues telling me how amazing it felt and I cant do anything much but be happy for her. She walks over to the owner and talks him. 

                                                                               [ APRIL'S POV ]

After discovering that I can play the violin I cant help but feel so overjoyed I walk over to the owner " hey do you sell violins? "  " I do actually , I have a rare collection! "  " I would like to buy one! "  The guy looks around then smiles at me " I'm willing to make a trade! "  " what's the trade about? "  " this shop doesn't get a lot of profit if you can buy one of the most expensive violins  I have - it will really help ! "  " Show me the violins ! " he goes to the back of the shop and then returns with 3 cases . He opens them and explains to me which is which and then he shows me the most expensive one " how much is this one? ''   " about 8000 dollars ! " I look at the guy like his crazy , I feel Joey's hands on my waist and I look at him and smile. '' I can buy it for you ! "  " I don't expect you too '' the owner then speaks up " what's your name sir? "  Joey then answers him " Joey Arthur " I look at the owner and his in shock " you the youngest millionaire ! " Joey smiles at him " yes I am . " The owner then looks at me " miss you very lucky to have him as your fiancé! " I look at the owner '' I'm not with him for his wealth I'm with him for his heart- he's the most amazing , kind , intelligent person I have ever met and I know one day he'll be a great father and husband!"  " you pregnant miss?! "  " yes I am "  " congratulations "  " thank you "  I pull out my credit card and hand it to the owner " I'll buy the violin! "  Joey obviously refuses and as the guy is about to insert my credit card in the machine Joey stops him. " I'll buy it and its final" I look at Joey " please I want to buy this with my own money! "  " I understand that but as your future husband I want to buy it and look at it this way you said it will make the baby happy so I don't need any other excuse other than it will make you and the baby happy so I'm buying it and its final ! "  I roll my eyes at him " fine but just this time! "  " There will be many more more times! " 

                                                                              [ JOEY'S POV ]

I couldn't believe April wanted to buy the violin with her own money , after insisting she finally allowed me to. I couldn't have asked for anyone better - she is clearly not a gold digger, after the owner packed the violin in its bag we greeted him and left the mall. April got in her car and I got in mine , I noticed how fast she was driving - I'm pretty sure that she's upset.  I reached the apartment and she was closing the curtains , she then went to the bedroom.

After I showered I entered the kitchen and I noticed supper was ready , April cooked chicken piccata.

We ate in silence and then April got up , took our plates, washed and dried them. After a while I went to my study to get a few things when I entered the kitchen I noticed April sitting there - I walked over to her and she got up and hugged me , I hugged her back. " I'm sorry I'm just used to being independent ! "  " its ok I get it . " She then walked to the kitchen and came back carrying a bowl of fruit salad  " I made you some fruit salad and in case you wondering I already had! "  " thank you, are you busy right now? "   " I have something to do , afterwards I'll meet you in the room "  " okay then! " 

                                                                                    [ APRIL'S POV ]

I walked in the library and sat down on the floor - I was reading this book about baby names. I started getting tired so I closed the book and put it away.

I entered the bedroom and went to the bathroom.

I came out and took a comb and brushed my hair , I turned around and I notice Joey looking at me.  I walk over to the bed and sit across him " hi! "  he smiles at me and I smile back - while sitting on the bed I plaited my hair. " You look beautiful ! " I crawled over to Joey and sat next to him , I turned to my side and looked at him , he looks back at me. I made myself more comfortable on the bed so I ended up laying on the bed and I turned to my side and continued looking at Joey. It was like a staring competition. 

                                                                                    [ JOEY'S POV  ]

I sat on the bed looking at April she was just staring at me . I then looked away and  she starts laughing  "you give up too easily ! " I smirk at look at her ,  I then slowly lower myself to her - I look in her eyes and then I look at her lips. I put my hand on her chin and slowly kiss her on her lips . It was a very passionate kiss , we then switched the lights off and we slept.
