CHAPTER 2: [ APRIL'S POV]

I was sitting on my chair and lightly painting a canvas , I was thinking of the required task and then I got the faintest idea of something  out of the blue but I would need Caroline to help me with that but she is far too busy with Jeremy to even consider helping me so I scratched that idea out but it was too late " you need my help, huh? " I looked at her " yes please! I just need you to tell me the theme " she was silent for about 10 minutes or so  I'm not precise but yeah " No ! how could you ask me that I would never betray Jeremy , forget it " I looked at her with pleading eyes " please Caroline I'm begging you , I would do anything for you but please just say yes" Caroline's eyes went big " you said anything hmm looks like we have a deal the theme is black n white - something to do with the 80's now for that information I need you to be the lead for the next dance class and I choose the place " I looked at Caroline " um I cant promise anything ! '' Caroline rolled her eyes " well its either that or the offer is off the table " I pouted " fine I'll get her to agree , where must I meet you ? " Caroline grinned " the studio on Oakley  Street"

The next day at dance class I made my way to Mrs. Green and started telling her about me being the lead but I didn't tell what it was for. She looked  at me blankly and I could already tell her answer was going to be a huge NO" On what basis should I allow you to do this ?" I took a steady breath" you would be helping someone out if you do this, I promise!" I hated lying to her but Caroline wasn't exactly wrong for wanting me to be the lead she has seen me a few times and absolutely recommended I be the lead. " Fine I'll meet you tomorrow on Oakley Street wear something pretty ! " I smiled " thank you so much Mrs. Green I'll see you tomorrow " I could not believe it she just said yes.

I was standing in front of my closet and I absolutely had no idea what to wear , I bet if Mrs. Green was here she would say I see plenty of options. I finally settled on this beautiful baby pink dress and I matched it with white heels , the dress had an open chest piece and an open  back. I made my hair a little wavy and put it in a high ponytail , I put on some jewelry and I left my apartment.

I reached Oakley Street and entered the studio , I looked around and I noticed other dancers and some of them were guys. Caroline came running to me , " you look so beautiful " I smiled " thanks Caroline " Caroline smiled back " you know some of these guys look interested in you " I scoffed " shame ! " Caroline laughed and I just rolled my eyes , I took my heels off and started dancing I could feel a lot of stares on me and also I got a lot of undivided attention from the guys walking pass the studio I finally stopped dancing and went to put my heels on , some guy approached me and I looked at him.

'' I LOOKED AT YOU AND I ALREADY KNEW YOU WERE MY FUTURE!!!" this guy just tried a pick up line on me, just wow! I stood up and looked at this guy, " I'm Zack and you are? "  I offered a small smile " I'm April" Caroline came along and stood next to me , she put her arms on my shoulders and Zack who was so concentrated on me stepped closer and out eyes met. No talking just staring " can I have your number?" I soon gave it to him and he greeted me and then left. Caroline looked at me and I just shrugged "April did the cat catch your tongue I mean you were silent" I looked around and then paid attention to Caroline " I know I know can we just forget  what happened and find Mrs. Green !"  Caroline sighed " Oh she left , she said well done " I smiled widely " okay then let's go to Starbucks! "

We left Starbucks and Caroline couldn't stop talking about Zack and then she nudged me and I looked in her direction , up ahead was the owner of Arthur CORPORATIONS -he wore a navy suit and had sunglasses on." April look Cassidy is walking  in our direction" I looked and I noticed Cassidy wasn't alone she was walking with the owner of Arthur CORPORATIONS. " I wonder why she's walking with him " Caroline was not wrong to wonder but it wasn't our concern , word has it that Cassidy  knew the owner. Cassidy appeared in front of us and started introducing him to us but I felt like there was something familiar about him , Caroline mentioned his name being Joey or something but that couldn't be because I made a choice to leave my hometown and come to a different town where he wouldn't find me but I guess I'm wrong.

He looked at me and I just knew it , he was back but maybe this time  around , for revenge - I did the only thing possible I walked away and Caroline soon followed . I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around and hugged Caroline . " HIS BACK!" Caroline patted my back " whose back? "  I looked at her " Joey Arthur ! '' Caroline looked confused " you mean that guy back there was Joey ! " I took a sharp breath "YES!"  Caroline looked shocked " okay ! you need to calm down I don't want you having a panic attack " I nod  "okay! " Caroline looked at me with concern " It's going to be fine" she pulled me in a hug and I hugged her back.
